It has been going quite well though, I know I don't have a long period of time in this school because my beginning was from the end, guess I will have to make it worthwhile before whatever is to come in the future. I know that I love music and enrolled into the music class, but I can't picture myself performing in a musical occasion with the school, it looks way too feminine from the outside, not that music is for the ladies only, no, but for me, it makes me feel a bit girly, the school music club are mostly filled with the ladies too and their music type is the kind we usually participate in back in the Orphanage, more like a choir group.
I can practice with them because I enjoy them, but can't perform with them. The last time I performed in the musical competition was when I was thirteen, since then until now, I just practice with the group and hide away when competitions come, that won't be any different from this school too, will take my time to enjoy the practice and stay out of their way when competitions come calling.
“ Hey Jones..... Good to see you again ”, Jack said, a grin on his face as his eyes were on me, if Jack was here, then Jackie will definitely be here too, I turned around, checking the seating positions until my eyes met hers and she hid away from me immediately, quite confusing how shy she's always is whenever she sees me, we grew up together but she always finds it hard to look me in the eyes.
I sat by Jack's side, we could use this time to catch up on the past before the class resume. “ I have been seeing you around your friends, have always wanted to come meet you guys but I am scared to....”, Jack said, eyes looking down to his foot, I can't see any reason why he should be scared, they're normal people like him too, normal people like us, they're my close friends and he is same to me too.
“ You don't have to be scared of anything Jack, you should come hang out with us one day, they're fun to be with....”, I said, my hand patting his shoulder and wearing a smile on my face, he just waved his head negatively, “ I guess you don't understand what I meant, I'm trying to say that they're high quality group of people, they out class me and they're also huge influencers in the school, everyone wants to be like them ”.
I don't think I understand where Jack is heading with this, I can't say David's friends were bullies because they're not, we're just normal people like everyone else, I don't actually know what makes them stand out from the others, If I am to guess, then I can say maybe they're probably good at something others find hard to get good at.
“ That case aside Jones, I saw the school hottest girl kiss you right outside the class, what're you really made of bro?.....”, he asked, now smiling, not even seeing this as something Mother superior won't accept if we were still back at the Orphanage. I didn't give him an answer to that, not because I don't want to, but because I don't know.
“ Lemme guess, maybe it's because you're hitting the gym, that has to be it Jones.... You're hanging out with the school top kids, you're being admired by the school's hottest......”, shhhh..... I signalled him to shut up, my finger placed in front of my lips, he actually did get his lips sealed immediately I did that, but was now looking at me, thinking I have something to say.
The door to the classroom opened, this was today's last class activities to some of the students, the others are already done with their today's lectures and are now waiting for the school bell to ring.
The teacher was about to begin when the door to the classroom opened again, now the people standing on the doorway was no other people than David and Co, they seem to be murmuring something before David stepped in, asking for the teachers permission, he went to the teacher and whispered something to him, I can see the teacher's eyes on me before he called my name, informing me that I am to go with them, I don't even understand what was going on.
“ Hey Miss Jones, wanna give me an angelic voice?, Why don't you sing for us?.....”, they're making fun out of my enrollment into the school's musical team. Francis and the others can really be unnecessarily funny sometimes, I don't find it bad being in the school choir, from where I came from, being in the choir was cherished, not laughed at.
David's arm was around my shoulders as he began to whisper to me closely. “ I don't know about your love for music, but I definitely tell you, this is not the type you want to see yourself in....”, I don't understand him, there's no wrong being in the choir, I don't know why they find it bad, but for me, that was something I grew with and it brings me happiness when I am involved in it.
“ I guess you guys have no reason for dragging me out, I guess I will have to be heading back to class now before they get past me....”, I said as I turned back to leave, a hand grabbed mine and turned me around, it was Drew, he still had a smile on his face before he spoke out.
“ We have a reason for bringing you out, there's something we want to show you, something you will like, I didn't say might, I said will, you definitely won't be disappointed....”.
There faces now looks quite serious, they're not making jokes this time, they really have something they wish to show me, I don't know what it might be, but I have two things in mind, it's either a bad thing or a good one, I have to do is to follow them and see for myself.
