"You know about it. How? How did you find out? I mean..."
She smiled. "I heard everything they said to you and how you replied to them. I wasn't eavesdropping. I was just opportune to be close by". I sighed. "Xavia" she cooed. "I am not asking you to go to the Spirit clan so that you can forgive him. You might need time to do that. I am asking you to go so that you can have a good reason to be angry with him"
I laughed. "Alaila"
She smiled. "You do not expect me to tell you to forgive him. That man left you for a long time"
"Thank you" I muttered. "Thank you for not telling me to forgive him"
She smiled. "Xavia, I know you've passed through a lot and you do have a lot of regrets. I do not want you to have regrets about your father. He might not have cared for you but he is still your father. Xavia, he might not have much time left, which may be the reason he sent people to look for you. They have been on the search for six years. Isn't that enough to earn them a one-time visit?"
I nodded. "I will go with them. But Alaila, you have to promise me that you will come with me"
She nodded. "If that will make you happy, I will"
I hugged her. "Thank you"
"Can we go back now? I think our mission here is done"
"We should, please. I need to go back and tease Axel for giving me boxes of fruit as a birthday gift"
"Your birthday is coming up soon. Have you thought of how to celebrate it?"
"No. A lot had been going on with me. I haven't had time to think about it"
She smiled. "You don't have to think about it now. How about we make plans after we return from the Spirit clan? And after every other thing has been sorted out"
I nodded. "That's a good idea"
"Have you thought about your answer to Axel? Are you going to marry him at the end of the year?"
I sighed. "I do not know. I've been thinking a lot lately"
"About what?"
"How I ended up being mated to two Alphas"
"Gilbert rejected you. You can't..."
"He might have rejected me but that does not change the fact that I am mated to him"
She sighed. "Xavia, I do not want you to think about Gilbert. He doesn't deserve you. Think about Axel and how much he loves you. I want you to ask yourself if you love him and if you want to spend the rest of your life with him"
"I love him. I do and I want to spend the rest of my life with him"
She smiled. "That is what matters. I do not care that you were once mated to a cruel Alpha. The one kindhearted Lycan Alpha you are now mated with is who I care about. I know Axel will take care of you and I know you know that too. Don't keep him waiting"
I nodded. "I won't. Tell me how your wedding preparation is going?"
"We still have a lot to put in place. I am thinking of putting the wedding on hold"
"Why would you want to do that?"
"I want us to get married the same day"
I chuckled. "That seems like a good idea but have you thought about who will be our chief bridesmaids?"
She groaned. "Oh! I did not think about that". I smiled. "But I will still put the wedding on hold until your date is chosen"
"Why do you want to do that?"
"I do not want to be a pregnant chief bridesmaid", she said and I laughed.
"You are so funny, Alaila"
She smiled. "The weather seems calm today. I love it"
"I guess I am in a good mood" I replied.
"Are you finally accepting that you are the Spirit Princess whose mood controls the weather"
"No, I am not accepting that but for some reason, I can't help but think that may be true"
"Time to go back. I do not want Axel getting worried and sending men out to find you"
"Why would he want to do that?"
"He might think that you run away" she whispered and I chuckled.
"Should we make him worry a bit more?"
"I will not be doing that with you. I am taking you back"
"Can't you..."
"No"
I scoffed. "You are no fun"
"I do not want to be. Not when it involves Axel's heart"
I smiled. "Let's get back"

