“ Here we've gathered here today to celebrate the reopening of our closed down Orphanage and also a get together for you set of children from 18 to 20 years of age, I possibly know that those who have crossed this age would hope to go back a deduction of one year to attend this get together, no one gets to be blamed though, nature taking its cause ”.
It looks like sister Benita has gotten funnier with age or we are mature to the point to receive jokes from her, she wasn't always this outspoken back then, always following orders given by Mother superior, but now, their status looks quite equal than before.
We all were seated while she was standing on the podium, Mother superior was sitting behind the podium facing us, foods to eat lined up at the right hand side of the podium, serve yourself what ever you feel like eating.
My eyes traveled to the divided part of the seat where the girls were seated, turns out her eyes were on me too, she smiled immediately our eyes made the contact until a palm blocks my view, I turned around to see whose palm it was, Jack.
Smile crept in into my face as he pushed me gently from the back, “ You know both of us looks quite alike, you can look at my face for the meantime until the occasion is over.....”. Both of us giggled at his joke, covering my face with my palm so that Mother superior won't see me causing distractions, not that she wasn't looking already. The smile that crept onto her face is one that I will never forget, she's always the one making the hard decisions back in our days here, she was always having that mean look on her face, I sometimes get into the situation of her sharing laughter with me too, Both of us connected more because I was the last to leave here, others were kids who are now kept in different Orphanages out there, but with everyone else gathered here I was the one whom they never thought would make it into a family out there, no one would come for an over grown baby, that's what they usually say around here then.
Mother superior believed that one day, I will become another man's son, I would get adopted and get to answer another man's last name, that did happen partially, with me running away from the Orphanage, getting the last name gotten from an Author who was my favorite and become adopted illegally, quite a story to tell about the last boy standing in the Orphanage.
“ With all the words being shared by your older sister, sister Benita, I think all has been shared and now, I say we enjoy ourselves until we're full, make this a memorable day to always remember and get closer to your old friends who were never in touch with you all this years.... Thank you all for coming despite the urgency of the message ”. Mother superior finished as she went down from the podium and went back to her sitting position beside sister Benita.
This brings back memories, we were used to standing in line, sister Benita taking our plates and serving us the food, but now, now we serve ourselves, now we can eat whatever and however we like and all that was made possible by the grace of God with the physical help of Mother superior.
I can see those stares she was giving to me, mother superior, it's time for the end of our deal, this get together was made possible because I planned it with her, yes, this is what nobody here knew about, not even Jackie, only me and Mother superior who agreed to keep it confidential as possible. 
I donated the funds for all this, I donated the funds to use reopen the Orphanage and I made this possible too because of two reasons, the first one was for apologizing because of what I did, the bad image I brought upon the Orphanage when the News came out that they were in search of one of their boys despite the bankruptcy issue they were going through, this is for making that apology and the donation of reopening this Orphanage came because I can't watch and wait while our beautiful home looks homeless like this wasn't where our history started, I want to keep those memories alive and with Mother Superior's devotion to this task, it has been made possible.
Secondly and also the reason Mother superior is staring at me right now, I told her of my love with Jackie and how I have made plans for her in my future, I let her know about the family I came to live with, what I saw from the mother of that home and what I have known about the outside world how the woman now behave, I told her how scared I was to make this lifelong bond. 
She told me something, something that changed everything, something that made this plans possible, she said that life is one of the things human has no power over, you can build your foundation with your tools, Life is like a war that is always there to be fought, it's a fight you know you must lose, yet the success of it is being counted by how long you fought and the impact you made, women are meant to be there in a man's life, you have a choice on the woman you wants to pick, just like you have a choice when you go to buy a new car. Marry the woman you want, not that she would possibly be any different from what you've seen so far, but because you ought to have that one person that is supposed to stab you on the back and yet you wouldn't strike back because you love and understands him or her too much.
