"Rachel" A hand taps my shoulder "Are you okay?" A voice echoed.
I turned around and gulped looking around my environment I realized it was another daydream of mine.
"Rachel are you okay?" Amy’s voice echoed in my ear
"Yeah…Umm…I’m fine." I responded
She touched my forehead "You’re sweating."
I sighed "Uhm…it’s just stress, I’m fine."
I have to go, if I stay here for long, I’m gonna freak out. I grabbed my bag and stood up, turning back at Amy "I have to go."
"Go! We still have one more class." She said
"I know but I…Uhm…I have to go to work, send me the notes later, okay." I began walking away
"But your job starts till later." I heard Amy yell. I didn’t turn around or answer her, I have so many things.
Once I arrived at the cafeteria, I went into the staff room and kept my bag, I wore my apron and then put on a hair net. Walking toward the door, a strong wind blew which made the door slam shut. I tried to open it but couldn’t "Brian!" I called out while knocking on the door.
"Rachel." I heard a demonic voice whisper behind me.
"It’s not real, it’s not real," I muttered.
Taking a deep breath, I tried to open the door again "Brian, open the door, it’s stuck." I called out
"Rachel!" The voice whispered again
I closed my eyes and began reciting a holy verse. "Oh lord get me out of this nightmare, save me for you are my savior." I muttered
Once I opened my eyes, the whole environment changed, I wasn’t in the staff room I was in the middle of a dark empty room, I began to hyperventilate, as I turned around I saw her, she was facing the ground, once she lifted her head, a wind drew me back making my body hit the wall. I tried to move but It felt like I wasn’t in control of my body. She sluggishly walked toward as she looked into my eyes she whispered "You are a part of us."
"I’m…I’m not a part of…you." I hyperventilate. "Go away! Go away! Go away!" I cried out.
Walking a step forward, she stopped and turned around, she was looking in another direction, and her facial reaction changed, it was like she saw something, something I couldn’t see. She instantly turned and looked at me, her eyeballs popped out and blood continuously streamed out from them. I widened my eyes and all of a sudden, she vanished then everything went blank.
"Rachel! Rachel are you okay?" I heard a voice echoing in my ear
"Rachel! Rachel!" The voice said again
My eyes started to slowly open till slightly hazy, once my eyes cleared; they started to adjust to the brightness of the room. "What happened?" I touched my forehead, it was a bit hot almost like I had a fever. My eyes glistened with fear when I realized I was laying on the floor and Brian was staring at me.
"What…what are you doing here?" I asked while adjusting my position
"Are you okay?" He said; his voice was filled with concern and sympathy
I cleared my throat "Yeah I’m fine."
There was silence In the room for a few seconds, Brian was still staring at me, he had a creepy smile on his face "What?" I questioned
His body began to turn into something extremely weird, when it completely molded he turned into a tremendous bizarre creature. My eyes widened as my breath got short, he leaned closer to me, until we were only a finger's length away from each other. I wanted to run away but my body felt paralyzed. I could feel his breath on my face "You are a part of us." He guttural growled
I began to hyperventilate, my body regained its gesture, and I began to slowly move away from him as he stood back staring at me. "You are a part of us." A voice whispered from beside me, I looked around and saw the strange girl. I instantly closed my eyes as tears dropped down to the floor.
"You are a part of us!" Another voice said.
I’m a short while, I was surrounded by clock chimes, whispers, giggles, and a clock ticking.
"You are a part of us! You are a part of us! You are a part of us!" The whispers echoed in my ears. I continuously shook my hand "No! No! No! No!" I shrieked
The whispers began louder and louder until an incredibly loud clock chime clinked and everything stopped.
I hyperventilated as I silently cried opening my eyes I saw Brian knelt next to me, he was in his normal shape.
"Rachel are you okay?" He asked
I opened my mouth to talk but no words came out of it.
"Rachel, you look terrified, did something happen?" He asked
I inhaled air while standing up, I wiped my tears once I face the doorway "I’m fine."
"Are you sure? You don’t look fine"
"I’m fine, it was just…Uhm...I’m fine." I said
"Rachel, you know you can_"
"I said I’m fine, you don’t have to worry about me." I let out a breath and looked at him "Trust me, I’m fine." I walked toward the door
"Rachel! Rachel!" Brian called me out.
Once I walked out of the staff room, I grabbed a plastic bottle of water from the counter and gulped it. I just don’t know what’s wrong with me, I feel like I’m going crazy, it feels so real but at the same, it sounds like a hallucination. I know I’m not delusional but I can’t even explain it to anyone even if I try. I feel like I’m trapped in a nightmare I keep reliving over and over again. As I dropped the water on the counter, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I began to hyperventilate but stopped when I turned back and saw Brian "You left your hair net." He handed it over to me.
"Thanks."
While wearing the hair net, Brian continued to stare at me. "What! Please stop staring." I rolled my eyes
"You’re a part of us." He fiendishly said
My breath got short as my eyes dilated, and his words continuously echoed in my ears.
I gulped "I’m not a part of you." I whined moving backward. As he began walking closer to me, I felt another taped my shoulder which made me turn around, once I did, I came face to face with Brian "You left your hair net." He said.
I let out a breath and turned back, there was no one behind me.
"Racheal!" Brian snapped a finger at me bringing me back to reality "Your hair net." He handed it over to me. I gulped while taking it, "What’s wrong?" He asked
I instantly shook my head "Nothing."
"Are you sure?" He questioned
I was about to answer his question when I saw her standing right behind him "I’m sorry but I have to go." I walked towards the door exit.
"Rachel!" Brian called for me but that didn’t stop me from leaving the cafeteria.
