Chapter 57
Today is the day Sophie would be traveling to find out about Layla's death.
She already packed her luggage since the day she informed mr Hayden of her traveling.
Mr. Hayden gave her some money to take care of herself as she left the house for the airport.

Some hours later she arrived at her destination, and she called one of her friends who helped her get Layla a safe apartment, they both go to the apartment and then told her friend to go back and that they will come to greet her someday.
She stands at the front of the house looking for a way to go in since she does not have the house key, she moved forward to the door checking if she can use a pin to unlock it; she takes out a pin from her bag then try inserting it to unlock it.
Henry has been watching her from his window to see what she is about to do, seeing her trying to open the door he comes outside to meet her.
“Hello miss, what are you trying to do? Are you breaking into another person's house? (Henry asked her looking at her suspiciously)
Sophie: no am not trying to break in, the person living in this apartment is dead so I come to investigate eager death but her key is not with me( she said with a broken voice tears streaming down her face)
Henry: do you mean Layla?
Sophie: yes Layla, do you know about it,
Henry: she is not dead! she is in the hospital receiving treatment.
Sophie: are you for real( she cleaned her tears with et palm) Can you take me there, please
Henry: it is not a problem I can take you to her
Sophie: please thank you please take me now
Henry: okay no problem, let's go

Henry: this she ( Henry said to Sophie as he take her to Layla's ward pointing at her
Meanwhile, Layla was sleeping not noticing anything while Sophie stood there mesmerized as she looks at her with tears piling up her eyes.
“ how stupid of me to believe you are dead, she said you are dead and that she killed you. Was she lying to me? Did she do that intentionally? Does she know our plan? I feel stupid” she said as she sit down beside Layla’s sick bed holding her hand as tears drops from her eyes.
Layla felt a wet substance on her hand not knowing what it is she opened her eyes to check what it is, seeing Sophie she can’t believe her eye so she closed them back
“Oh no she can’t be the one, how will she even know my whereabouts and she already thinks am dead so …hell no it is not Sophie my eyes are deceiving me, oh no am I getting blind am I seeing things now? I need to open my eyes to be sure” she said in her head as she opened her eyes again.
“Doctor!!!!” She called out caring about what is happened to her eyes
Sophie: hey what is wrong Layla, are you not feeling okay Doctor!!
Layla: oh geez am hearing things now, Henry!, wait did I just say Henry crap! Doctor
“ What happened to her,” one of the nurses said facing Sophie
Sophie: I don’t know, she woke up and starts calling the doctor, where is the doctor, please?
Nurse: okay calm down, Layla what is wrong? What happened?
Layla: I don't know my eye jeeps seeing Things and my ear keeps hearing things
Nurse: what are you seeing and hearing
Layla: she is not real, there is no how she can come here, it's just an illusion I don't even know if it is an illusion but it can't be real and it sounds and feel like it's real (she said pointing at Sophie)
The nurse moved close to Sophie and then touch her from her head to toe meanwhile Sophie stood there dumbfounded not knowing what to do or say.
Nurse: Layla she is real okay, calm down move close to her and touch her she is real! (facing Sophie now) please who are you to her
Sophie: am an aunt
Nurse: and why haven't you come to check on her all this while
Sophie: am sorry, I did not know she was here, it was another story I heard.
Nurse: leave her for a moment so she can rest because right now is not the time to talk with her
Sophie: okay thank you ( she said as she pick up her bag making her way to the exist)
Halfway to the exit she looked back with her eyes filled with tears, hurting, and knowing how Layla hurts too, she feels her pain, she has been through worst than this but she has to keep It to herself.
The nurse led her to the reception where she can sit 💺 till she can be able to speak with Layla.
