XAVIA
Axel kept staring at me and I wondered why.
"Axel? Axel? Are you ok? Axel?" I flicked my fingers across his face and he blinked. "Are you ok? You seem lost in thought"
He nodded slightly. "I am fine"
"You look worried. Is something..."
"There is nothing. Don't worry about me"
"I..."
He smiled. "Come," he said holding my second hand. "I saw your text late"
"It's nothing. Your mom said she wants to see me when I get back. I thought I should let you know"
He smiled. "How is school today?"
"It was fine. A little stress though". He stared at me again and I blinked. "Are you sure you are ok?"
He nodded. "I am. I just missed you"
I chuckled. "You saw me this morning and we spoke on the phone some hours ago"
"I know but I just suddenly began to miss you. And I feel like hugging you too". He made me sit on his lap and he back hugged me. "Can we remain like this for a while"
I smiled. "Do you miss me that much?"
"I do. I miss you so much"
I smiled. "Then you can hug me as much as you want"
"Thanks" he muttered as he placed his head on my back.
I could tell there was something wrong with him but I could not say what it was.
"Xavia" he cooed.
"Yes?"
"Do you want us to get married"
I blinked. "Ge-get married?"
"Yes. Do you want to get married to me"
"I-I don't know what to say. I-I do not expect...". I sighed. "Axel, can we talk about this when we get home?"
He sighed. "You do not want to marry me?"
"I want to but...". I sighed. "Axel, I do not think you are in your normal state of mind right now. Did something happen? I mean did..."
He turned me to face him. "Xavia, how will you feel if you find out I have a mate"
I blinked. He doesn't have a mate, does he?
"Yo-you have a mate?"
"I do not know. I do not know why my wolf seems..."
I stood up from his leg and walked to the window. "You've met your mate, right?"
"I think I have. I..."
I turned to face him. "Is that the reason you want us to get married?"
He stood up from the chair and moved closer to me. "Xavia..."
I sighed. "I guess that is the reason. I do not want to marry you, Axel. I do not want to be the reason you will leave your mate"
He pulled me closer and hugged me. "Xavia. You are my..."
I moved away and smiled. "I am leaving," I said walking out of the office.
"Xavia?!"
I met Jason outside the office.
"Xavia, can you tell Axel to..."
"Please, tell him yourself," I said walking away.
I was heartbroken and furious at the same time. I picked up my bag and walked out of the company, heading home. I got to the room, dropped my bag, and lay down on the bed. I began to cry. Luckily, Alaila was not in, so there was no one to stop me.
Just when I thought everything was back to normal and I could love Axel with all my heart. I thought. Just when I thought that his mate would not be showing up and I would not have to worry about leaving him for his mate, then his mate showed up? Why? I threw the pillow across the room and I screamed. Why? Why does she have to show up now? When everyone thinks that we should get married.
I placed my hand over my face and sniffed.
Is this how Kate felt when she heard about me? Does she feel as heartbroken as I do?
It hurts. It hurts so bad that I can not breathe. 
I sat up and sniffed. What will happen to me now? Will I have to break up with Axel?
The door opened and Alaila walked in. "Xavia? Are you ok?"
I wiped my face quickly. "I am fine"
She moved closer to me. "I don't think you are. Look, you're crying. Tell me what is wrong. Did Axel hurt you?"
"A-Axel found his mate," I said and began to cry again. 
"He-he did?"
I nodded. "He told me. Alaila, am I going to lose Axel? I don't think I can live without him"
She sighed. "It's okay, Xavia. I will speak to Axel about it. You should stop crying"
"Alaila, I..."
There was a knock on the door and I looked up.
"Are you expecting anyone?" Alaila asked and I shook my head. 
"No"
She sighed. "I will get the door," she said and stood up. I tapped my foot on the floor slightly. "Xavia?" Alaila cooed. "It's Axel, should I let him in?"
"No"
"You do not..."
"Alaila, I said no!!!" I yelled and there was lightning.
Alaila stared at me in shock and I blinked too.
It was only a coincidence. I tell myself.
I had never gotten this angry before and had never experienced lightning when I got angry. I wasn't the type to get angry easily too.
Alaila closed the door and moved closer to me. She sat down beside me and hugged me.
