Kaizer breathed a sigh of relief after Lauren spoke. He thought something was going on with her.
Instead of talking to Lauren to talk about the company, Kaizer shifted his attention to Jason. However, Jason stood quietly at the side and just waited for his boss's order. 
"Prepare the food," Kaizer commands.
Kaizer held Lauren’s hand and then guided her to the dining area. He pulls a chair and lets Lauren sit there. 
She couldn't grasp what was happening. It felt that the information was still loading in her head. 
She remains speechless.
While Lauren troubles herself about the information she finds out about the man. Kaizer who was in the opposite seat was just quietly reading the documents. Even in front of the meal he was still busy doing some work, Lauren thought.
“Anyway, who’s that girl earlier?” she curiously asks Kaizer. For sure she had the right to know who the woman was earlier. Somehow she had a part in what was happening.
Kaizer looked up. He looked at Lauren for a second before answering her question. 
“Claudia Wilson.” He replied shortly. After that, he returned his attention to what he was reading.
Lauren just nodded. Thinking about where she heard that name. But Lauren's attention was immediately diverted when she saw the food being prepared.
‘Waaah~ All of it looks delicious’ 
The nervousness and fear she was feeling a while ago disappeared in a blink. All she could think of was food. Especially seafood that looks so expensive.
"Thank you for the food!" Lauren delightedly said.
Kaizer put aside the documents and secretly smiled when he saw her eat the food. She has a good appetite and eats like a child. Even her eyes twinkle upon seeing the food. She doesn’t care what she looks like while eating.
"Don’t you like the food? It’s delicious, I swear!" Lauren commented upon seeing that the man was only looking at her and not eating his food. He just holds his cutlery.
"Don't mind me. Just continue eating."
Lauren shrugged her shoulders. "Okay... if you said so."

After eating a lot, Lauren was so full. You can see the satisfaction on her face. It seems that she’s able to sleep soundly later.
After the staff put away the dishes and cleaned the table, Lauren thought her work there was done and she could rest. Yes, it was just a kind of work for her.
“Let's go.” Kaizer briefly said.
Lauren looked at Kaizer in surprise.
Confused about what she would need to do. It looks like the man let her finish her meal so she couldn't refuse what was going on afterward. What was she going to do? Is it because she didn’t immediately recognize him and she almost didn’t help him?
Lauren quietly followed Kaizer even though a lot of things were running through her mind at that time.
When Lauren sees Kaizer sitting down on the sofa, she doesn’t know if she would be sitting as well or if she would just keep standing there. Anxiousness envelops her. She wants to bid goodbye to the man so she can escape and also because she might be taking his time, but she did not know how to begin what she was going to say.
Before she could say anything or say goodbye to him, she noticed a couple of desserts were carefully placed on the center table.
‘Food is my weakness. Do you intend to bait me with that?’
                          
“Come on, take a seat. Don’t just stand there or else your legs would have sore muscles later.” Kaizer gestured for her to sit down when he looked up and see that Lauren was still standing. He was reviewing some documents that Jason gave to him just now that needed his approval.
“Do we still have something to talk about?”
Kaizer stopped reading. He put down the documents and then straighten his back. He seriously looked at Lauren as if they were about to discuss some business matters. She felt even more nervous.
“Your name.”
“Huh?" Lauren confusingly asks. She even blinked after hearing what Kaizer said.
What did her name have to do with what they were talking about?
It was only a matter of seconds before she realized what he meant.
“Ah! You mean, what’s my name?"
The man just nodded in response to what Lauren had said.
“Lauren. I'm Lauren Garcia.”
“Well then Miss Garcia, I want to ask… what you want in return for the help you’ve given me a while ago.”
“Let me be your girlfriend.” Lauren frankly stated.
Kaizer was frozen in his seat at her sudden answer.
He doesn’t know how to react out of shock. But before Kaizer could recover Lauren suddenly laughed out loud which shocked him for the second time around. 
“HAHAHAHA! Sorry, it’s been so long since I laughed like this. Hahahaha, wooooh! I’m really sorry.” Lauren almost burst into tears due to laughing.
Finally, the feeling of nervousness was gone. Kaizer won't be angry with what she did, right? She’s only joking and just relieving the stress and nervousness she’s feeling.
Lauren fanned herself using her hand while calming herself because she might not be able to control herself and laugh again. She couldn't hold her laughter after seeing Kaizer's reaction. Lauren could see on Kaizer's face that his world seemed to explode like a bomb after he heard the phrase 'let me be your girlfriend'.
“W-what?” Kaizer asked, who seemed to have not yet recovered from what had happened.
Lauren calmed herself first and turned her gaze to another side. She almost burst out laughing again when she saw Jason's facial expression. You would have thought that he saw a ghost. It seems he froze in his position while looking at Lauren.
She turned to face Kaizer and to clarify everything.
“I'm sorry. It’s only a joke… I’m just kidding. You look so serious that it makes me nervous. And don't take it seriously, alright?”
Kaizer breathed a sigh of relief, and so did Jason. It was as if a thorn had been removed from their chest when Lauren said it was a joke.
“Then, what do you want? You can tell me anything as long as I have the power to give you that.”
“Nothing. You treat me to a meal and that's enough for me.”
“Pardon?”
Kaizer thought he had just misheard it. Who wants to refuse such a deal? She can have anything within his reach, she just needs to say it. If she hadn’t said that her response earlier was just a joke, he would really believe it.
Now, he's sure that what he heard was right when she speaks again.
“I mean what I said. I want nothing. I helped you before, you treated me to a meal after. You treated me fairly, so that's enough for me. Another thing I liked was that you treated me well after helping you. Other people will definitely pass everything on to their assistant or staff afterward. Or maybe they were going to give some money in return. I’m not like that. I don’t help people just because of money, because I can earn it too. ” Lauren explained while smiling.
Over the long time that she served her stepmother and sister, she was content with small things. That no matter how big or small the things she received in return or when she didn't receive anything, that’s enough for her. The important thing is she did everything she could to help. But her patience and perseverance are not unlimited. There were still times when she wanted to give up. That's why she wanted to leave her family and live alone.
“I'm sorry.”
Somehow, Kaizer felt guilty about what she said because he almost does something stupid. He doesn't want to be indebted to anyone. That’s why he treats her like she was someone special when the truth is, he just wants to return the favor.
“Don't say sorry. None of us wants this situation to happen. Besides, I like the meal. It was even the best meal I ever had in this lifetime. About what happened earlier, just treat it like a fleeting moment. A scene that needs to happen.”
Silence envelops both of them.
Lauren decided to break that silence. “If we don't have anything to talk about, can I leave? I want to rest early, well I'm already sleepy.”
Lauren stood up and was about to leave when Kaizer spoke. She thought he would never speak and only waited for her to leave his place because he had been silent for some time now.
“At least allow me to send you off.”
“Is that all? No problem.”
Since they were in the central part of the ship and her cabin was still upstairs, Lauren felt like they had walked for hours, plus the silence between them.
When they reached the front of her room, she stopped walking and faced the man.
She smiled while looking at him. “Thank you for the meal, Mr. Alvarez, and… for accompanying me until here.”
“No problem. We still have some days here on the ship. Who knows? We may bump into each other again.”
“It's not entirely impossible. Well then, I hope you have a good night!”
He just nodded before leaving. When Kaizer got away, Lauren went inside.
She was dazed when she sat in bed. After processing everything that happened... in a snap, the drowsiness and tiredness she felt earlier faded away. If earlier the bed seems to want to drag her body, now she doesn't know what to do to fall asleep right away.
