A simple and romantic dinner welcomed the two after entering Kaizer’s room’s balcony. Lauren could only shake her head and smile while looking at the decoration on the balcony.
“Aren’t you being too competitive?” Lauren teasingly commented about the setup of the table. 
Earlier, while walking on their way to the cabin suite, Lauren suddenly remembered the dinner arrangement they talked about. She didn't doll herself up and just keep it simple because she thought that they would only have dinner at the dining hall or in one of the restaurants on the cruise ship. 
That's why she did not expect this kind of setup. Never in her life has she experienced the things in front of her right now. Who would take a risk to do that for her… right?
One more thing, she doesn't have that much leisure time to spend on such things. She is too busy thinking about how her life is gonna survive every day.
However, like any other girl, Lauren also wanted to experience romantic things with the one she loves. She thought it would just be a lifelong dream. Who would have predicted that one day that dream will come true, what she didn't expect was that the person who made that dream happen… is a person she just met.
Now, it seems that fate has a different plan for her and ever since she met Kaizer, all she could feel was happiness and peacefulness.
“It’s the only thing I could do with my creativity. Your energy is unbelievable and I am no match for that, and it seems you didn't feel tired after all those recreational activities we had on the cruise ship these days." Kaizer explained. He even pointed at himself. “See, I’m already exhausted but here you are, still in full spirit.” Kaizer teasingly remarks. 
Lauren could only roll her eyes after hearing his explanation.
“Who do you think enjoys the most between us? Just by looking at your face, it is easy to say that you enjoy everything the most.” Lauren teases.
Kaizer chuckled and instead of refuting what she said, he walked towards the table and pulled a chair from it. He offered his hand to her.
Lauren gladly takes his hand. Kaizer waited for her to sit comfortably before he went to the chair across from her to sit.
The dinner table is dressed with flowers and candles. Although the candles were made from plastic and battery-operated, the mood was still romantic.  There are also flowers and fairy lights on the wall. 
Dinner starts with an appetizer, a creamy chicken soup, and a crab cake. Alongside it, the attendant brings two glasses of water, an empty wine glass, and a bottle of red wine.
Her eyes suddenly shine as soon as she sees the wine. The night will be perfect with it.
Before the attendant could open the bottle of wine, Kaizer stopped him.
“Change it. Just bring fruit juice instead of that wine.” Kaizer seriously commanded. 
He forgot to tell Jason not to prepare any alcoholic drinks for the dinner tonight. He was careful about the beverages they will drink ever since Lauren got drunk at the party last time. 
He’s careful not to drink or buy any alcoholic drinks around her.
It's not that he forbids the woman from drinking, but in Lauren's case, he just worried about what Lauren could possibly think or do once she got drunk again. He just wants to be careful. Kaizer is only doing it for Lauren's sake, especially since she seems to be going through some personal problems. 
“Hey, you! Put it down.” Lauren said with a hint of threat in her voice to the attendant but her gaze was focused on Kaizer.
“If you drink just a little bit of it, I will make sure that you will be the one who’s paying for that whole bottle of wine.” 
Lauren rolled her eyes at his remarks. Can't she just enjoy her last day trip on the cruise ship? Surely after her vacation, she won't have time to relax for a long time. And instead of getting a day off, she might die from stress not only from her work but, due to the fact that she has a stressful family. There's too much for her to handle.
“What a stingy and killjoy person. It’s the last day of this trip and there you are… preventing me from drinking. It is just wine, I won't get drunk from that.” Lauren rebutted annoyingly.
“Coming from the person who looks devastated after drinking a few glasses of wine at the party,” Kaizer commented sarcastically.
Lauren put all the annoyance she was feeling into the food. The good thing was it was only an appetizer because if meat was in front of her right now… you wouldn't recognize it anymore. It will look like a double dead - a slice of disgusting ground pork - because of her annoyance.
If Kaizer was eating quietly in front of her, where you would think he was shooting a commercial for the way he eats. Lauren was the opposite of it. She already lost her appetite.
The attendant doesn't know whom he will follow. That's the time Jason interfered and took the bottle of wine from the attendant. 
“I'll take care of it,” Jason whispered to the attendant. The attendant quickly left in fear of being implicated with the tension forming around the couple. 
