Standing in front of me was a blood thirsty vampire, eyes bright red and fangs showing quite clear in the darkness. He seemed quite happy and ready to feast, as he continue walking towards me step by step.
I sat on the floor, dragging myself back with my hands as much as I can, I wanted to scream for help from Jessica and Mary, but any mistake could cause them their lives too, don't want to blow up their presence to the group of vampires down the valley.
I tried as much as I can to see whether I can possibly grab anything nearby, a weapon of any kind, but all I could grab in my palms were soil, soft soils that felt like it hasn't rained here for sometime.
     “ The fear in your eyes seem quite fun to watch, despite that I have happened to see this eyes on many occasions, you know...... Breakfast, lunch, dinner, wow...... But yours feels quite exceptional ”.
He smiled between his words. I tried to get on my feets, but he didn't give me the chance, kicking me on the chest as I fell back down on the floor, his kick quite strong that it got my chest hurting. As he was about to sink his fangs into the side of my neck, I saw him flew up unexpectedly, his full body landing on the nearby tree before falling down to the floor, wincing in pain as he looked up to see who attacked him, in front of me was Mary, who posed on a fighting stance. What is she trying to do?, She's trying to fight a male vampire, there's definitely no difference between watching human get into a fight where it was a man and a woman, the woman would definitely get the beating of her life. 
I tried getting up back on my feet, but it wasn't an easy try, my chest hitting too hard because of his kick.
     I can hear the sound in the woods coming towards us, it was them, it was definitely the vampires coming to attack, I am really in grave danger, I can't outrun them with their speed, but that doesn't mean I would just stand there and wait to welcome them with open arms. I turned around and took off, Mary seem to be beating the hell out of the male vampire. She seems to have gone through combat training, and with her ability, she's dominating the male vampire who is kind of looking weaker as he tries to continue fighting back.
     I continued with the run, hearing the sound of the woods chasing so fast behind me, they're closing up on me, and I am no match for them, they'll definitely end me when they meet up with me. A stem on the floor grabbing my feet by mistake, I fell down on the floor, losing balance, the noise of my chasers continue rising as they are closing up, but what I saw coming towards me was a familiar figure, Mary.
     “ Take off your clothes quick...... Don't ask questions, just obey ”.
I did as she asked, removing my upper wear and handing it over to her. She took it from me, carried an arm size rock from the floor and wrapped it up with my cloth.
“ Head back down there, you will see our hideout, hide and try as much as you can to be safe before I return, I will make sure to get back to you ”.
She said and tried to take off towards the opposite direction, but I held her back on her arms, grabbing her attention again, but the look on her face shows that she was running out of time.
“ So you are just going to sacrifice yourself, because of me...... Are you crazy?”.
I asked her, confusion on my mind, can't think clearly what she's trying to do. She smiled at me, coming closer to me, her arms went round my neck before she placed a brief kiss on my lips.
“ I love you Joseph...... My sacrifice is a sign of that, so promise me it won't be a waste?”.
She stood there, looking at me, not trying to take off like she wanted to, hands still around my neck as her eyes wouldn't leave mine. The vampires are getting closer and she's not even trying to move, as if the attackers didn't matter to her. I know that I have to answer her that question, if not, she's definitely sticking with me right on that spot without any further movement, I looked at the direction the sound is coming from, sounds like it was all the vampires coming at once, I guess I have to make this promise if I wanted to make her sacrifice valuable, and will have to make sure to stay safe as much as I can just to fulfill my promise.
“ I promise.....”.
