This year's Prom Committee is headed by Libby. They have twenty three members. Ten students from Libby's class - Grade 10-Love: Libby, Dan, Martin, Kate, May, Ashley, Jon, Nikki, Dani and Chloe. Two students from Grade 10-Faith: Laarni and Nelson. Two students from Grade 10- Hope: Oscar and Cheska. And one student each from Grade 10- Amity : Angie, Grade 10- Benevolence: Rica, Grade 10- Brilliance: Jerome. And six students from Grade 9 representatives: Julie, Mia, Nancy, Art, Cesar and Diego. They will be advised by the head of the High School Department Miss Jimenez and the head of the Sports Team Coach Bradley and of course by the guidance of the School Headmaster, Mr. De Jesus. They are all gathered in the school's conference room to discuss their theme and necessary preparations for St Paula's upcoming Promenade Ball. A projector is set up in front for Libby's prepared PowerPoint presentation. She made three options for this year's ball. Dan and May will help her in the slides navigation and explanation per theme. They are only waiting for the Headmaster so they can start the meeting. Just then Headmaster De Jesus walks in. "I'm sorry. Just finished a virtual meeting with the board. Some concerns were raised," he explained while taking a seat. He glanced at Libby. "But no need to worry. The concerns were not about the upcoming ball. So, are you ready to present?" "Yes, Headmaster," said Libby. She, Dan and May went up front. Dan seated to navigate the projector. They started the PowerPoint presentation. Libby made a flawless presentation. They started by showing their first option. "The Great Gatsby: Be Your Own Lead Character". Sample pictures of gowns, tuxedos, men's suit were shown, possible gym decoration, intermission numbers, probable performers, mini games, awardings, and budget and of course food. While the slides are being shown, Libby and May also explained the minute details that can't be put in the PowerPoint. "I hope you like our first theme. If you have any questions you may ask it now before we proceed." Libby said. "Anyone?" She turned to Headmaster De Jesus. "Headmaster?" "No questions so far Miss Morales," he said smiling. "As always you give us quite a presentation. All sides already covered." "Thank you, Headmaster," Libby said bowing to him. "Okay, let's proceed to our second option." Dan then continued to play the PowerPoint presentation. The second theme is "Royalty:Be a King or Queen for a night". Like the first theme, sample pictures of gowns, robes, king's outfits, crowns, septer, possible decorations, program flow, guests, awards and prizes, and the important budget and food. Then like the first presentation, since no question is raised they continued to the third theme. "A Masquerade Night: Be Mysterious or Be You". Again sample gowns and suits and masks were shown, possible decorations, program flow, performers, awarding, budget and food. After all slides are shown and explained, Libby, Dan and May stood in front to answer any questions. "Thank you Miss Morales, Miss Valdez and Mr Olivar. That's a very good presentation," Headmaster De Jesus praised them. "From my point of view, all the details are very well lated out. So I think, this is a matter of which theme is what appeals to majority." "I agree Headmaster." said Miss Jimenez, Grade 10's class adviser and head of the High School Department. "We just need to upload all of this in our school website so every Grade 9 and 10 students can vote." "Okay. So that's settled then?" said Headmaster De Jesus while standing. "Send me a soft copy first for approval before the upload. We need to release this by tomorrow morning then voting will end after twenty four hours. Once the vote is up, we will meet again for the planning proper. Libby, I'll forward the number of the decorator we always use, coordinate with her for the plans, okay?" Libby nodded. "Then, I'm off to my office, need to attend to another meeting. Thank you everyone for your input," he waved then went out of the conference room. "So, okay, that's it then. Dan and Libby, kindly send the soft copy to our Headmaster, CC me, Coach Bradley and the rest of our Prom Committee. You may all go now," said Miss Jimenez. While everyone went out one by one, Libby, Dan and May were left to gather their things. They turned off the projector, arranged the chairs, picked up the folders and papers that was used earlier, turned off the lights and air-conditioner, then went out the door. "Great presentation Libby,"Dan told her. "Yeah Libby, that's perfect in so many ways." said May. "I heard you only have a day to do all that." "I'm used to rushing things," Libby laughed. "I'm just glad that it turned out okay. And thank you both for helping me out earlier. May, you're awesome, even though I only sent the files to you later last night." "Oh, no worries. I'm still up til eleven last night. I need to practice some of our moves for the cheer," said May. "Speaking of, I need to rushed guys. Have to get to the field. We have practice. I booked the field for two hours. Bye!" "Bye May, see you tomorrow," Libby said. Then she turned to Dan. "How 'bout you, don't you have practice today?" "We have but not until 4:30. And it's just 3:30 so I still have an hour. Let's head to the cafeteria, eat while going over the soft copy that we need to send them later." said Dan. "Okay, I'm starving actually. I skipped lunch so I can finish the presentation." "What? And you didn't tell me?" Dan looked hurt. "I could've help you out earlier." "I'm just super rushed Dan. And I know you're also busy. And I ate a heavy breakfast before going to school. You know Mom made a king's breakfast this morning and I just don't have the heart to ignore it," Libby explained. "Okay. Let me pay for your food then," said Dan. "Sure," Libby smiled.
