I knew it was impossible that Damon gave what was mine to another woman whose job is to crave for his attention and does all she can to get it. But it did make me feel uncomfortable as my eyes didn't leave her hand, I was focused on it so much that I had forgotten what was going on.
To be honest I felt betrayed, which is why I calmed myself with a believe that there was a coincidence she had the ring on her finger, she probably would've bought the ring at the same store Damon got his. I should be calm, don't think Priscilla, please don't.
Damon turned to Link to get Elizabeth's parents and that Liliana be given to her nanny to watch over for now.
"Why are you bringing my parent into our problem, this should be settled by the both of us and not them" Elizabeth begged as Damon was adamant on bringing them in despite her plead, "Stop Brett now, please.... Xander! Bloody do something cause your name is on it"
"What did you say? Whose name is on it? I thought I told you to burn the damn book!" Xander yelled at her in front of everyone which caused a stare from the maids and everyone present.
So this is the real Xander? A man who yells at a woman.... No surprise there, but too bad his female fans in this mansion will most definitely see him differently.
"The book has been missing and even I did find it, how could I when I suspected you wanted to have me killed!" Elizabeth yelled back, Xander's face turned red as he looked at his mom who looked away Immediately.
Wow! Like mother like son, no surprises there as well. I already know Xander and his mom were behind Elizabeth car accident, too bad they weren't successful.
"That diary was the only leverage I had on you if I did survive but then again when I came back you changed my perspective on things, which is why I believed someone else did" she took a quick glance at Alicia, Alicia smiled while shaking her head, if Elizabeth didn't hate Alicia this much she would believe Alicia had nothing to do with her accident.
Though Alicia too had a plan up her sleeve to get rid of her, only that hers was to come later and besides she wasn't in the country at that time.
Jeanette rushed in with a large bowl of popcorn in her hand along with a jug of orange juice held by one of the maids, "What did I miss?" She asked Alicia who by the way still had her legs crossed.
"Nothing much, just this two silly couple quarreling, take your seat and wait for the big bang" Alicia said smiling evilly.
What big bang was she referring to? Oh no....
One of the bodyguard whispered something into Damon's ear, "Let them in, and please make copies of this" he opened the book, how to make sense out of life and brought out the real torn out pages of Elizabeth diary and gave them to the bodyguard.
Unbelievable! Was this the same Damon I thought was a puppet and followed the command of his mother. A silent clap for him, to think Alicia's acting skills were great, Damon's acting was much more greater. I can't start to think what was going on in everybody's head right now, especially Elizabeth.
She couldn't even face her parent as they were brought in, two chairs were added to the table as they both sat to join us in this remarkable action sponsored by Damon. "Everybody please take your seat" Damon said, referring to Elizabeth, I and Xander, the others were pretty much doing their own thing, except for Beatriz who still had her face held down.
"Sir, they are ready" the bodyguard who was sent to make photocopies returned. Damon gave him the order that he should distribute them to everybody seated there.
As the photo copies where going round, Alicia lifted the bowl of popcorn to side while crossing over Beatriz bent head, "Do you care for some?" She asked, "just so you know, this was prepared by Jeanette so be assured that nothing was added into it"
"Thanks but am not interested" I replied with a cheeky smile.
"Well your loss my gain, you have no idea what is to come, better get yourself some snacks" she said while taking the bowl back with her.
Immediately everyone had gotten a copy, Damon gave the permission that we all start reading to ourselves. Elizabeth continuously beg Damon to stop this and I could see the remorse in her eyes as she pleaded, she was probably not afraid of others knowing what she had done but was worried about what her parents might think of her after this.
I actually thought Xander will positively advocate against this but he was more concerned about his mother than Elizabeth, poor Elizabeth. Xander was being selfish now that Elizabeth reputation was about to be destroyed and her secret revealed, he probably doesn't even need her now that Liliana shares has been cut off and half of Damon's property was now in my name.
Wait a minute, I see it now.... If Elizabeth and Xander planned to have a child through a surrogate, then automatically it becomes Damon's since he already gave his approval. Then having little Liliana wasn't Xander and Elizabeth plan to begin with but Xander and Beatriz's plan so that they can use Liliana to take away Damon's wealth.
Oh my God.... This simply means Elizabeth was just a pawn to Xander so he could achieve his long term goal, and after that he devised a plan with his mom to get rid of her.
Wow! I should take a profession in investigating.... If this turn out to be true then Xander is the Mastermind behind all this confusion but then again I could be wrong since I believe Beatriz wasn't aware that Elizabeth switched Damon's sperm for Xander's.
Ah... This is so confusing, I better wait for them to explain than analyse.
"Elizabeth I didn't know you have so much sexual fantasies..." Jeanette teased as she read through the front page of her copy of the diary. As she read further she suddenly covered her mouth as she gasped in shock, "You prefer sex with Damon over Xander.... Then why do you still choose Xander?" Jeanette asked and I saw Alicia give her theeye but she ignored as she ran on, "You see between love or sex, I'd go with sex... Love has an expiry date just like everything in this world but you see sex... It doesn't go old, it's ageless... Each style brings a whole different pleasure. Don't get me wrong, I too have slept with Xander and he..."
"Will you please stop... Can't you see you are hurting her? You don't have to give us a lecture about sex" Alicia said.
"This is what you wanted. Ever since childhood you have always loved me and today that I needed you to protect my honor this how you treat me, Damon..." Elizabeth spoke out after Jeanette ignorance.
"Elizabeth what did you say to me when we got married? You told me you will never forgive my brother. Between you and I who do you think should be upset? The woman I loved all those years turned out to be a heartless woman who chose to kill her own child before she was born just to see her face from embarrassment...."
