Scarlett continued to crawl, her eyes darting back and forth as she searched for any opening or escape route. Suddenly, she spotted a small gap between the rooftop of a building and the palace walls surrounding the palace, barely wide enough for her to cross over it. It was a risk, but it could be her only chance. After a few more moments of scanning the area, she finally spotted a tree that was close enough to the palace walls to allow her to jump down safely. With renewed determination, she carefully made her way towards the gap. It wasn't an ideal escape route, but it was better than nothing. Her heart was pounding with anticipation as she realized that it was even smaller than she had initially thought. But she was determined to make it work. She carefully positioned herself on the edge of the roof and took a deep breath. "Okay, here goes nothing," she muttered to herself. “Time to make a move.” With all the strength and agility she could muster, she made a leap of faith and managed to land on the palace walls with a grunt. “I made it!" she whispered. “Time to move before they find me.” She quickly made her way along the palace walls, trying to find a way down without being seen. For a moment, it felt like she was flying, free from the confines of the palace walls to the tree. When finally she manage to reach the tree, she paused for a moment to catch her breath, then climbed down to the ground. She let out a gasp of pain as she felt herself falling, tumbling towards the ground far below. Scarlett carefully slid through it and landed on the other side, her heart pounding in her chest. She looked back at the palace, relieved to have made it out undetected. Letting out a sigh of relief, she stood up and brushed off her clothes. Now that she was on the other side, she knew she had to move quickly. She couldn't risk being caught again. But the danger wasn't over yet. Now she was alone in an unfamiliar area, with no idea where to go or how to survive. She knew that she needed to think fast if she wanted to stay alive. She took a deep breath and began to make her way towards the city, determined to put as much distance between herself and the castle as possible. She took off running towards the nearest forest, her mind already working on the next phase of her plan. Meanwhile, chaos had erupted within the palace as news of Scarlett's escape spread like wildfire and panic set in. Servants and guards scurried about, trying to determine how she had managed to slip away unnoticed. The entire palace was in disarray, with everyone on high alert and searching for her. He was beside himself with anger and frustration, pacing back and forth in his private chambers and shouting orders at anyone who came near him. Joel reported to King Tobias. “My king, I regret to inform you that Lady Scarlett has escaped from the palace.” King Tobias was fuming with rage. “Escaped?! How is that even possible?” “We believe she crawled through a window and climbed onto the roof, My king.” “Find her! I want her found and brought back to me alive. Do you understand me?” “Yes, My king. We have already increased security and are searching every inch of the palace.” “And what about the guards who were supposed to be watching her? Find them and bring them to me. I want answers right now!” “Right away, My king.” Joel immediately summoned the guards who supposed to watch Scarlett. Tobias stormed through the corridors, shouting orders and demanding answers from his trembling guards. The security was heightened, and every inch of the palace was searched with a fine-tooth comb. “Where is she? Why haven't you found her yet? She can't have gone far!” “My king, we have searched every inch of the palace and the surrounding area, but we cannot find her." “You better, or heads will roll. I want her found and brought back to me, no matter what it takes.” King Tobias, enraged by Scarlett's escape, was keeping a close eye on the surrounding area from the balcony of the palace. He was hoping to catch a glimpse of her and order his guards to bring her back to him. Suddenly, he spotted Scarlett on the roof of one of the buildings in the distance, but before he could make his way to her, she disappeared from sight. He slammed his fist against the railing in frustration, knowing that he couldn't let her get away. Tobias turned to his guards and shouted, “She couldn't have gone far. I saw her on that rooftop just now. Find her, and find her now! She must not leave the palace grounds! I don't care what it takes, bring her back to me alive!” “Yes, My king. We will do everything in our power to find her." "And make it quick. I'm offering a hefty reward to anyone who brings her back to me. I want her found before she can cause any more damage." The guards nodded and began to search the area, but Scarlett had already made her way to the tree and was now on the ground, making her escape. "My king," one of the guards said, "we've searched the area and there's no sign of her." Tobias scowled. "You fools! She can't have gone far. Keep searching!" "But, My king," the other guard interjected, "we've searched every inch of this area. She must have already escaped beyond the palace walls." Tobias looked around, his eyes narrowing as he tried to spot any sign of Scarlett. "Then we'll search beyond the palace walls. I want every inch of this city searched until she's found." The guards nodded and set off to carry out their orders, while Tobias stood there, seething with anger and frustration. After what Scarlett had done, he knew he had to track her down and make her pay for her crafty scheme.