"You must be very angry right now". I nodded slightly. "I am here with you"
"Thank you" I muttered.

Axel tried his best to speak to me but I kept ignoring him. I was not ready to face the fact that he now has a mate and that he might have to break up with me sooner or later. Jason also tried to speak to me but I told him I wasn't ready to speak to him either.
"I think you should speak to him," Alaila told me. "You can't keep ignoring him"
I scoffed. "Why should I speak to him? He should go and meet his mate" I answered.
"I know you are angry right now but you can't remain angry for life. Can you at least hear him out"
"I am not going to hear him out. He doesn't have anything to say to me"
"Xavia, you can't say that when you have not spoken to him yet"
"I know he doesn't have anything to say to me. He has a mate now. He should..."
"Are you jealous?" Alaila asked.
"I am not. Why should I be?"
"I think you are, Xavia. You..."
"I am not"
She sighed. "If you are not, then speak to him. At least hear him out"
I scoffed. "I will not do that and don't try to stop me"
"Xavia, I think..."
"Alaila! Don't say a word"
"Come on, Xavia. I..."
"Alaila!" I yelled and there was lightning again. I sighed. "Alaila, do not say a word again"
I left the room and headed to nowhere in particular. I could feel my heart beating so fast and my body shivered because of the wave of rage that swept across my body.
Why am I angry? I wondered. Why do I feel so angry right now? Why do I feel anger not just towards Axel but everyone?
I noticed Axel from afar and I quickly changed my way. He must have seen me because he ran after me and soon caught up with me.
"Xavia?" he cooed. Without staring at him, I walked past him. "Xavia" he called again.
He held my hand and I groaned.
"Get your hand off me" I yelled slightly. "I do not have anything to say to you"
"Xavia, can you hear me out? You misunderstood the situation"
I scoffed. "Are you telling me that I do not have a good sense of reasoning?"
"No-no. I did not say that. I am just saying that..."
I ignored him and continued walking. He ran after me. "Xavia, please..."
I sighed. "Please go, I do not want your mate seeing us together"
"Xavia, you..."
"I don't want to hear anything from you. I am leaving and don't you dare try to come with me" I said walking away. 
"You are my mate, Xavia," he said and I stopped moving.
What did he just say?
I decided to ignore what he said and continue walking.
"I know you do not believe me but I am serious. You are my mate, Xavia. I..."
I walked back and held his hand. "Come with me"

I was reading a book when Alaila rushed in.
"Xavia" she cooed and I furrowed my brows.
"What's going on?"
"Some people are here to see you"
"Me?"
She nodded. "Yes"
"Do you know them?"
"No. I haven't seen anyone of them around"
I furrowed my brows. If Alaila does not know them, who could they be? I do not know many people outside the Pack and I am not expecting anyone.
"Did they say who they are?"
"They said they are from the Spirit clan"
I furrowed my brows. "Spirit clan? Does such clan exist?"
"I thought they do not but Jason said they do"
I blinked. I do not know anyone from the Spirit clan. Why are they looking for me? 
"Where are they?"
"They are speaking to Axel. I think you should go and meet them"
I left the room and joined Axel in the meeting hall. There were two women and a man with him. They stood up when they saw me.
"She is just like her mother," one of the women said and I furrowed my brows.
"Come and sit down" Axel gestured.
"Who are they?" I whispered to him.
"They are from the Spirit clan and they are here to see you"
"Me? I do not know them"
"You might not know us but we know you. You were very little when your mother took you away from the clan" one of the women said.
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"You belong to the Spirit clan and your name is Amaya"
I scoffed. "My name is not Amaya. I do not know you and I do not want to have anything to do with you"
"Your mom changed your name to Xavia after she left the Spirit clan with you. You are the daughter of our Spirit King, which makes you the Spirit Princess. You possess the power to control the weather and..."
I laughed. "You are joking right?". She shook her head and I stopped smiling. "You are not?"
She nodded. "Xavia or should I call you Amaya..."
"Don't you dare call me Amaya because that name does not belong to me" I yelled and there was lightning again.
I blinked and she smiled. "Did I not tell you that your mood has control over the weather?"
"It's only a coincidence" I muttered.
"It's not" she answered.
