Running towards the opposite direction, I know that I wasn't fast enough for the vampires, they will definitely end up catching me as I run uphill, but seeing what Mary was planning on doing, I realized that it was kind of a great idea though, considering she's a vampire too and can run just like they do, I decided to think up one too, since I was now alone and on my own.
It's a failed mission, all it took was falling off from my hiding spot because of that bloody vampire that wanted to suck me dry, at least he probably understands now that playing with food can obviously make you to lose it, it wasn't my fault that he caught up with me, he could possibly smell a human's presence, they have this strong sense of smell that you should definitely stay far off from the reach of their nose.
     The question on my mind when I was running uphill was, what if her plans doesn't work as expected?, They'll definitely caught up on me and that would end up as the worst idea, better for me to put on some effort in keeping my promise too.
My body was already sweating and I know that what I was about to do will end up giving me an uncomfortable condition, but I have no other choice than to follow with the plan on my mind, that seems like the only thing that might actually work, if it doesn't go my way, at least I put in some effort in keeping my promise. I threw myself to the floor with my sweaty body, the soil sticking to my sweating skin, it already began being uncomfortable, but that's the only thing on my mind right now. I climbed up the tree by my side and relaxed up there, breathing heavily and exhausted. My scent would be covered with that of the soil and the tree I was hiding in too, I will probably ditch them if it works the way I wanted it to.
     Still hiding on the tree, I saw three vampires run towards below me, stopping under the tree and tried to smell harder, but they didn't seem to grab my scent as they run off and continued on their path, that was when I then relaxed, breathing normal like I supposed to, with my hand placed on my chest, that's an escape.
     The brightness of the morning sun was quite bright, even though I was on the tree which has some shade of leaves guarding the ray of the sun, some still managed to escape and sip in, shining on my eyes, making me to wake up from my sleep, didn't know how I slept off, probably because I was exhausted, at least I put myself on a comfortable position where I wouldn't fall off from the tree. Oh shit, I got myself down and began heading back immediately, what if Mary has come for me but didn't see me, I am kind of stupid to have overslept, have to make my way back to the cave before any predator comes after me like always.
     I came into the cave, Mary's back were on me and ahead of her was Jessica in tears, Miriam was tied up and was on the floor. Mary turned around, probably noticing the change of smell pass through her nose, her eyes brighten up, getting wet as if she was also about to cry, I asked what's with Jessica, probably knew it might be because of me they're crying, they already got hold of Miriam and they look in one piece, they're definitely sad thinking that I never made it. Jessica ran to me, not minding my skin covered in dirts, she jumped on me and hugged me tight, I used my hands to keep her in place by carrying her, giving her balance on my body, she began showering me with kisses, her tears mixing with our kiss and soaking our lips.
Mary was standing behind her, I am too invested in the kiss and can't see the look on her face, not knowing whether she's taking it likely or not, doesn't concern me actually, just that I don't want whatever is happening between them to affect our mission, because my mom is the only one in my mind right now, and I am hoping to see her.
     I relaxed myself, trying to clean off the sticked dirts on my body, Jessica was seating on a rock near Miriam, staring into her eyes and seem to be waiting for us to finish so that we can join up with the interrogation.
When Mary was done cleaning my back, she gave me a patt on my right shoulder, signalling she was done, I stood up from my ground and went up to Miriam, so it begins.
