Libby, Mimi, Dan, Kate, Jon, Ashley, May, Nikki and Martin are gathered in one of the executive suite of SP Grand Hote with their laptops and school things. They positioned themselves in a table. The school board decided to do an online class indefinitely or until Coach Bradley is apprehended. The incident in the hospital was followed by an incident in school wherein a few of the basketball varsity team saw Coach Bradley around the gym. So for the students safety, the school decided for an online class instead of suspending it indefinitely because it's already the fourth quarter. The friend's parents decided to placed their kids in a secure hotel where they will have security for twenty four hours plus the additional protection from the police. Libby, though still on recovery due a gunshot wound in her shoulder is back from doing what she knows best - solving this mystery. She and her friends from the Mystery Club is now sure that Coach Bradley is being helped by someone. The night Libby was kidnapped and was held in the abandoned warehouse with Miss Jimenez, she heard Coach Bradley talking to someone on the phone. And they need to know whoever that was so they can go back to their normal lives. "That's it for today class," said Miss Morales. They are in a Google classroom with all of their classmates. "Will see you tomorrow. Dismissed." She waved then she was gone as well as their other classmates. Libby and her friends also logged off and started to gather their things. That's their last subject for the day. Detective Suarez, who's one of their security detail approached them when she saw that their class already ended. "Let's head back to your suite Libby. Detective Zapanta is already there for an update," she said to the group. She signalled to Detective Marcelo to come over. As security details, they need to be with the kids all the time. The group stood up and with their things headed inside the hotel. While waiting for the elevator, they saw Grace - Dan's mom hurrying towards them with milk teas and boxes of pastries. "Woah, Mom, be careful," Dan told her gently as Grace almost tripped. "Sorry," said Grace smiling. "How's your day?" "Fine, I guess," Dan answered. "We'll go up into two groups. Libby, Mimi, Dan, Grace, Martin and Ashley, with me. The rest with Detective Marcelo," instructed by Detective Suarez. When the elevator door opened, Libby's group went in and was followed by the other group in the next elevator. Up at Libby's suite Detective Zapanta, Headmaster De Jesus, Martin's parents, and a bunch of police officers were waiting. When Libby and her friends had arrived and settled, they started the briefing. Grace passed donuts, sandwiches, milk tea and coffee around. "After the hospital and school sightings, Coach Bradley hasn't been seen again. We positioned agents to his apartment, his parents house and other properties named after them. So far, silence," Detective Zapanta started the meeting. "Detective, how about our request from his phone company to track whoever he is talking last time at the warehouse?" Libby asked. "That's another thing. That number is also registered to Coach Bradley. Apparently, he has four numbers under his name. But we're still waiting for the data from the phone company. We've requested the text and call history from all of his numbers," Detective Zapanta said. He looked around. He's sending something from the group. "Well, did you guys found out anything?" he asked Libby's group. Libby smiled. She knew that Detective Zapanta will know that they - the Mystery Club is conducting their own investigation. She signalled to Dan. Dan stood up and get something from their things. He passed it to Detective Zapanta. It is an envelope. Inside the envelope are: 1) list of Coach Bradley's contacts (they borrowed the cellphone that's currently in the evidence vault and cloned it), 2) list of all properties under Coach Bradley's distant relatives (like the abandoned warehouse where Libby and Miss Jimenez was held), 3) Coach Bradley's mother details - phone, car, properties, associates (they had a hunch that his mom is helping him) and 4) list of Coach Bradley's storage units (they found out that Coach Bradley has so many rented storage units). "This is a lot guys," Detective Zapanta said impressed. He scanned the list of Coach Bradley's contacts. "Most people in this list has already been contacted and checked except for I think three or four." He encircled the said names and number. "We'll focus on this." He passed the list to another agent. "Checked this immediately and report it before seven tonight." The agent nodded then left to go to the station. He turned to Libby. "So, have any of you seen anything suspicious lately?" "So far, none Detective," Libby answered. "That's why we had a lot of time to do research and quiet investigation on Coach Bradley's." "That's right," Dan said. "We may have a lead on who he was talking to last time and who helped him escape." "Who?"asked Detective Zapanta. "We may both be right. We also have a hunch but we are waiting that report from the phone company to confirm it." "His dad," Libby said nonchalantly. Detective Zapanta smiled. "You know kids, I urge all of you to do this professionally. You'll be rich in no time. I'm constantly amazed by your skills." "You also suspected him?"Dan asked. Detective Zapanta nodded. "Both parents actually. The moment his dad injected himself in the case that night during the rescue, I started to doubt his intentions." "That's also the case for us," Mimi said. "We've been monitoring his move ever since." "We've also asked my mom for help," Nikki said. Her mom is the school's assistant deputy security. "We thought the school might have records of Coach Bradley's dad since he was employed there years ago." "Nice," Detective