I can't say hiding under the sheets while Alicia has a one on one with her fiance was a thrill. I was expecting her to pounce on me anytime soon, infact even now. Damon was still at the door and I couldn't tell what was going on neither could I hear anything under this heavy duvet. After a while I heard Damon's door close shut, I quickly removed the duvet to see if she had actually left. Thankfully she left and so did Damon. There was no need wasting any more time in his room, I packed everything that belong to me and went back to my room to change. While I had my bath I was unaware of the chaotic situation that was going on outside, it was until I was done and asked a maid beside me before I was filled in on the entire details. My mouth was wide open at the news, turns out the protesters against Damon's release found out he was no longer in police custody and had already been released. They have moved their location down here to pressurize him to further admit to his crime. Damon just passed an order that all workers should leave before noon to avoid them getting involved in his mess, he also said every doctor meeting, family visitation, shopping, work or anything that would require us to go out shall be put on hold. It was like we were going on a total lockdown only that I won't be a part of it. Damon considered me and had already made preparations for me to leave as well, he doesn't want me to be a part of it though I volunteered to stay back, he was mostly worried about the baby inside of me that would pop out of me in two months time. I packed my bags and was very much ready to leave but stylishly waited for Damon to come say goodbye to me privately, there was no hope for that happening when he was still busy speaking to his lawyers. The only people who hugged me we're Beatriz, Elizabeth parent, Jeanette and slightly Alicia--- we barely even touched each other. Xander was the one who drove me. To cover up the silence between us I thought of bringing up the conversation never spoken of before but was a bit scared to see his reaction especially since we've barely spoke to each other for close to a month, there was always the early morning greetings at breakfast but that was always it. I didn't even know that I was even staring at me while I figure out a way to bring up the conversation, Xander's voice it out that if I wanted to say something that I should speak up rather than staring. There was absolutely no way I could speak up now. "Damon didn't do it" he said without any premise, which made me wonder what he was referring to. I gave it a long thought before realization came clear. "Oh.. no no no, I know he didn't, he already told me and I believe him" I said. Xander gave me this look of "when did you two get close enough to believe every word of his" but he didn't say anything about it. "If that's the case then tell me what's bothering you, you were looking at me earlier like you had something important to say to me" Xander looked at me after the car stopped due to the red light signal. "Well.... I know this is unrelated to what is going on and it is probably not the best question at this very moment but I never actually got to ask you what you do for a living, I mean almost every body know you here..." Xander cut me short and saved me the trouble of beating around the bush. "I am an interior designer, not something my family members appreciate but it is something I love doing and I currently handle one of Damon's inherited firms only that now it's a bit shaky now that Damon reputation is being dragged in the mud" Xander said while focused on his driving. "When you say inherited, does it mean you didn't inherit anything?" With the way I was giving out my questions may come off as a bit nosy, maybe it would be best I just keep shut rather than always trying to know all the time. Xander laughed a bit but I didn't find what was so amusing. "Well I guess it is high time you know the exact truth then, Damon and I might be brothers but we are related through our mother both our fathers are different" My jaw dropped at this sudden revelation, poor Xander this must've been rough on him. "Beatriz my mom was in love with my father, they dated but they couldn't get married because my mother's father was never in support of them and even went far as to make preparations for her to be married to Damon's father immediately he found out she was pregnant, I was raised with a lot of lies, I only found out a year ago when Grandpa died and willed all of his assets to Damon." When he was done talking I had already cried buckets, his story was so emotional which brought me to remember that muscular built man Beatriz was laying her head on, there is still a possibility Beatriz is still in love with Xander's biological father. What really hurt me the most was the thought of Xander sleeping thinking he was part of a family that never wanted him only to wake up to a bitter truth. It was my mistake to have brought it up. "Are you crying? Wow... I didn't think my story was that touching, I will be taking the longer route I heard there is a road construction at the other side" I sniffed while wiping my tears. I need to really help myself from crying all the time when I hear a sad story. When we arrived at my mother's house, Xander helped me unload everything from the car. When he was done I waited at the car to thank him, but things got a little heated. He started off by saying how much he had put the feelings I had in consideration and was even well aware of the budding relationship I now have with Damon. Amidst all of this he said he couldn't hold back how he felt for me anymore without wasting any much time Xander curled his hands on my waist before moving in slowly to kiss me, when his lips touched mine I didn't allow him to kiss instead I turned my face face and allowed it fall on my cheeks. He understood perfectly and cupped my face, "I hope we both work this out" he entered the car before switching on the engine, "I will call you" he said before zooming off. I sighed at the thought of being in the middle of two brothers, when Xander's car was completely out of sight I went into the house to get some rest since I was tired and mom was still busy watching her favorite cartoon and wasn't in the mood to speak to me.
