While Charlie was unconscious, a mysterious black 2021 Grand Cherokee Jeep went through the fence and the group Draugrs that surrounded Charlie and Chester. A familiar figure stepped out of the jeep, with a massive gun in his hands, the Draugrs that were not run down by his Jeep turned their attention to him and tried attacking him but unfortunately for them, he used his gun and swiftly blasted all their heads off their bodies.
“ Hey kid, we meet again” The person said as he walked out from the darkness and stood in front of his Jeep, the light coming from the headlight of his Jeep shone on him revealing his face.
“ Officer Jones?” Chester mumbled, he stared at his gun for a while and smiled.
“ Cool AK-47 rifle you've got there” Chester said.
“ yeah, thanks, anyway, more of them will be approaching soon take your sister and let's go” Officer Jones said and Chester nodded.
Chester shook Charlie vigorously trying to wake her up, Charlie opened her eyes' that fucking bastard he didn't tell me anything , when I see him again I will …' she thought as she clenched her fist.
“ Charlie, we have to go now, ” Chester said. ' to where? And where are the draugrs we were facing earlier? What happened while I was unconscious' she thought. Chester grabbed her arm and pulled her up.
“ Officer Jones saved us, ” Chester said, Charlie nodded and scanned officer Jones for a while' he isn't a draugr, but how? ' She thought. Chester and Charlie entered the Jeep while Officer Jones entered and sat at the driver's seat then drove off.
“ I know a clear path, you guys will be safe” Officer Jones said.
“ Thanks” they both said
“ Hey, but how did you know we were alive and in trouble” Chester asked staring at him.
“ I remembered you guys weren't originally from this town because I have never seen you before, plus I just had to save you guys since you're both stuck here like me”
Officer Jones replied.
“ Stuck?” Chester asked, with a confused expression on his face.
“ Yes, I got an email saying I have been moved to Holm city station one year ago, during that period I realized that this city wasn't meant to exist, and I also found out that it's cursed no one can leave and ones he or she has entered. Anyway these things are called…”
“ Draugrs we know,” Chester and Charlie replied sharply, interrupting Officer Jones.
“ Seems you guys made your research,” Officer Jones said with a slight chuckle.
“ They are part of the curse that's why the people of this city all transform into them, the period they transform is called the Hell Stound and anyone who sets foot into this town during the Hell Stound period will be ” Officer Jones said again.
“ Yeah! we know, we understand, anyway you had another officer with you, where is he ?” Charlie asked.
“ Officer Jason is dead, I couldn't save him, he's situation was just like mine, he got an email to work here as a new intern” He replied with a gloomy expression on his face. ' He must have transformed' Charlie thought.
“ Hmm, sorry it's not your fault, you had to survive” Charlie said trying to cheer Officer Jones up, but it didn't really work.
“ It's alright, kid” he replied.
“I noticed something though, the bullet you shot at those draugrs it killed them instantly, what's your secret?” Chester asked.
“ I found out their weakness and that is fire or any kind of light, cutting their heads off, silver and iron. Although iron and silver would only slow it down, not kill it. So I used silver bullets instead of lead bullets. Since silver only slows them down , My best way of killing them is using the silver bullets is to blast their heads off multiple times” Officer Jones said with a proud smile.
“ That's a really clever method” Chester said, and Officer Jones nodded and said“ what do you expect from a cool police officer like me ”, Chester looked at him for a while, shook his head and looked away with a displeased look on his face.
“ Are there any other survivors apart from you?” Charlie asked.
“ None” Officer Jones replied as he shook his head.
“ Have you at least checked?” Charlie asked again, and Officer Jones shook his head slowly. Charlie and Chester both sighed simultaneously.
“ I highly doubt there will be any survivors like me,” Officer Jones replied sharply.
“ *chuckles* oh! Really ?” Chester asked as a smirk formed on his lips.
“ What? ” Officer Jones replied with a confused expression on his face.
“ Don't you know? Humans will do almost anything and everything to survive,” Chester replied.
“ So there are some who are trying to survive just like me” Officer Jones mumbled. All of a sudden, Charlie's eyes turned white and black veins began to show from her neck to her cheeks.
' Huh? What is it now? are there any Draugrs nearby? ' She thought, but to her surprise an image of the Holm city's hotel popped up in her mind. When the image disappeared, Charlie turned back to normal.
“ I think we have to go to Holm city's hotel” Charlie said
“ And why do we have to go there? ” Officer Jones asked, Charlie ignored him and tapped Chester's shoulder.
“ It showed me the Holm city's hotel, there most be something there or someone” Charlie whispered to Chester, and he nodded, Officer Jones who heard their conversation was confused, so he asked,“ I'm sorry, excuse me, what do you mean by it showed you? ”
“ We will explain later, let's just go to the hotel now,” Chester and Charlie replied simultaneously. It occurred again and this time it showed Charlie what was occurring inside the building, the first group of kids she saw were running down the hallway one of them holding a fire extinguisher, the second group were in a room one of them had a bottle of vodka in their hands and the last two were also in a room. She could also see a lot of Draugrs in the building, and that's where the images stopped showing,' I recognize those high schoolers' Charlie thought.
“ Sir, we have to go there now, there are some high schoolers stuck in the building, and it's full of Draugrs” Charlie yelled.
“ Kid! How are you so sure of that? ” Officer Jones asked, obviously he didn't believe what Charlie was saying.
“ Why would she lie to you at a time like this?!! ” Chester said, Officer Jones looked at him for a while and sighed.
“ Alright, let's go,” Officer Jones said as he drove off the clear path. The next path he took had a lot of Draugrs on it.
“ Here take my rifle, make sure you aim at the neck” Officer Jones said as he handed Chester his rifle. Chester took it and began to fire at every one of them, some tried to enter through Officer Jones side of the window, Chester fired at it, and they all fell, one jumped on the roof of their vehicle.
“ Shit! there's one on the roof” Officer Jones said.
“ I'm going up” Charlie said.
“ Huh! No way, I will just try to shake it off,” officer Jones yelled. He then attempted to shake it off, but the Draugr didn't let go and more were coming from behind.
“ Shit” Officer Jones cursed, Charlie rushed to wind down the window on her right and slowly brought half of her body out of the car. She transformed into her half form, grabbed the head of the draugr and pulled it off its body, then she climbed to the top.
“ Why the hell did she go up there? ” Officer Jones asked with a shocked expression on his face.
“ No need to worry about her, just drive carefully” Chester said, Officer Jones was still shocked and most of all, confused, but he decided to go with the flow and not ask any questions anymore as he continued to drive.
