Chapter 30: Break a leg

As I went about organizing the fan gathering, I spotted Alex and Athena in line, waiting patiently along with the other fans. It was a pleasant surprise to see familiar faces amidst the crowd, and it brought a smile to my face.
"Hey, Zaniyah!" Alex waved as he caught my eye, his excitement evident in his voice. He was holding a poster, undoubtedly hoping to get Jackson's autograph.
"Hi there!" I replied, my voice carrying a mix of enthusiasm and warmth. It was always a pleasure to see friendly faces, especially in an environment like this.
Athena, standing beside Alex, offered a friendly nod and a smile. She seemed a bit more reserved but equally excited to be part of the event. I remembered our previous conversations and couldn't help but wonder what they thought about all the recent developments in my life.
As the line inched forward, I managed to take a moment to step over to where Alex and Athena were standing. The energy in the room was contagious, and it was clear that everyone was eager to meet Jackson.
"So, are you guys excited for today?" I asked with genuine curiosity, glancing at their posters and the smiles on their faces.
"Absolutely!" Alex replied with a grin. "I mean, getting a chance to meet Jackson up close is a dream come true, and thanks to you, we're here!"
I chuckled. "Well, I'm glad I could help make that happen, and I'm sure Jackson will be thrilled to meet you both."
Athena nodded, her expression a mix of excitement and a touch of shyness. "Yeah, it's quite an experience. Thanks for giving us this opportunity, Zaniyah."
"It's my pleasure," I assured them. "I'm really looking forward to seeing you enjoy the event."
As we chatted, the line continued to move forward. The atmosphere was buzzing with anticipation, and it was clear that everyone was counting down the moments until they could meet Jackson.
Finally, it was Alex and Athena's turn. They stepped forward, their excitement palpable. I watched as they approached Jackson, who greeted them with a warm smile and engaged in a brief conversation.
After a few minutes, they moved on, and I could see the delight on their faces as they clutched their autographed posters. It was heartwarming to witness the joy that this experience brought to fans like them.
As the event progressed, I continued to oversee the proceedings, making sure everything ran smoothly. I checked in with fans, answered questions, and ensured that everyone was having a great time.
Towards the end of the event, I found a brief moment to catch up with Alex and Athena. They were still visibly excited, chatting animatedly about their encounter with Jackson.
"So, how was it?" I asked with a grin, genuinely curious about their experience.
Athena's eyes were shining as she replied, "It was amazing, Zaniyah! Jackson was so friendly and down-to-earth. We talked about his music and even shared a few laughs. It's a memory we'll cherish forever."
Alex chimed in, his enthusiasm contagious. "Yeah, and thanks to you, we got to be here and meet him. You're the best, Zaniyah!"
I blushed slightly at their kind words. "I'm really glad you both had a great time. It's been quite a journey for all of us, hasn't it?"
Athena nodded. "Definitely. Who would've thought that chance encounters and unexpected opportunities would lead to all of this?"
As the event concluded, I couldn't help but reflect on the incredible journey I had been on. From a chance encounter at the art gallery to becoming an integral part of Jackson's world, it had been a rollercoaster of emotions and experiences.
As I bid farewell to Alex and Athena, their smiles etched in my memory, I knew that this chapter was just the beginning. There would be more challenges, more surprises, and undoubtedly more memories waiting to be made. And I was ready to embrace it all, grateful for the moments that had brought me here and excited for the ones that lay ahead.
“Sorry,” I said softly as I entered, catching his attention.
“O-oh, oo,” I replied, my voice a bit nervous. “Die-hard fan ka nga nila. Sila pa nga ang nag-encourage sa akin na suportahan ka. Dahil sa kanila, naging interesado ako sa’yo, tapos naging fan mo rin ako.” Napahinto ako at napagtanto ang bigat ng aking sinabi. Bakit ko nga ba nasabi iyon? Napa-palm-to-face ako mentally sa naging pagpapahayag ko.
Jackson looked genuinely surprised, and I couldn't help but worry that my words might come across as unprofessional. I quickly tried to clarify. “I-I mean, I'm a fan of your music too, of course! Your talent and dedication are truly inspiring.” I managed to add a more composed smile.
