Scarlett took a deep breath and tried to calm her racing thoughts. She knew that she needed to come up with a plan to escape the palace, but it was proving to be difficult with the high level of security guards and the confinement of the palace. She got up from the bed and started pacing the room, thinking of all the possible escape routes. Her mind raced as she tried to think of a way out. The palace was surrounded by thick stone walls, and the only entrance was heavily guarded. She knew that any attempt to escape would be met with resistance, and she would need to be smart about it. She paced back and forth in her room, trying to come up with a plan. She considered disguising herself as a servant or a guard, but she knew it would be risky. The guards knew each other well, and any unfamiliar face would be suspicious. She thought about climbing the walls or digging a tunnel, but the walls were too high, and the ground was too hard to dig through. She felt frustrated and trapped, but she refused to give up. Her mind kept racing as she considered her options. She knew that she needed a distraction to divert the guards' attention and make her escape. She thought about what she could use to create a diversion. A fire? Too risky. A fight? Maybe, but she didn't want to hurt anyone. Suddenly, an idea struck her. She remembered the time when she accidentally spilled some oil on the floor, causing her brother to slip and fall. What if she used that same tactic again? Scarlett searched the room for anything that could be used as a lubricant, and her eyes landed on the lamps. She smirked to herself as she grabbed the lamps. She started to plan how to use the lamp oil to create a distraction. She knew that she will need to be careful not to draw too much attention to herself while doing it, but she was determined to make her escape. She began to collect empty vials and containers to store the lamp oil in, and she started to think about where she can pour it to create a distraction. She considered pouring it on the floors to make the guards slip or on the walls to create a smokescreen. As she continued her plan, Scarlett became increasingly anxious. She knew that one misstep could mean the end of her plan and the end of her life. But she also knew that she cannot give up, and she must do whatever it took to gain her freedom. Scarlett took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing thoughts. "I have to keep going," she whispered to herself, "I can't let fear control me." She paced back and forth in her chamber, her mind racing with different ideas. Suddenly, a loud knock on the door interrupted her thoughts. Her heart racing, she went to the door and peered through the small peephole. It was a guard, his face stern and unyielding. "What do you want?" she asked, her voice laced with fear. "I need to search your room," the guard replied, his voice cold and unfeeling. Her mind raced as she tried to come up with a plan. She knew that she couldn't let him find any evidence of her escape plan. "Why?" she asked, trying to stall for time. "It's a routine search," the guard said, his hand on the hilt of his sword. Her heart sank. She had no choice but to let him in. "Fine," she said, her voice was shaking as she stepped aside to let the guard in. Scarlett noticed the guard's suspicious gaze, but she quickly took out a vial of oil and poured it on the ground. As one of the guards stepped on the slippery surface, he lost his footing and fell to the ground. The other guard immediately rushed to his aid, providing Scarlett with the chance to escape. She sprinted towards the exit, her heart pounding in her chest. She could hear the guards shouting behind her, but she didn't dare look back. She burst through the chamber door and into the corridor. Scarlett leaned against the wall, her chest was heaving as she tried to catch her breath. The sound of her racing heart was the only thing filling the quiet corridor. "That was too close," she muttered to herself. Her heart was racing as she sprinted down the corridor, trying to stay as quiet as possible. She could hear the sounds of the guards' footsteps behind her, but she refused to slow down. "What do I do now?" As if in answer to her question, she heard the sound of footsteps coming from down the hall. Her heart began to race once again as she realized that the guards had already caught up to her. Scarlett looked around frantically, searching for a place to hide. But the corridor was bare, with no alleys or paths to escape through. "Think, Scarlett, think," she mumbled to herself. The footsteps were getting closer, and Scarlett knew that she was running out of time. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to focus her thoughts. Just as she reached the end of the hallway, she spotted a heavy oak door. Without hesitation, she flung it open slowly and slipped inside, closing the door quietly behind her. Panting, she looked around and realized that she was in a storage room filled with barrels and crates. It was cramped and dusty, but it was enough to provide her with the temporary refuge that she needed. She quickly hid behind a stack of crates, listening for any sounds of pursuit. As she caught her breath, she couldn't help but feel a sense of relief mixed with fear. She knew that she had managed to outsmart the guards this time, but she also knew that they wouldn't give up so easily. She listened intently as she heard the sound of the guards' footsteps growing louder outside the door. Scarlett knew that she needed to think of a plan quickly if she wanted to avoid getting caught. As the footsteps grew closer, Scarlett's mind raced with different escape plans, but none seemed feasible. Suddenly, the doorknob began to turn, and Scarlett's heart pounded with fear. She backed away towards the far end of the room, her eyes scanning for any possible exit.
