“No, you don’t. You are only trying to annoy or make fun of me.” I smiled
“What took you so long? I got tired of waiting for you.” Vladimir shouted from behind which stopped Daniel from speaking
“Umm, just think about what I said. No pressure and I need to go first,” he said before running away
“What is wrong with him? Is he rushing or something?” Vladimir asked when I came near him
“Yeah because the last trip will be leaving soon.”
“What did you talk about? Since it was private that even I shouldn't be there?”
“Just some personal matters which should remain a secret,” I said
“I heard it,” he whispered
“What?” I looked at him shocked.
I swallowed hard to hide my nervousness because it would mean that I lost the bet if he heard what Daniel confessed. I had no plans of letting him win so I was planning on hiding it.
“I heard what he told you awhile ago,” he repeated
“What do you mean?” I asked again since I need to make sure that we are talking about the same thing.
“I won the bet baby. He confessed to you a while ago,” he whispered to my ears
“I don’t think I understand what you are trying to say,” I said before turning my back
“I was actually on my way back to call you because you were taking too long when I heard you talking. I was hiding behind that tree so probably didn’t see or notice me,”
“Stop bluffing,” I said blushing
“We both know that I won the bet so you will be my slave for next month. Get ready because I will make sure to give you a hard time,” he said
“As if you can do that to me when I am a precious girl to you,” I smirked
“Precious girl hahaha. What are you saying? I will not ask you to do mean things like in the dramas but I will give you a hard time. Maybe things that you hate doing.” he laughed loudly
“You better not ask anything out of the ordinary,” I said
“Don’t worry, I won’t make your life hard. I will only ask you to do things which are the opposite of what you’re thinking.” he winked at me
“I’m really curious about the drama that you are watching right now. Why are you trying to act out a master and a slave scenario?” I said shaking my head
“Who knows? You might fall in love with me just like in the movies.”
“Stop watching too much drama. You are now having an illusion. Don’t ever think of making me act as your girlfriend because I would beat the crap out of you.” I said pinching his arm
“I think you are the one who watched too much drama. That thing won’t happen don’t worry.” he laughed
I wanted to deny the truth that Daniel confessed to me but I have seen him peeking behind the tree before walking away and pretending to shout at me from far away. I am feeling nervous about what he would ask me to do because I know that he will ask me to do things that I hate.
“I will see you tomorrow so take a very good rest because you will become my slave starting tomorrow,” he said when we were in front of the house.
I was feeling light on my feet the next day while preparing to go to school. I was about to go down and eat breakfast when I heard some noise downstairs. I stopped brushing my hair and tried to listen to what Nana was talking to.
“Althea! Come and have breakfast.” Nana shouted
“What are you doing here?” I raised an eyebrow when I saw someone sitting in the living room.
“Don’t be so rude to your friend. He is here to fetch you so you could go to school together. Come on, both of you, and have breakfast.” Nana said slapping my arm
Vladimir stuck out his tongue to me when Nana turned her back. I raised my fist because he was starting to annoy me so early in the morning. He ignored me and went straight to the dining table.
“You should always have breakfast especially now that you are training after school. Eat some more.” Nana said to Vladimir
“I did have milk and bread for breakfast,” Vladimir answered
“That is not enough food for your breakfast. You need to eat more so you can grow taller.” Nana replied before looking at me.
“She might not be able to flick me in the forehead if I will keep on growing.”
They both laughed as if I was not at the dining table eating breakfast with them. I gave Vladimir a boring look when he glanced at me for him to know that I am not amused. Nana normally gets along with Allyson last year but now she is getting too close with Vladimir.
“We need to talk about the things that you shouldn’t cross if we will go on with our bet. You should never inform Daniel that we made a bet about his feelings.” I said while we were on our way to school.
“Why? Do you have mutual feelings for him?” he asked
“That doesn’t concern you anymore but I don’t want him to feel that I am playing with his feelings. I don’t know why I didn’t even notice it.” I said
“Because you don’t care. Maybe it is true that everyone around you would notice that someone likes you except you. I have been telling you that he likes you but you didn’t believe me.” he explained
I was left speechless because of what he said. Some of his gestures and the things he did were familiar. He has done them before when he confessed during primary school. I am such a fool for not noticing them.
“A penny for your thoughts?” Vladimir said snapping his fingers in front of me.
“I was just thinking of some things,” I said
“So here’s what I want you to do today since it is day one of you being my slave.” he started explaining
“Fine, say them to me so I will know what to do.”
“You promised that you have to fulfill everything that I ask so I want you to watch me in our practice today, take care of my belongings and make sure to hand me my water when I needed it,” he explained
“Fine. What else do you want me to do?” I said as I roll my eyes
“Just be there when I call you and stop doing that to me. You are being rude to your master by rolling your eyes and glaring,” he smirked
“How demanding! You said that you will not be like the mean, rich bullies from movies and dramas.” I scoffed
“I am not. Don’t forget that I am your master so call me bae.” he chuckled
“In your dreams, we already talked about that. That is not going to happen. I can still beat your ass if you keep on insisting.” I whispered to him
“And that is why I made this contract that we need to sign. Don’t forget that you are a slave and you should follow everything that I say. I am just being a gentleman but I can subdue you immediately if I want to.” he said
I frowned and snickered because of what he said. He looked back at me and gave me a slight flick on the forehead as a warning.
“Here, take a look at the contract that I made and then sign above your name,” he said handing me a printed contract after we sat down on the bench near the ground.
I just did a scan on the said contract before signing on my name. We are just playing a child’s game so I didn’t mind what was in there and I trust him that he will not get me in trouble.
“Keep the other contract in case you need to check the agreement. Just remember that you should always be there when I need you.” He said before closing his eyes.
“Do I always have to stick close to you? I don’t that would be a good idea since people might assume that something is going on.” I asked
“I am not going to ask you to do that. I just need you to be always there when I need you. I will call you so always be ready.” he nonchalantly said
I brought out my book and started reading since we arrived at school early and I don’t want to go into the classroom yet. I ignored Vladimir who was sitting in front of me.
“How are you going to face Daniel today since he just confessed yesterday. I’m sure it would be awkward and uncomfortable,” he said in a curious voice.
