Marcus had been wrongfully accussed by Harris Fashion house. The news was in the papers yet Onyx knew they were all lies. She trusted her husband, she believed in him. Marcus returned home cause of the stigma which had greatly affected him. What he didn't know was how his daughter, Chrysolite was also affected by it too. Mary stood at the front of the class, throwing jabbs at Chrysolite, mocking her likewise. "My uncle is Harris and he's married to the nation's famous model who was once a model at Marcus's fashion industry." Mary started with one of her lies again. "Shut up Mary. You're always selling fake stories." Mary-Jane tried to shut her up. She had grown to admire Chrysolite and her clique and she was by far ready to defend them. "Don't try to shut me up Marie-Janie. You're as well as dumb as her." Mary pouted her mouth at her. Mary-Jane returned a gnarl but Mary ignored her, continuing with her tales. "Class, you might as well know that my uncle, Harris exposed Chrysolite's father's secret." "Tell us." Some of the students wanted to know. The rest who might have heard the news went about their business like they didn't care. Chrysolite on the other hand refused to fall victim to one of Mary's pranks but Ashley stopped her friend from doing a silly thing to Mary. "Is it true?" Jasmine whispered to her friends, curiosity plaguing her. "What? Don't tell me you'll believe that wrench?" Ashley was furious as well. "I haven't heard about it but she said that it's in the news." The curiosity was clearly eating out Jasmine. "Be quiet Jasmine. What is wrong with you too?" "Go on, tell us!" The class roared after Mary had asked if she should go on with the news. "As you all know, my aunt exposed Marcus's dirty acts. He tried to win Matia back if she leaves my uncle." "Ok, and how does that matter?" Someone asked. "Just listen to me, ok?" Mary asked then continued with her story. "At one time, my aunt was working with Chrysolite's dad, there were temptations. He lured her several times but my aunt was very story. She wouldn't budge. Out of anger, he put Yvonne in my aunt's place which threatened my aunty." "Oh that's too cruel." A girl shouted and glanced sadly at Chrysolite who was bemused at such a news. "How did your aunt get to know Harris?" Another student asked. "She was already engaged to Harris. He was furious when he heard of this from my aunt. Justice for Matia!!" Mary yelled out. "Yes! Justice for Matia!" A boy cried out defensively. "I didn't think Chrysolite's dad can be so bad. All he cares about is his randy lifestyle which shows that he doesn't regard his family. No wonders he never show up for Chrysolite." "Who cares! Now the the world has seen him for who he is!" Mary shouted. Mary-Jane stood up and threw a pen at Mary. It hit Mary-Jane's nose while the former walked up to her. "You have no right to judge other people." Mary-Jane said to her. "Really? And who are you? Weren't you one of my bullys in the time past?" Mary shot out a bobbled fist to warn Mary-Jane. "Stop defending the people that will never place you as their friend. And stop crossing the line." Mary pushed back the other shoulder, daring her into a fight. The whole class cheered on, urging them into a fight. Ashley had to stand and yelled for them to stop. "You act like you know all Mary. That's why you're like this, always a deceit and a con. Stop trying to hurt other people, you know nothing about this. So, keep your mouth shut." Ashley said out to her face. "I'm not a deceit. The whole class agreed to Chrysolite's dad being a jerk." Mary said on. Chrysolite slammed her desk with both of her fists then walked towards Mary in anger. "Say that again." "Your. Dad. Is. A. Jerk." Mary repeated, taking a stop at every word. Chrysolite reached out to her and struck Mary's face with one of her hand. Ashley suddenly felt alerted and pulled back her friend to avoid a further scene. "Listen to me Mary! You think you're always smart that you'll always get your lies to whoever cares to listen. Your lies would definitely be the end of you." Chrysolite tried to push Ashley away who kept on blocking her path. "Chrysolite, your dad was wrong. Stop trying to prove a point. Mary is right, your dad is truly a jerk." Cheryl who was so tiny said in defense of Mary. Chrysolite stared at Cheryl dumbfounded, the class was surely in support of Mary the fat pig. She looked around at the rest of her classmates faces. Then back at Jasmine and Ashley. They didn't even know what to say. If this was truly in the news, Mary could be right afterall. "My parents will come to school today and I suppose other parents as well. This issue wouldn't be thrown to the bin. The fact that you are the daughter of such a fellow wouldn't fit well with other parents." Mary ridiculed with a scornful look. Chrysolite's throat suddenly felt sour, was this true? Was there going to be a parents forum just for her father's act? Her eyes began to sting, tears pooled at the sides of her eyes. She shouldn't believe this, they were lies told by Mary, her one time best friend. She shouldn't believe it even if her friends might believe it. She took a step back, swallowed painfully then raced out of the classroom. Ashley and Jasmine watched her go, as Ashley tried to follow her, a teacher walked into the classroom at that exact time. ******** Chrysolite cried out for what she thought was foolish. This wasn't suppose to happen. She had gone to her usual spot by the pool, that was where she found solace. She knew that she felt at peace by the pool, a sort of connection made her at peace there. She wanted more. And so, she pulled off her socks, her shoes, wiped the fallen tears away from her eyes. ******** Chrysolite didn't return to the classroom. Ashley told Michael and Sardius what had happened and they both wanted to see her. "I believe she wants to be alone." Ashley told them. "But it's been a long time since she left the classroom. You even attested to that." Michael put in. Jasmine didn't know what to say. She felt indifferent about the whole thing. She knew she didn't like Chrysolite. Chrysolite had everything, the most astounding looks, Michael's heart, everyone's care and respect.......although the respect was slowly diminishing because of her father. "She'll be out soon." Ashley said. "You haven't even seen her since then?" Michael was so concerned. "It hasn't been so long." Jasmine put in quickly throwing in a smile at Michael. "We should see her at least. Something can be done about this, I'm sure." Michael insisted. "What can you do? Can you believe Mary's parents are already in school because of this! What can we do?" Jasmine asked already irritated at Michael's insistence. "We can help Chrysolite." Michael repeated looking over at Jasmine. "Nonsense! We can do nothing. So are we trying to fool?" Jasmine asked irritatedly. Ashley turned to look at Jasmine in surprise. " Why are you talking like this?" "What?" Jasmine didn't see anything with what she said. "Why are you against us from helping Chrysolite?" Michael asked fixing her a mean stare. "I'm not against it. I'm only stating the obvious. It's the truth." Jasmine's voice shook as it rose higher in pitch Sardius looked over at Jasmine. Something was off about her yet he knew she was stating the obvious. "She's right." Sardius put in. "Let's just wait and see how the meeting with Mary's parents and the principal unfolds. For now, let's reach out to Chrysolite." Sardius said.
