Chapter 4 Memory

It was that day when Gabriel first came to a place that was nothing but an antique shop and he found a pocket watch which as soon as he turned it emitted a harmonic sound that made him feel touched and into an unknown dimension. There he met someone who was a woman. His gaze and even his smile made her feel a different sensation of his presence in her shadow. Now he was reminded of the same thing where Gabriel was in an empty white room and he walked while looking at the surrounding area filled with red roses making him recall those memories. Gabriel moved to and fro but he didn't find the end and there he met the figure again. Now he was right in front of her with eyes that made him seem hypnotized. Suddenly as fast as light the woman whispered something into his ear and it made Gabriel feel goosebumps with what he whispered unfortunately as soon as he turned around the woman disappeared like rose petals flying in the wind. Gabriel who was surprised then he woke up from his dream with a surprised face because what he just saw was similar to that day when he was first at the antique shop.
“What dream was that? why is it like the time at the shop?” Gabriel muttered
Not long after he saw the alarm beside him and it was still midnight. Instantly he tried to close his eyes again as soon as he finished drinking the glass of water that was on the table near the alarm. his face covered in cold sweat made it difficult for him to close his eyes again until finally he had to take a melatonin tablet to put him to sleep. In the blink of an eye he drifted off to sleep and returned to dreamland. As soon as he closed his eyes he now returned to when he was a child where he was just a helpless child and thus made himself friendless. There he was just pensive seeing the others playing happily and he was the only one who felt uncomfortable with the situation that made him lock himself in a library.
Children his age at that time were busy spending time playing with their friends and they had a happy smile on their face. The little Gabriel who felt no need for the fun and didn't fit in with what they were doing and just sat there reading a book in the library. Not long after he came out of there and was about to join them in the art room, accidentally his hands were covered in blood and instantly made everyone panic. Those in the art room then screamed and went outside before the teacher finally came over to him.
“Aghhhhhhhhh” shouted a child
"What happened? Why are you screaming hysterically like that?” said a teacher he looked very worried and soon someone pointed towards the art room and there Gabriel was. The teacher is none other than Mrs. Lila then came into the room.
“Gabriel, are you all right?” said Mrs. Lila drew closer to Gabriel and as soon as she saw Gabriel covered in blood she was shocked and immediately screamed.
“Aghhhhh”
Mrs. Lila made the other teachers come over to her and then they took Gabriel to the counseling room. They were all panicked by what had just happened and kept making the atmosphere even more chaotic. After Gabriel was in the counseling room at a mental hospital in the city the doctor said that there was no sign of psychopathology in him and immediately assumed that it was just red paint he was holding and leaking. Hearing what the doctor said immediately made the teachers not believe it because it was clearly not paint. As soon as the hospital provided further information, they finally believed it and immediately brought Gabriel back.
“Don't worry what you're seeing isn't entirely true and again it's just paint. Not real blood," said the psychiatrist to Mrs. Lila and also Mr. Moris
"Impossible. I saw it myself…”
"You're wrong," said the doctor, handing him a document of laboratory test results
"Okay. I am sorry. Gabriel, let's go back."
The blood splatter that looked real but was just an illusion seemed to give a definite answer to all of them and immediately believed it. Gabriel, who was still in the second grade of elementary school, made him feel the sharp stares from his friends because he joked unnaturally and scared them all and it didn't last long because one day later he immediately left the school. Just as he was moving, a male student was declared dead when he fell from the stairs on the 3rd floor of his school. Those who learn that the child did not die on the day Gabriel moved in make them suspect that the boy was trying to save him but reality changed him. The conclusions they expressed were not as expected because they were immediately closed in order to hide the school's mistakes and to maintain the school's good reputation so that everything was silent.
"Don't worry from now on you won't be going to school there anymore," said Thomas
"Yes uncle."
"Just let them say whatever they want. You don't have to respond. Understand?"
