Chapter Sixty
 More Dangerous The lady takes a step back and her back slaps the wall behind her, Enoch removes her long straighten hair from her neck and he sees a mark on it. He smirks and lifts her head in his finger tips and he says to her, “It seem like you haven’t been able to clean my mark from your body. Or, is it that, you couldn’t because of your love for me?
Maria, I trusted you with all my heart and you betrayed me to the point blinding me to believe that my existence was just a day of trying to exit a jungle? How could you do this to me?” The lady holds his hand and he pulls away and clean where she touched with his ragged shirt. After that, he tears it from his body, Maria sees his reaction and a tear falls from her eye. She shakes her head and says to him in a throaty voice, “I am so sorry, I had to do this to save your life. It was this or your life, I chose this because, I knew that one day, we would meet again after the truth has been revealed to your people. But I promise you, I never approached you with the thoughts of detaining you in this place.”
Enoch looks away and grits his teeth saying, “You disgust me, even at this point, you are willing to lie to me. I will never forgive you for what you have done to me.”  
They had forgotten about the official and Leo’s fight until they hear a grunt and total silence. They look in the way of their fight and they only see Leo standing beside the door. He turns in their way and shifts back to a human body but then, fully clothed as he was before. The lady shakes her head and mutters to herself, “I can’t believe that, you can do this, even the alpha and king of the werewolves had mastered this act and you a kid can do this?”
Leo sneers and replies to her, “You should continue with your emotional talk for the mean time, I will let you off. Uncle, she is actually speaking the truth, you can at least hear her out before killing her. As for me, I am going after the man before he gets to more of his people. I still haven’t sensed our people yet, so, hurry and join me.”
Enoch shakes his head and replies to him. “Even if she is telling the truth, we should finish up here before I might find time for her to explain herself.” Leo nods his head and they make their way out if the room. They walk out to some distance yet, they meet no one on their way out. Leo and Enoch look in each other’s way and mind link each other, “This shouldn’t be the way things should go right? I just hurt the official in his leg and he should be coming at us with his army. So, what is the meaning of this?”
“Yes, I agree.” Suddenly, they hear a voice behind them saying, They seem to have a visitor and he is neither one of us. I have heard their names before, half human and half crocodile… “Werecrocodiles? I couldn’t smell them because my genie isn’t with me. An enemy of your enemy is your friend. That could only mean that, they are plotting together and for now, we are not their major concern. But, why are they here in the first place?”
In the huge room, two men are seated on a chair facing each other, one has half of his part of being a crocodile tail and his other part human. His gaze is on the dangling left leg of the werewolf in front of him and he asks, “Aren’t you a werewolf yourself? I can’t believe that you are this weak. What am I even saying? You couldn’t cause the war several years back and allowed your brother to win over you and get the throne. Now you are using cunning means to get to it.”
“You better shut up. Whatever I did before was what you instructed me to do. Who would have thought that, it wasn’t our kingdom that you were interested in but the sea? You lied to me.” Paul speaks with bitterness in his voice.
“Just accept the fact that you are weak, your brother came to the sea and you had the chance to kill that bastard of a prince and cousin to take the throne. But you couldn’t, even now, you got hurt by a little boy.” The crocodile king says with a smile on his face with a open intention of teasing Paul.
“A small boy you mean? Well, he should be getting out of here with the prince, I don’t think my guards can do much to stop him. I am now assembling my warriors. So, for now you are on your own, I will stay in here and wait for them.” Paul says looking irritated with his eyes opened wide and his fist clenched by his side.
“I beg to differ but you can’t wait in here with your limping leg, your brother should be coming here with his people. It’s either you run or heal faster. I will leave you, I should go and get the kid.” The crocodile king says to him with a smirk playing on his lips.
Beta Paul closes his eyes and tries to connect to his wolf in order to heal faster but he starts groaning instead. The crocodile king shakes his head pitifully and moves towards the door. Paul opens his eyes and says after him, “You should be extra careful. I’m telling you because of our past association. That boy is more dangerous than you can imagine.”
His warnings fall on death ears and he vanishes through the air. Paul shakes his head pitifully and goes back to heal himself. The crocodile king appears in front of his warriors and he says to them, “We are here for one thing, and it’s the One. But whoever that tries to interrupt our mission, don’t think twice to take his life.”