Zapanta said. "We're just waiting for Nikki's mom for us to proceed," Jon added. "Okay, I think I'll stay here and wait. Whatever information Nikki's mom will bring got me curious," said Detective Zapanta. "My parents will also be here in a while," said Martin. "They want to hear an update and will also bring lunch for everybody." "Speaking of lunch, need to organize our table and sink," May said. "Any volunteers on dishwashing?" "Jon and I will do it May," said Dan. "You and the girls do the rest." "I'll prep the rice," said Ashley. Everyone nodded and started to do their assigned tasks. Grace, Dan's mom approached Detective Zapanta. "Detective, can you tell me honestly, can we really catch Coach Bradley?" she asked quietly. Detective Zapanta looked at Grace sympathetically. He completely understood where she's coming from. Coach Bradley is a very dangerous individual and her son and his friends is the target of his rage. Libby almost got killed last time. "Don't worry Mrs. Olivar, the kids will be safe here. I have strict instructions to never let them out. This place has the best security there is," he assured her. "And about Coach Bradley, we're doing everything we can to catch him. Sooner or later this will all be over." Grace nodded. She wants to feel assured. She can't explain but she has this feeling that something big will happen soon. "Detective Zapanta, here's the info from Coach Bradley's contact," an agent who just arrived from HQ approached Detective Zapanta. "Thank you," said Detective Zapanta. "How about the transcript of his messages that we requested from his phone company?" "Detective Salvador went there a while ago. We're hoping for a positive result especially that we already got a Judge signed on a warrant," answered the agent. "Good," said Detective Zapanta while checking the documents that was given to him. He stopped to double check something that caught his attention. "Just as we suspected." "Any news Detective?" Headmaster De Jesus, Martin's parents, Libby's mom and Nikki's mom entered the room. They brought snacks for everyone. "I hope it's a good one," Libby's mom said smiling. "It is," answered Detective Zapanta. He gathered everyone. When everyone is seated, he started the meeting. "Here's the report from Coach Bradley's contact list and the transcript of his text from his phone company. This concluded our suspicion from the start." he looked at Libby's group. "You knew that Coach Bradley is under medication right?" Libby and Dan nodded. "Medication for what?" Headmaster De Jesus asked. "If he is sick or something, he should've informed the school." "I saw him taking a capsule when me and Miss Jimenez was held in the warehouse," said Libby. "I had a chance to glimpse at its name back then. When I was released at the hospital, I researched what it was for." "I saw him at the gym many times taking it," said Dan. "I just thought it's vitamins or meds for headache. But when Libby told me what she saw, we asked Nikki's mom to search his gym office for prescriptions." Nikki's mom first approached Headmaster De Jesus and Martin's parents to show them what she found at Coach Bradley's gym office then handed it to Detective Zapanta. "This is what we found. Prescriptions, empty bottles, his doctor's contact information and his planner." "We'll proceed from this," said Detective Zapanta while reading the report. "What about the other thing?" he asked and signalled Libby. "Ooh, I almost forgot," Libby said. She then looked at Nikki's mom. Nikki's mom nodded. She then handed out another folder to Headmaster De Jesus and Martin's parents and to Detective Zapanta. "We kinda suspected Coach Bradley's dad - Coach Smith, had something to do with his escape on the night of our abduction," Libby said carefully. "At the warehouse, Miss Jimenez and I heard him talking with someone at his cellphone. I'm not just sure yet then but I thought it was his dad. The tone of his voice and how he talked sounded like the way he would talked to Coach Smith when he visits the school. But to be sure, we've asked Nikki's mom for Coach Smith's school records." "Well, don't keep us hanging. Spill!," said Detective Zapanta. "I haven't seen this, have I?" Headmaster De Jesus asked while flipping the pages in the folder. "No, Headmaster. I believed Coach Smith bribed our previous HR assistant that handles these records." answered Nikki's mom. "Unbelievable!" Martin's dad said horrified while reading the file. "To think we let him to be a part of our school, overseeing hundreds of kids." Detective Zapanta sighed in disbelief. No wonder Coach Bradley turned that way. His dad- Coach Smith is something. Thankfully, while working at the school, he somewhat changed, as there's no reported incident involving him. Or is there? He looked at Libby and her friends. He wondered how they will approached this situation. To think that their hunch is correct. "Do we still have a tail on Coach Smith?" he asked the other detectives present in the room. "Yes Sir. Detectives Lopez and Juarez are positioned outside their house," answered Detective Barnes. "Contact them. Ask for updates," Detective Zapanta ordered. "Yes Sir," answered Detective Barnes. She then went to the other room to contact said agents. "How's Coach Smith when he was still connected to the school?" Detective Zapanta asked the Headmaster. "Seemed normal. Kids trusted him. He's close to the staff and treated everybody well," Headmaster De Jesus answered while shaking his head. "But I felt something off about him. Maybe the way he smiles. I don't know. I maybe grasping but I thought then that he seemed excessively happy." "That maybe true Headmaster," Libby said. "He has borderline personality disorder and unconfirmed schizophrenia. According to his medical records that he kept the