Chapter 52
Layla’s heart skipped as her boyfriend removed his cap.
“Why are you wearing black then,” Layla asked in fear realizing she is not wearing a bulletproof and just tying towel.
Boyfriend: just like the color black and you know it will make me look sexy to you
Layla: you are not sexy with this, do you know how you look like right now
Boyfriend: let us forget about it, don't you miss me?
Layla: I miss you💜(she said putting on a fake smile) let me go dress up okay? Be right back
Boyfriend: no no, don't go let us be together for some time, I miss you so much
Layla: hm, okay s(she sits down beside him on the couch) So what should we do? ( she asked shaking inside, with fear for her life but she managed to hide it and put on a fake smile.
Her boyfriend starts to kiss her telling her he loves her and misses her as he removed the knife from his pocket; Layla noticed his hand moving and open her eyes to check what is happening before she knows it she felt a sharp pain in her stomach, he already shook her with the knife he brought.
His mission being accomplished he stand up to take a picture of her and video as she was bleeding to death.
“You betrayed me, “ she said with her last breath, tears streaming down her face
“Sorry baby💔, I needed the money; rest in peace,” he said to her as he run out of the house.

The bodyguard’s mind was not at rest since he entered his room, he has been suspicious of the guy who claimed to be Layla’s boyfriend and dressing like an assassin, so he decided to check on them again; on getting outside he saw the guy rushing outside the gate like he was being chased, seeing that his suspicion rose, he wanted to run and catch the guy but thinking about Layla he has to check if she is okay or not.
He towards Layla's apartment and there was no response then he entered without permission from her, and what he saw made him stop on his track; there was blood on the floor she has been bleeding.
Seeing this he stopped himself being in a dazed and carried Layla as he use his hand to cover the spot bleeding then carried her into his car to the nearest hospital.
As soon as they got to the hospital, the doctors started her treatment with immediate effect because they know it was an emergency and it was likely she pass out if care is not taken fast.

“Good evening sir, Layla is in the hospital a guy who claimed to be her boyfriend shook her with a knife but she is receiving treatment from the doctors now,” the bodyguard said on a phone call with Mr Hayden
Mr. Hayden: what! Are you joking right now? Is it, not your duty to not let anything bad happen to her? What am I Paying you for then?
Bodyguard: am sorry sir
My Hayden: sorry for yourself, if anything happens to that girl I say again if anything happens to that girl you will pay for it with your life ( he threatened) send the bills to me and their bank account details
Bodyguard: okay sir, will do that now, I promise nothing will happen to her sir
Mr. Hayden: nothing must happen to her.
(There is a saying” We can't cheat human nature” Even though we want to be a good person there are some bad situations that will come to our favor but if we let our nature decide for us we will end up being a bad person.)
Mr. Hayden was kind of happy hearing about the incident that happened to Layla, thinking his daughter will be chosen as the new owner of the company instead of Layla, but he shunned the thought of it immediately not wanting to be a bad person anymore.

The bodyguard has been restless since he got to the hospital, he was paving around his hand on his waist, praying for the survivor of Paula as he saw the doctor attending to Layla
“Hey doctor, how is she? Hope she is fine” he said hurriedly hoping for a good answer.
“ she will survive it, you don't have to worry, it's a good thing you bring her here on time and you made sure she did not lose more than the blood she already lost” the doctor replied with a smile
Bodyguard: thank you thank you, thank you she survived ( he said happily
