“ what are you doing here?”.
I turned around to see Mary standing behind me, I decided to come look for them, came to pass the information I got from Miriam to them.
“ I perceived your scent, so I came running, what are you doing in here?”.
This time the question came from Jessica, quite surprised how both of them decided to leave their positions only because they perceived my scent and immediately came running to know whether I am safe or not, the more I stay around them, they more I feel comfortable trusting them.
“ Miriam was here......”.
I didn't even finished my speech and Jessica interrupted immediately like she was surprised or shocked from the few words that just escaped my lips.
“ Miriam is in this town?”.
Her facial expression showed shock in them, she was taken aback by the brief information, but she has to listen to all I have to say, she's looking quite uncomfortable with the few she just heard.
     “ Listen to me Jessica..... She wasn't actually here for Daniel, she just told me what the mysterious leader of theirs were after, they're not here to come live in this town like the rest of you, instead he's here to extort the power of the town ”.
Both of them have this confused look on their faces like they don't understand what I am talking about right now. I took a deep breath, relaxed my head and then gently start explaining again in the way they would understand what I am trying to say.
“ She said the creator is coming after the tree in the school.......”.
This time, Mary was the one to interrupt me, taking the words away from my mouth as if she has happened to finally understand what I was trying to talk about.
“ Oh God, we have to start going like right now, any more minutes we waste, the town dies, now is not the time for talking, we have to be fast about it ”.
Jessica still looked confused, but decided to follow suit with Mary's idea. Mary seems to know more concerning the town than Jessica here, Jessica was always acting less concerned and wasn't actually interested in whatever is going on between the covens, while Mary, being the barrier and witness for the allegiance between the humans and the vampires, she has a ton of knowledge less known by Jessica, Mary was more of librarian knowledge while Jessica was philosophical knowledge concerning more about life.
     Reaching the school, what was before us was wonder, the creator was already on his job, extorting the powers of the tree, much more like a lightning strike transferring from the tree to the creator himself, I don't know how long the tree has left to last because it seems like the creator has been on his quest for some minutes now.
The creatures and vampires were there, they were fighting with everyone there, both Daniel and Micheal were here too, wonder why other areas were not been attacked, we gave out the wrong information earlier, if it wasn't for Miriam, we won't know what was going here, no one was able to leave to go signal the others at the woods, Caro and others are surely needed in a battle like this, but all of them are busy waiting for an attack inside the woods.
“ I don't think we have any other options left, we go fight against this man, we might be of no match, but at least we would buy time for the others to realize what is happening in this area”.
This is something that amazes me where Jessica was, she knew that we can never match the strength of the creator, yet she's willing to use herself to see whether she can buy more time for the others.
     The two of them attacked the creator at once, on seeing them, he struck a lightening at Jessica, throwing her off balance, Mary happened to avoid his strikes and went closer to him, Mary was good at combat training, definitely learnt it from Mr James I guess, the fight was 100% going one sided because Mary was receiving the beating of her life from the creator, she was of no match to him, just a distraction to his quest.
I think now is the time to use the information given to me by Miriam, she already told me that there's no other way, I told her that their might be, but she never agreed, now I know why, Jessica is my only option right now and I hope she agrees to it, I have to make her do this or the town will be doomed.
