Some days later Layla was discharged, and Henry and Sophie helped her to get home.
Layla insisted on not speaking with Sophie n't because she is still angry but because she doesn't know how to face her, she was not sure how to react if she should be angry at her or comforting her.
After settling the processing for her discharge, Henry brought his car and then take her home; during their journey home the car was in total silence, with no one talking to each other. Henry tried to break the silence by coughing and then saying something but he felt the awkwardness between them and shut his mouth up.
Getting home, Henry helped Layla inside while Sophie helped in offloading from the car; after making Layla comfortable he come back to the car to help Sophie with part of the loads.
Sophie: who are you to Layla (she asked looking at him with a serious face saying answer me now ! hope you are not one of the betrayal and monitoring set of people?)
Henry: you don't need to be this serious miss, am just a kindhearted neighbor of her
Sophie: okay better be
Henry: em( trying to say something but hesitating)
Sophie: what else? spill it out
Henry: your relationship with Layla seems suspicious, you call yourself her sister but you both haven’t spoken to each other since you came.
Sophie: you think am a killer? It’s none of your business okay 👌 stay out of people’s business(she walked out immediately)
Henry: (he stands still looking at her as she walks through the door into the house) She looks suspicious, is she her sister hope she is not the second person sent to Layla to kill her once and for all, I need to go inside now!! ( he said as he grab the loads and then walk inside as fast as he can

Come to think of it you never spoke to me I did not hear anything from you and I was home hearing the rumors that you are dead how am I not to believe? Layla: am sorry for not understanding this and getting angry at you but I was sad I was hurt that you think I was dead anyways how did you get here
Sophie: I gained my freedom

Layla: am sorry for what I asked but what a long story and have been meaning to ask why you care so much for me. We are more like family we don't even know each other but you care for me like your family even though those who I called family are my greatest enemy and the biggest stranger.
Sophie: Layla, I care for you! I love you! 💜and that is the truth, have seen his family treats you and I don't want you to be alone, I want you to be happy that is just how I feel towards you. You are just like a sister to me, I see you as my younger sister then why won't I care about you
Layla: awwwwn thank you I love too you and I see you as my elder sister🥺😊💜(she moves closer to her and hugs her so tightly as tears drop from her eyes)
Sophie: (smiles) am glad you love me hehe, Layla... Tell me how it happened....the incident?
Layla: he came(she said silently almost whispering) he did it, he tried to kill me and he thought he did( cleans her tears with her palm) but it’s okay, is okay am fine now (put on a fake smile ) don’t worry about me being okay (smiles again trying to be brave)
Sophie: I know you are not okay(holds her two hands in her palm) but brazen up! That’s life for you, he is not meant for you, he is just a temporary person in your life huh be brave and move on, thanks to GOD you are alive and okay. Be brave! Okay!
Layla:(bursts out in tears) How can I be okay, it’s hurt I Am trying to be brave but I can’t help it, I love him I loved him with all my heart he is my first boyfriend, my first love, he betrayed me he tried to kill me, Sophie! Can I ever be okay? Can I ever love anyone? (Henry who stayed in the sitting room listening to their discussion was sad hearing it, his heart sank hearing Layla crying a few tears drop from his eyes but he immediately cleaned up it) and can I ever trust anyone, Sophie? Sophie: Layla calm down okay ( she move closer to her and then hug her using one of her hand to stroke her back) Layla that is life for you and you know what you learn day by day from different situations and this you have learned another lesson of life but that does not mean you can't love it trust anymore huh Paula, you are a unique girl and am sure you have a brighter future