I decided to speak to them again. This time I was calmer and I listened to what they had to say. I was the one who sent for them, there was no reason to treat them badly. They told me a lot of things some of which I had heard from my mother but had not taken seriously.
"Do you remember having a dream before you heard about your mother's death?" Elora asked and I furrowed my brows.
"A dream? No, I did not"
"Are you sure about it?"
"I can't remember any dreams"
She sighed. "Your mom was supposed to appear in your dream to speak to you. If she did not, then her death must have been sudden"
"What is she supposed to tell me?"
"About who you are"
I tried to recall if I ever saw my mom in a dream. "I did not...". I blinked. "I-I think I did. I think I saw my mom in a dream but I cannot remember what the dream is about"
"Would you like me to help you recall it"
I stared at her. "You can?"
She nodded. "Yes. I can help you recall the dream by making you dream it again"
I blinked. "Will I be able to see my mother?"
She nodded. "You will"
I sighed. Is this a good idea? I wondered. 
"How will you do that?"
"I will send you back to the dreamland"
I sighed. "I want to recall the dream"
"Are you sure about it?"
I nodded. "If it will help me see my mother's face again. I want to give it a try"
"I will have to follow you to your room. Hope you do not mind?"
I nodded. "You can come with me"
We headed to my room and when we got there she asked me to lay on the bed. Alaila was inside. She moved closer to me.
"What is going on?" she whispered.
"She wants to help me recall a dream I had about my mother" I whispered back.
"Why would she do that?"
"There is something my mom told me that I had forgotten"
"Do you trust her?"
"I do not but I want to give it a try. When I go to the dreamland, I might not know what is going on. That is why you have to stay here until I wake up. Don't let her do anything to me"
She nodded and stepped aside.
"Are you done talking?" Elora asked and I nodded. "Then, I will begin," she said and I nodded.

I was laying on the bed and I felt a hand touch me. I opened my eyes and saw my mom smiling at me.
"Mom? You are back" I cooed happily. "I thought I was never going to see you"
She placed her hand on my hair, caressing it. "Will I leave without seeing my beautiful daughter?"
I furrowed my brows. "Are you leaving"
She nodded. "Xavia, I am going on a very far journey and I won't be returning anytime soon. You have to take care of yourself and be strong, okay?"
I nodded. "I will but do you have to go?"
"I have to. I have finished up my work here. I need to return. Promise me you will take good care of yourself"
"I will, Mother"
She smiled. "Xavia, there are some people who will come to look for you. When they do, you have to go with them"
I furrowed my brows. "What do you mean?"
"They will take you back to where you belong. I have to go now". She stood up and waved at me. "Bye, Xavia"
She began to walk to the door and it opened up. I could see the sea through the door and that got me curious. I stood up from bed and followed her. She was walking into the sea. 
"Mom?! Mom?!! Mother?!!!" I cooed but she kept walking into the sea.
I ran after her, calling after her. The sea had swallowed her up to her waist.
"Mother!" I cooed and she turned.
She gave me a genuine smile. "Don't try to come with me, Xavia. It's not your time yet. I love you, Xavia" She said as the sea swallowed her completely.
"Mother!!!" I screamed and flung my eyes open
I was sweating badly and my eyes were filled with tears.
"Mo-mother" I cooed.
Alaila held my hand. "Everything is fine now" she patted my shoulder and I sighed.
The dream seemed familiar but I could tell that there was a part that didn't seem like I had seen before. I stared at Elora.
"The dream. It doesn't..."
"It feels like a part wasn't there before right?". I nodded and she smiled. "You might not have remembered that part when you first dreamt about it"
I furrowed my brows. "Then why do I remember it now?"
"Because your Spirit eyes have been opened," she said and I stared at her. "I know you do not believe me. You can find out if I am lying"
I furrowed my brows. "How?"
She stretched her hand to me. "Hold my hand and look into my eyes. You will be able to read my mind"
"How will I know that you are not manipulating it?"
"You can try it on your friend," she said and I sighed.

It was evening and time to leave but Axel would not let me.
"I am missing you already," he said and I smiled. 
"I will be back soon. I will be back in four days, I promised"
"Four days seems far to me. I do not want to leave you. I will miss you"
"I know. And I will miss you too but I have to go"
He hugged me. "I wish you a safe journey"
I smiled. "I love you"
"I love you too"
"Can you stop acting like cry babies? Elora and the rest are waiting for us" Alaila said.
"Bye, Axel" I waved at him.
"Bye, Xavia," Axel said.
Alaila dragged me out of the room. I saw Elora and the rest waiting outside.
"Are we not supposed to meet at the parking lot?" I asked.
"We are going to pass through some portal" Alaila whispered.
"Po-portal? W-what do you mean?"
Elora smiled. "You will find out soon," she said flicking her fingers.
There was a sudden whirlwind and something that looked like a circle opened up. I felt something pushed me into the circle and it closed up. 
"Welcome to the Spirit clan" Elora announced and I blinked.
We are there already?
