CHAPTER 13
I was woken up because of the noises.
“W.. what’s going on?”
“It’s the man earlier”
“I’m sorry, milady. This is my fault, I was getting some food then, I didn’t noticed he followed me here”
“It’s okay scarlet”
“I should go out”

I immediately stopped Amelia. She mustn’t go out. I approached the door. There’s a small hole there that allowed us to see who’s knocking on the door.
I saw a man walking around. He seems to be irritated. Maybe, he don’t want to be kept waiting.
“Did you call the receptionist about this?”
“A.. a call?”
“Yes? Is there no telephone here?”
“What are you talking about, milady?”
“Oh? I mean a communication device?”
“No, only letters is our way of communicating here, milady”
I forgot that this was the old times. I slapped my forehead thinking I spout nonsense.
“I’m sorry about that, it seems I’m desperate to call the outsiders”
“I should go out”
“No, I told you not to go, we can’t guarantee your safety”
“I will go. It’s suspicious that he’s here. He might be an assassin that’s after your life, milady”
“Then, he should be calling me, not you”
Amelia just smiled at me. She grabbed my hands and hold it tightly.
“Don’t worry about me, milady. I may not look like it, but I studied martial arts before”
“No, the difference of the strength of the woman and man is not equal”
“Yes, milady. But trust me, I have an advantage. I tend to play wise if there’s a situation like this”
“Please come back, alive”
“Yes, trust me milady and you too, older sister”
And so, She have gone out. I saw the two of them talking and walked away.
A couple of minutes had passed. Scarlet was walking around impatiently. She bite her nails, that is the signed of stress.
“I should go for help”
“And where will you asked?”
“The captain. I can’t sit around here doing nothing, Amelia might be in danger”
“No, let’s wait here more. Let’s trust her”
I’m also worried. My hands tremble thinking it’s my fault for not stopping her. I know it’s my plan to have someone accompany me, who knows defenses. But, I didn’t expect this to be happening.
“I hope she’s safe”
“That’s it, milady. I will call for help”
“I'm not going to stop you"
"Why?"
"I will go too"
We go upstairs on the deck. We were looking for the Captain. When, someone told us that he’s not present at the moment. He was called by the nobles on board.
I’ve felt dismay to this. At all the times, why is it now? It’s only been a couple of hours since, we departed.
“Sister”
Scarlet and I turned around because that’s Amelia’s voice calling for us.
The moment I saw her, I was shocked. She was wearing a lace back black dress. Her evergreen hair was tied into an elegant side style ponytail. The sun shone her eyes that made her orange eyes looked like the autumn season. She was alluring that all the men’s stared at her.
“W…what are you..”
“I’m glad you’re safe, Amelia”
“I can explain this later, sisters”
“Oho? Who’s these two ladies, Amelia? Care to introduce me to them?”
A man whose wearing a black fedora hat and a suit approached Amelia and hug her sides. I saw how Amelia smiled awkwardly. Her body seems to be stiffened by his touched. What’s wrong? Does the two know each other?
“They are my sister. I told you, earlier about them”
“Ohh? Sorry for taking your sister away and without permission”
“Why did you do that?”
“Uhmm. It’s that's guy over there” He pointed where Grog Shmann at. “She brought this girl in the function hall and I as a gentleman, noticed that she's familiar, approached her"
“He’s my older brother at the orphanage. We were separated when someone adopted him”
“Well, that’s good”
“By the way, I am called Sebastian Nollia”
“I’m Alena and this is Scarlet”
We bowed to him since, we know who he is. He’s one of the bosses in the merchant guild. We don’t want to cause a trouble to such an important person.
We were shocked when he laughed. He look at me intently, I don’t know why but, that gaze doesn’t feel good. It feels like hatred.
“Would you care to joined me for a dinner?”
“Can’t we say no?”
“No, you should”
“Well, if it’s not a bother"
“We can’t”
I looked at Scarlet immediately turning downed his offer. This is the first time that I’ve seen her lose her composure. She seems to be panicking.
“Please give us back our sister. We aren’t her for your entertainment”
“My? My! Dear Scarlet, I was just humbly asking you out to eat dinner with us. After all, we have something to catch up, isn’t it?”
He hold Scarlet in his arms. There’s only a few inches apart from their faces. What’s going on? I looked at Amelia who now, confused. She shrugged her shoulder at me. Amelia clung to my arms as if, she’s afraid to that man.
“It’s rude to touched a lady like that”
“Oh? My bad, milady”
“I think you’ve already had enough time to talked with Amelia, so I think we should go now”
“Oh? No, no, milady”
“Don’t call me milady”
I was watching the two arguing. It feels like the two of them know each other. What’s their relationship?
“Is that the girl who tore us apart?”
“No”
“Think twice Scarlet, you know what I’m capable of”
Scarlet grabbed me and Amelia in our arms. She didn’t let go until, we were in our room.
“Who’s that?”
“He’s my older brother in the orphanage but, someone adopted him so we were separated at the age of ten”
“How about you, Scarlet? Do you have something to say to us?”
“He’s my ex-lover”
“What?”
