Chapter Fifty five - Combat
The people look on amazed and thinking,
‘Did the king just call prince and Princess his parents? What the hell is going on here?’
They weren’t alone but then Nadia and Logan understood what was going on in a second thought. They look at him and he nods his head towards them, he turns to the leader of the werecrocodiles and he says to them,
“If you are looking for me, you won’t find me here. Even if you take my parents captive, you won’t be able to get me because, I have been held captive somewhere. And you can’t get me through this body even if you kill him after all, I am just but a spirit. My owner is somewhere and that’s where I will escape to. So, do you need my advice?”
“I think we know each other very well, my prince. Could you stop speaking as if you are speaking to a stranger? Where ever that you are, I will find you after killing the people that brought you to this world.” The leader looks at him lazily and replies looking at his sword.
“You should have done that before they could even meet each other. You have always been incompetent, why else would you use tricky acts to take me out of my body before. But then mind you, several days for the thief, one day for the master.” The king speaks with a sneer playing on his lips.
“Enough talk now, if you can kill my subordinates, I will stop today and search for you. You wanted to show me where you were right? I will listen to you then. How about a combat between one of mine and one of yours? If you loose, I won’t hesitate to take the lives of these people. But if I loose, I will leave them alone and you will tell me where you are.” The werecrocodile agrees swinging his sword in the air playfully.
“Agreed but I will choose who, and I choose your right hand man. You can choose any of the people in the back.” The king speaks and vanishes in the thing air.
In two minutes, a werecrocodile faces a wolf in combat, with their bare arms. They entangle each other and try as much to get the other to the floor or possibly kill the other. It goes on for a few more minutes until suddenly, the people hear a crack sound in the air. They were very much paying attention to the combat but when the sound came out, they became confused as to who it belongs to.
Because of the way the two were standing face to face and holding each other’s neck. They both were staring opened eyed and staring deeply at each other. Suddenly, they saw both of them falling to the ground and each other realized that it was a draw and that wasn’t part of the plan.
Nadia moves forward and says to the leader of the crocodiles and says to him
“Now that it’s a draw, do you then suggest another combat? We can do this over and over again. I am ready to fight anyone you choose.”
Logan holds her hand but she shakes her head to him but this time, she doesn’t mind link him. Logan looks on confused but then, no one had paid attention to the stance of the leader of the crocodiles. He was still staring at his killed knight and everything that Nadia said seems to have fallen behind his ears. Nadia clears her throat and speaks once again,
“But if you decide that this is over, you can walk back to where you came from. As for where my son is, he will take you there.”
The leader sneers and looks closely at Nadia and he says to her,
“Your fake mom, already passed away and in my hands, she did. As for the man who took you in as a daughter, he is suffering an unending pain in my dungeon. But don’t worry, I know you will come to save him and he won’t die until you come.”
Suddenly, the air around Nadia becomes dense and a hot air blows around the area, her hair lifts and her eyes turn into blue color. She takes a step forward and Logan hurries to stand before her and he mind links her,
“This isn’t over, for now, let them go and allow the rest of the pack to be well prepared. I promise you, we will save both our son and father in law.”
The leader takes a step forward and Logan quickly pushes Nadia behind him, Absalom joins him in the front and finally they see the alpha of the werewolves walking from the side dressed in his war attire, his finger nails elongated along with his teeth. His eyes in a yellow color but no sword in his hands. He gazes at the leader like a hunter that has spotted his prey in the bush, when he reaches his sons, he looks in the way of the leader and he sneers.
The leader takes a step back and signals his warriors with a wave of his hand and they start pulling back. As soon as they turn their backs to the werewolves, they vanish in the thin air. The king withdraws his finger nails and teeth and he looks in Logan’s way and then he says to him,
“What the hell are those things? I thought we got rid of them long ago? How come they have multiplied to this number?”
Logan’s eyes open and he inquires,
“You have a relation with the werecrocodiles?”
