The meeting between Mary's parents and the principal got chaotic. Mary's parents were unusually dramatic. But soon the case was settled. Mary had a feeling that Chrysolite might probably be in the swimming hall, so she went there. "Like I'd guessed," Mary said immediately as she sighted Chrysolite by the pool. Chrysolite quickly pulled her feet out from the water, stood up, and created a distance from the pool. "I'm only here cause of how you hit me in class." Mary chuckled. Chrysolite laughed. "So, you went looking for me because of that?" "Of course. I'm not that girl anymore who everyone ridicules." Mary said as she moved closer to Chrysolite. "Don't come any closer," Chrysolite warned, "don't come any closer. I'm not ready to fight you." Chrysolite shifted backwards trying to avoid Mary. "You're the one who should move away, avoid my wrath, beg for mercy. You know that you're allergic to the pool." Chrysolite kept on moving backward until her legs got to the extreme edge of the pool. Mary stopped before her, looked down at Chrysolite's necklace then yanked it off her neck. Luckily, the necklace didn't break off. "I have always wondered who gave you such a beautiful necklace." Mary looked down at the multicolored beaded necklace in her hand. Chrysolite didn't even attempt to retrieve her necklace. "I'm lucky." Chrysolite smiled at her, moving sideways to avoid the pool but Mary stopped her. "Sorry Chrysolite. This is now mine." Mary grinned, pocketed the lovely ancestral necklace then pushed Chrysolite into the pool. ******* Sardius suddenly yelped out in pain as he felt his chest burn fiercely. He was in the laboratory performing a chemistry test. He turned to Michael to see if he also felt the same. Michael looked perfectly fine, he smiled back at Sardius when Sardius looked at him. "What's wrong?" Michael asked. "Nothing. I just felt uneasy, that's all." Sardius took off his hand gloves, his Google, and his lab suit. "Where are you going?" Michael asked as Sardius took permission to leave the lab. "Well to the restroom. I'll be back soon." Sardius didn't want to say where he was going. Then he asked his friend again. "Where are Ashley and Jasmine?" "They are in the music class. Is there any problem?" Michael asked again. "No." ****** Mary left immediately Chrysolite fell into the pool. At first, she watched Chrysolite as she struggled desperately in the pool. Mary became scared, out of fear she could do nothing but leave. She couldn't swim, so she left poor Chrysolite to drown in the pool. ******* Sardius knew instantly that something was wrong, he felt it. Chrysolite. Could it be her? But she was wearing her necklace, was she not? Why would he be affected by some strange intuition? He went straight to the and saw not even the lights. The hall was dark which was unusual. Slowly, he walked to the pool and cast his eyes on it. There in the poor, colors danced as Chrysolite began to take form. His throat was in his mouth as he watched. His senses went numb. Her legs transformed into a beautiful red tail. He hasn't seen anything like it in his entire life. He stood numb from moving and scared to his bones. What if someone walked into the swimming hall? He must do something, does she even know what's happening to her? The necklace! Wasn't she wearing it? How come? He took his stance and then jumped into the pool even in his uniform. As he got closer to Chrysolite, he couldn't but wonder how stunning and extraordinary she was. Her hair shone fiercely like the color of her tail. He slightly touched her to check if she was wearing her necklace, but it wasn't there. He then brought her out of the water, her body was quite stiff. Nothing was happening. Her body remained the same way he had pulled her from the pool. Half human, half fish. Then, the necklace was the only way she could transition back to a human. Where was her necklace? He had not the slightest idea. He noticed that her upper body had a sort of camisole that was almost the color of her milky skin. He couldn't even think of something as his head began to storm. What would he do to her? He had tried resuscitating her over and over but nothing was happening. Should he hide her in case someone was to walk in? The colors from her hair and tail were obscuring the rays of light coming into the room. The lights from her could easily give her away, he must hide her. He tried to pull her up, then dragged her by her hands into the locker room. In the corner of the room, there was a gigantic cupboard where other swimming equipment was kept. He wondered if she would fit in it, he removed all the equipment from the cupboard and then pushed Chrysolite into it. He must find her necklace and everything will return to its former position. While coming out of the swimming hall, he collided with Michael by the door. Sardius's heart jumped out of his chest. "What are you doing here?" Sardius asked, trying his best composture. "I should be asking you that. You said you were going to the restroom, look how damped you are." Michael looked down at Sardius's wet uniform. Sardius swallowed as a thought flickered through his mind. "I came to check on Chrysolite." He said. "So, where is she?" Michael tried to walk in but Sardius held back his arm. "She's not here." He said to Michael. Michael scoffed looking down at how Sardius had grabbed his arm. "What do you mean "she's not here?" "She wants to be alone so she went ....home." Michael laughed, disbelieving that at once. "Stop playing with me Sardius." Michael pushed him aside and then walked into the hall. The hall was quiet, the rays from the sun had crept into the hall already. He checked the pool, but nothing. But why was Sardius suddenly drenched in water? Something was off. "Where is she?" Michael asked again as he faced his friend. "I don't know." Sardius tried to avoid his friend's eyes. Michael suddenly grabbed his friend by the collar, pulling him in to look at him. "How can you not know? Don't lie to me Sardius." Michael's eyes blazed. "It was only a suggestion. But I'm sure she's home now. Just cut this act, Michael. You need to find her and she's not here." Sardius acted cool. "You think this is an act?" Michael pushed his friend backwards roughly then turned away. Michael still didn't ask why Sardius's uniform was damped, all he cared about was Chrysolite. ******* Ashley glanced at Mary and then stopped to look at her again. She was holding a necklace which did not belong to her. Jasmine noticed how Ashley was looking at Mary. "What's wrong Ashley?" Jasmine watched her friend's countenance. "That necklace." She pointed at Mary. "It belongs to Chrysolite." Jasmine gasped. "Yes, it's true. How come it's in her custody?" Ashley didn't even wait to reply to her friend. She walked up to Mary at once, and when Mary saw them coming towards her, she hid the necklace in her unzipped bag. "That necklace, is it yours?" Ashley asked. "What necklace?" Mary feigned ignorance. Other students stopped to watch them. "Bring it out, let all eyes see what you have done," Ashley said. "I have nothing on me!" Mary yelled out. "Let her be." Cheryl the tiny girl said to Ashley. "No, I won't. Check for yourself." Ashley yanked Mary's bag aggressively and then threw it at Cheryl. Cheryl had no choice but to check Mary's school bag. Mary kept on screaming to have her school bag. When Cheryl brought out Chrysolite's necklace, the rest of the students gasped. "This doesn't belong to you," Cheryl said to Mary. Ashley took it from Paula's hand as the rest of the students began to insult Mary. "You'll never change. Once a thief, always a thief." Ashley said then walked out of the classroom.