"It would have been nice to eat if there was wine to go with it," she whispered but everyone heard it.
Jason knows that Lauren says it aloud on purpose so that his boss would hear it. Because of the silence, you would think that it was a business meeting and they were forced to eat dinner together. Even the expression on their faces was distorted. 
Lauren fiercely glared at Kaizer then turned her face to look at the bottle that Jason was holding. 
Jason thought, if ever the two would end up together, he was not sure if the result would be a good thing. Just now wherein they didn't have a relationship, they are like dogs and cats. No one wants to step down. Both have high pride. 
Jason who was ready and excited to share what was happening right now with Mrs. Alvarez because he knew that she would be happy hearing it, are having second thought right now.
He did prepare a romantic dinner but it feels like he went to war because of the two.
“Jason,” Kaizer calls his name and anyone can sense from the tone of Kaizer’s voice that it’s a warning for Jason. Wherein if he doesn't follow his command, there’s a consequence that Jason needs to face. 
Kaizer looks at the woman in front of him who seems down and irritated at the same time. It should be a happy and relaxing dinner for them, so why does it turn out like this?
He wanted to take back his command. But it would look like he’s not serious about his decision. Why can't he be firm with her?
Kaizer takes a deep breath first. A few seconds passed before he spoke.  
“Alright. Put it down.”
Jason quickly put down the bottle on the table after hearing what his boss said. He even opened it in fear that his boss might change his decision.
Kaizer took the bottle and poured some wine into their glass.
Lauren's face suddenly brightened up. Her appetite suddenly came back. 
Kaizer shakes his head after seeing her reaction. Moody… Kaizer thought. 
Lauren was easy to annoy but she was also easy to please. He also noticed that the girl becomes like that when the conversation is about food.
“Oh, your soul came back? I thought I’m eating with a robot earlier.” Kaizer teased her.
“So funny, ha-ha-ha.” Lauren refuted sarcastically. She even does a fake laugh. 
In no time, the atmosphere went back to normal. It seems that their argument earlier did not happen.
“Setting aside and forgetting what just happened, I hope that you will enjoy tonight’s dinner.”
“I’m enjoying it, just don’t ruin the atmosphere again.”  
“Hey… I said forget it.” 
Lauren giggles at Kaizer's reaction. 
After eating the appetizer and the main course, the time has come. Lauren's much-awaited dessert!
The attendant carefully placed the desserts on the table. There is strawberry mousse, a chocolate melting cake, chocolate souffle, and fried cheesecake. 
Kaizer makes sure that there are a variety of desserts for her. In a short time together, he finds that Lauren enjoys dessert the most. Especially chocolate and cheesecake.
Lauren was too focused on eating desserts and she didn't even notice that Kaizer doesn't touch any of them. 
“You don't like the flavor?” Lauren innocently asks. 
She noticed that the flavor of the dessert was mostly chocolate. She suddenly remembered Nicole, like her, she also likes sweets, it's just that... she prefers vanilla or coffee flavor.
“I’m good, don't worry,” he replied. He’s not fond of eating sweets. 
He still eats sweets but not like the one in front of him now. Just by looking at it, he already felt a tingling sensation in his teeth because of the sweets.
Lauren wouldn't agree that she would be the only one to taste it. She took some fried cheesecake and placed it in front of Kaizer to feed him.
Kaizer suddenly gulped. He didn't want to refuse the food but he didn't want to eat it either.
“My hand is getting numb,” she stated. Kaizer could do nothing but eat the dessert in front of him.
Lauren laughed at Kaizer's reaction after eating the cheesecake. He was obviously forced to do it. 
Haaa~ The satisfaction she’s feeling right now.
“Are you that happy?” Kaizer asked after swallowing the food completely. Fortunately, it’s not that sweet.
“Isn’t it obvious?” Lauren remarks while eating the chocolate souffle. “You know, you can refuse. It’s obvious that you don’t like eating sweets.”
“Because I don’t have the heart to refuse your action,” he said while extending his hands to wipe the food near her lips.
Lauren froze for a moment because of his action. There was warmth and gentleness in him that made her heart melt away. 
Lauren hopes this moment will last. That when they meet again, it wouldn’t feel as if they were meeting for the first time. Because thinking that they were going back to being strangers, it seemed that her heart can’t handle it.