Xander suddenly took interest at this disclosure as everyone looked for the page it was written. "Is this true Elizabeth, did you kill our own child?" Xander said solemnly, an approach I didn't expect him to go with, "Answer me!"
"Yes! Yes... I am so sorry" she allowed her hand to touch Xander's arm in an attempt to apologise to him, the way things are going I am starting to loathe Damon so much. Xander shoved her pleading hands away as Elizabeth begged to be understood, "I had no choice...." She said a couple of times but Xander wasn't ready to yield to her appeal.
"Coming back to life wasn't the best idea now, was it?" Jeanette said rhetorically as she turned to Alicia who was trying to hold in her laughter while chewing on her popcorn. Among everyone present for this disgrace, Alicia and her best friend were both enjoying the show so much that they refused to hide it.
"I agree... Even if she was alive at least she could've played dead or something, now you just came back and got your perfectly established image burnt with your lies" Alicia shook her head several times before taking her drink. "Jeanette, we need more popcorn.... Can you go make some? It's already finished" Alicia pouted.
Today might be bring about the downfall of both Elizabeth and Beatriz but I am damn sure Alicia's was close to the brim it's only about time before it topples over.
Back at Elizabeth, her parent couldn't even bear to listen or read it anymore as they both stormed out of there with Elizabeth following to beg them to forgive her.
What Damon was doing might not sit well with me but it didn't hinder the fact that he had his reasons. Elizabeth parent we're actually rude to him from the beginning when they thought Elizabeth had died, they pretty much slander his name by calling him a cheat and all sorts of things.
He was able to hold all those insult in him despite knowing the truth and yet refusing to bring down her name before her parents, maybe he probably understood that they were hurt and had wanted a scape goat to lash their anger on and then Damon was their piñata.
The day was going too fast with Damon making rash decisions, he didn't hold himself back from exposing every bit of Elizabeth secret especially the one that had to do with her faking a report stating he was sterile so as to hide the fact that she'd lost her womb only for her to find a surrogate afterwards to cover up.
So in a way, Damon and I were just victims in this whole mishap.
What was shocking about everything was the arrival of the police alongside Detective Alvarez, I saw as they moved quickly from afar.
"So this is the height you can go Damon.... Calling the cops on me" Elizabeth said, throwing her hands to her head. "I can't believe you would do this..."
"They are not here for you, Accountant Zheng...." Damon called to the middle aged man with a brief case in hand, "Start with the calculation" he threw the green document his way. "Mum..." He started off, taking her cold hands into his before saying, "I am sorry" he apologized.
The Detective was allowed to come in as Damon stood up to meet him. They both spoke with each other for a long time as accountant Zheng was ready to read out his calculation to everyone's hearing.
I actually thought the detective naturally hated Damon, so what changed?
After a long talk with the detective about something only them knew about, Damon returned to his seat a bit tired after their discussion. What they had discussed was probably heartbreaking as Damon avoided my gaze that followed his every movement.
"Accountant Zheng" he called and the mancame running to the table, taking over the seat Elizabeth parent vacated.
"Sir through my calculations I was able to discover that Mrs Prince has been sending off money to a ghost account, as you brought the ledger to me the last time I notice something was amiss about it so I did some findings, Mrs Prince has sent a total of one hundred and ten million four hundred thousand United states dollars to this account for the past twenty three years, from the breakdown I did Mrs Prince has been sending a hundred thousand dollars per week to this said account" Accountant Zheng said before closing his big book of calculation and shifting the green folder to Damon.
Still holding her hand, Damon stared into his mother's eyes. "You wondered why I didn't give you part of my property, this is the reason. Confess the person who you have been sending money to and I will let you off...."
"You will let her off? If you hear the name of the person are you sure you would let her off...." Xander interrupted.
"Mr Damon I don't think we have the time for this" Detective Alvarez said to Damon, Damon pleaded that he be given more time with his mother and that he will not stop them from doing their duties.
Having no choice but to turn to his mother for the last time to speak, Damon beckoned on her to give a name and yet again she refused. "Do your job" he said to detective Alvarez, letting him take the reins of Justice from his hand.
"Mrs Beatriz Jane Prince we have an arrest warrant for the murder of Rachel Rashford and for the murder of Mrs Castillo, You have the right to remain silent. If you do say anything, it can be used against you in a court of law. You also have the right to have a lawyer present during any questioning." Detective Alvarez read out to Beatriz as the he handcuffed her and led her to the cop car.
Xander was protesting at the behind as he followed her then later returned to get his keys. Stopping at the table in which Damon had refused to leave despite his mother being taken away by the police.
He was bent on not releasing any of his lawyers to help with his mother's case. "Damon aren't you going to do anything? She is still our mother for goodness sake! I knew you were heartless and would one day act out, just didn't know when" Xander bashed his fist on the table before leaving with Elizabeth car keys.
"Accountant Zheng, send me a written report of this and please make sure a higher authority look into it.... And to the others...." He turned to the lawyers, "Your hands are all removed from my mother's case, if anyone to defend her in court without my knowledge just know that you are fired" Damon said before standing up from his seat. Going closer to me he said, "Please let's talk in the evening"
Like I wanted to speak to him now.
"Now this is the climax..." Alicia laughed out aloud as she finished her drink.
I for one hated that Beatriz was the only one arrested for having my mother killed, Alicia should too but why wasn't she taken. I wanted to hold her by the neck and ask her that but I am currently restraining myself from doing so. She later left the table with me loosing my chance.