school authorities from seeing, he's on medication. Same meds that Coach Bradley is taking." "Okay.. but didn't Miss Jimenez said that they plotted the cheating scheme to make money?" Martin's dad seemed confused. " Are you telling me now that it's not the reason? That we put the students' lives in danger just by having Coach Smith and Bradley?" "I think Dad, that for Miss Jimenez, it's just about money. Since her mom is sick that time. She had no idea about the other side of Coach Bradley," said Martin. "We also interviewed the students whom Coach Bradley sold the test papers," said Mimi. "They said that Coach Bradley seemed not to mind about delayed payments and even had an instance that some couldn't pay him, that's why some of them are even thankful. They thought Coach Bradley is helping them in terms of their academic grades so that they can still continue to be part of varisity teams." "As per Miss Jimenez, the only time he saw Coach Bradley being aggressive is the time of their arrest. She was surprised to see Coach Bradley in a fist fight," said Dan. "And as a former varsity player working side by side with him for years, I will say that outside he really is a normal, kind, approachable person. But I saw him a few times lost his temper and he is completely different. I thought then that it's because he's just bottled up his frustrations but before the cheating incident with Miss Jimenez, he became worse, especially when he wasn't able to take his meds." "I heard that they're in a financial crisis this past year," said Martin's dad. "A friend of mine who owns the city mall and the building where they live - Coach Bradley and his parents, approached me last December to asked if I knew the family. I was surprised by the question but then I answered yes, I told him that Coach Bradley is employed in our school and that his dad Coach Smith was also employed at the school til three years ago. I asked him what it is about because he looked concerne. He told me that the family wasn't able to pay rent for six months already and has a loan under their lending company that is already past due. I didn't show my friend that I was shocked and worried by the information he gave me, but said to him that I will talk to Coach Bradley. He thanked me. The next day, if you remember Headmaster, I asked a meeting with Coach Bradley," he turned to Headmaster De Jesus that nodded in affirmation. "I asked Coach Bradley if he have problems at work or in family that needed our help. I remembered he stared at me first for a long time before answering. He said that everything's fine and I don't need to involve myself if ever a problem arises. I think the way he answered sent me chills that time. I can't explain but the way he's looking at me while talking gave me the chills. I shifted my questions to the gym and our sports equipments and facilities. After answering more questions regarding the facilities I dismissed him." "You didn't tell me about this," Martin's mom said. "I just remembered it now. I was so busy that day and the following months that it slipped my mind," Martin's dad answered. "I think looking into this timeline explained why the sudden need for cash. Maybe around that time they planned for the cheating scheme," said Nikki. "True. Maybe we need to talk to Miss Jimenez again," said Detective Zapanta. "Maybe she's feeling better now." "Uhm, Detective.. " a police officer come rushing to the room. Everyone became tensed as if sensing something bad is about to happen. "What is it Officer?" asked Detective Zapanta softly. "There's a report from the hospital where Miss Jimenez is confined," the officer nervously answered. "Yes?" Detective Zapanta stood up and gathered his things preparing to leave any second. "Miss Jimenez is missing," the officer dropped the news immediately. Everybody frozed. What is happening? Can't they take a break. They all thought the same thing. That Coach Bradley is behind this. "She was agitated the whole morning because she can't contact her mom. We sent officers at their house but her mom wasn't there. When we came in her hospital room to report, a nurse was talking to her and she seemed to calmed down. After a while, the nurse assisted her to take a scheduled lab test. We walked them up to the examination room and waited outside. But after thirty minutes of waiting, we became impatient and asked the receptionist outside if the test was already done. She seemed confused and told us that there's no scheduled lab test for Miss Jimenez. She went inside and said no one's there. We immediately alerted the hospital security. We checked the footage and saw the nurse whom the hospital said is not an employee there helped her down to the basement parking and they both rode a van that's waiting for them," reported the police officer. "Okay, guys, send two of our men to the hospital to investigate more. Check the van's plate number, Vin number, etc. We need it to report to the media. We need all the help we can get," Detective Zapanta ordered the other agents present in the room. "Kids," he told Libby and her friends," please stay put. If you think of anything that can help this case, contact me thru my phone." Libby and the rest nodded in agreement. "We'll stay here with them," Martin's dad said. "We'll contact the school to send us more security," said Headmaster De Jesus. "Some of the agents will stay here," said Detective Zapanta. "I'll also advise the hotel's security of the current situation." Just then an agent entered the room. "Uhm, Detective Zapanta, someone wants to talk to you. Says it's urgent," said the agent. "Well, who is it?"asked Detective Zapanta sounding irritated. He's in a hurry gathering his things. The agent signalled someone to come in. When the person entered, everyone froze. It's Mrs. Smith!