"Of course uncle."
"Good. You're a good boy."
The next day when Gabriel woke up from his sleep, unexpectedly, the clock was already 7 in the morning and he was still sleepy. How could he not hear the alarm sound. When Gabriel got out of bed and headed to the bathroom he was reminded of the dream and made him wonder even more why he had such a dream. His head was feeling dizzy now he had to forget about it and start living the day as usual. After bathing he immediately got ready and then had breakfast. Seeing him alone in his house instantly made him feel comfortable because there was no noise that made him lose his peace.
As soon as he finished with breakfast then he went to campus. on his way there he met Sera and they chatted while heading to class. Not only that, it seems Gabriel has now begun to open up to the world. His previous self was only filled with antisocial desires and even if needed he would only carry out small amounts of activity. Gabriel who was now in good condition didn't make Sera feel intimidated by being around him.
“Gabie, did you sleep well?”
"No."
"Why? What do you think?"
"No. Anything."
"Usually if you have trouble sleeping there's something wrong with you. For example you think too much about something or you stay up a lot and it disturbs your sleep cycle.”
"Already know. You don't have to explain it like that."
"I'm sorry that you seem to have a problem."
"There's a problem or not it won't change anything."
"Oh yes. Looks like you still don't remember, huh."
"What do you mean?"
“I guess....”
"Sera there you are. Come on, they're already waiting for you," said Sera's friend who suddenly called her so Sera didn't finish her conversation with Gabriel.
"Ah yes, wait a minute," said Sera to her friend
Gabriel who was now alone walked to his class and when he got there he already felt the atmosphere that made it difficult for him to breathe. Gabriel sat in his chair and he soon yawned a sign that he was still sleepy and lazy to go through the day that made him feel bored. The class started as soon as the professor entered and then started today's lecture. Right in the class room of the sculpture department, they were busy showing off the works made by their group, and Sera's group was no exception.
“Wow that's great. how did you get that kind of inspiration?” asked one of Sera's friends named Lami
“Actually I had time to come to an art gallery. Even though it's not a big exhibition and it's enough for me to get a reference," said Sera with a beautiful smile
“You guys are lucky to be in the same group as Seraphine.”
"Right. if it weren't for Seraphine I don't think his work would be this good.”
"Hey! Watch your mouth. You talk without using your brain. You hurt them you know," Lami said in an angry tone
"Yeah yeah it was just a joke."
"Are you crazy? How could that be called a joke? It's impolite," said Lami
"Eh, never mind friends. It's not good to fight," said Seraphine
"Go away. You just make the atmosphere uncomfortable," said one of Sera's friends, Dasom. He is a member of Sera's group along with Polli, who has been silent all this time because he doesn't want to be provoked by his friend's ugly mouth.
"That's what they are," said Lami
"Come on," said Sera
A small debate that occurred made the whole class look at them and it turned out that after they finished they immediately returned to their respective activities. The uncomfortable atmosphere created by the two people made those who were there seemed awkward for a moment and only looked at Sera's group with a look like telling them a real sneer with no exception to the two of them who had been humiliated by Lami a long time ago.
"Do not listen to them. Dont think about it. They're just jealous of you," said Lami, calming the three of them down.
"Who's listening to them anyway," said Polli
"Good."
The class was warm again besides that the professor finally came and the class started immediately. Everyone has a different perspective from one another even though it sometimes causes discomfort between one another. Sera who saw the atmosphere returned to normal then she took a deep breath and then smiled as usual without any problems on her face and today's class for her went well until she went home. Previously she barely had a smile on her face and there was only a hint of helplessness.

Creativity that sharpens clarity is genius.” I put this first because it's the most important tip you can take from this list. If you do nothing more than write clearly, you're going to be in the top 10% of all writers. Don't try to sound impressive, just try to be clear.

The writing is actually good, unlike most of the novel in this app it has great grammar, not my type of book since it's a crime genre but i recommend it to those who likes that type of book.
