Owen looked around and noticed all the draugrs had paused. Charlie stood before him while backing him.
“ I don't know what must have transpired between you, Annie and Maddie but look you don't have to blame yourself. Don't you ever wish to die thinking it will make that person happy because I'm pretty sure it won't? You did nothing wrong dude Annie is the one who needs to stop being too immature about this matter and apologize ” Charlie said with a faint smile on her face. Owen stared at her with tears in his eyes.
“ I understand, I already went through your memory when I touched you, I didn't really see everything but … I understand, I know what it's like to hate on someone for no peculiar reason, I made that mistake,” Charlie said, ' and now because of that hatred I have a draugr spirit living in me, ' she thought.
“ I don't want Annie to end up like me,” Charlie said as she pulled Owen up and continued, “ run, I will take care of them ”.
“ you look hurt, I don't think you should… ” Owen said,
“ just go, I can only freeze them for a minute, time's almost up! ” Charlie yelled
“ thank you,” Owen said, nodded with a smile and ran. Charlie cracked her knuckles as she unfroze time, her nose was still bleeding but she didn't care.
“ Time to clear all these disgusting weeds,” Charlie said with a smirk.

Maddie turned to face Annie and asked, “ you left your only brother to die?”
“ yeah so? What are you going to do about it? ” Annie replied. Maddie's eyes widened and yelled, “ I get why you hate me but do you have to hate your brother?! ”
“*sighs* don't yell at me like that, I have every right to hate him, okay, how dare he gives all his sisterly affection to you a freaking nobody, I'm his sister, not you,” Annie yelled.
“ you're just being immature and selfish,” Maddie said, Annie glared at Maddie as black veins appeared around her neck and her eyes turned white. Suddenly Maddie began to float in the air and for some reason, she couldn't breathe.
“ oh my God,” Elvis exclaimed.
“ put her down Annie ” Dante yelled.
“ When did Annie become part draugr? ” Kayla mumbled.
“ Annie just stop this and put her down ” Seon Hye ordered but Annie ignored it.
“ you're hurting her” Maya yelled as Maddie struggled to breathe.
“ telekinesis, great, just great another huge problem ” Officer Jones mumbled.
“ shut up! ” Annie screamed as a great force pushed everyone to the wall and ground, it even closed the convenience store door.
“ Now y'all can keep your fucking mouths shut, no one listens to me but now everyone will” Annie yelled.
“ ouch! ” Dante exclaimed as he massaged his head, the others winced and tried to get on their feet.
“ you don't have to do this Annie,” Maya said, Annie scowled at her and said, “ shut up and go back to the ground ”, before they could stand they were pulled to the ground.
“ what the fuck? ” Kayla said trying to stand up or at least move it she couldn't, none of them could it was like their knees were glued to the ground.
“ holy shit! ” Dante mumbled.
Annie smiled as she watched them struggle. ' how are you feeling now ' A voice asked.
' I feel immense pleasure and satisfaction ' she replied.
“ Now I can get rid of you and become Owen's favourite sister again,” Annie said to Maddie
' no you're not ' it said.
' what? ' Annie asked.
' that is not what we agreed on or did you forget ' it asked
' what? I'm pretty sure you told me you would help me ' Annie replied and it chuckled.
“ I lied, since you signed the contract, I now have full control over your body,” it said.
“ what? ” Annie mumbled to herself. Something odd began to happen to her, her body was in excruciating pain as her skin became paler, instead of white eyes it turned completely black and the veins around her neck spread to her face, hands and legs.
“ what the hell just happened? ” Officer Jones mumbled.
“ I think she just went full Draugr” Dante replied.
“Ah! Finally” it mumbled.' this new host of mine is full of hate, anger and envy, just what I need '
“ oh no,” they mumbled simultaneously.
She stared at all of them then at Maddie who still couldn't breathe.
“I'm to kill this one first right? ” She asked with an eerie smile on her face, “ *laughs maniacally* who am I kidding let's kill all of them ”
That's when Owen arrived, his eyes widened, he saw Maddie floating on air struggling to breathe and his mates pinned to the ground.
“ Annie, what's going on? What are you doing? ” Owen asked. Her back facing him as he walked closer to her
“ hey, Owen stays away from her, ”Kayla warned. Owen didn't listen he finally arrived and reached to touch her shoulder but he didn't he paused his hands in the air and pulled back.
“ Annie what is this Let them go,” Owen said
She replied using Annie's voice, “ Owen my dearest brother, you're finally here”
“ Annie let Maddie and the rest of them go ” Owen ordered, struggling to stop his shaking hand. He continued, “ look at me ”
She turned to face him. Owen gulped, he couldn't look at Annie's eyes directly, he covered his mouth and looked away. ' ugh that smell, when did she become a draugr' he thought, then he recalled what Charlie said to him.
“ I don't want Annie to end up like me”
' does hatred make one transform into a Draugr, but why's hers different from Charlie's ' he pondered.
“ What? are you disgusted by my new look? ” She asked as she tilted her head. Owen shook his head and turned to face her slowly, he could see her quite clearly, he could only see her face. Her lips spread widely into a creepy grin. ' don't be scared, it's still Annie' he thought, He gulped again and closed his eyes as he inhaled sharply and exhaled.
He opened his eyes and stared at her, eye to eye,
“ why are you doing this? It's not necessary, killing Maddie or any of them will change anything, you can kill me instead only me
“ And why should I kill only you ” She replied but this time, the inner voice and Annie's voice spoke at the same time.
“ I haven't been honest with you ” he stuttered, she chuckled and said “ what do you mean? ”
“actually … I … I wanted a new sister, I was the one who made my parents adopt Maddie,” Owen said and Annie's brows furrowed. Maddie glanced at Owen as tears shimmered in her eyes.
“ what is he saying? ” Dante mumbled as he struggled to stand, “ we have to find a way to help Owen, he doesn't know what he is doing that thing isn't his sister anymore, and I'm pretty sure that thing isn't going to let us go and it's going to kill us ”
“ so it's all my fault let Maddie and the rest of them go ” Owen added.
“ so how are we going to help him, we are stuck as well,” Maya asked, Kayla, glanced at Maddie and noticed the tears fall from her eyes at the same time she was losing consciousness, “ we don't have time, Maddie isn't breathing ”
“ Maddie doesn't worry we will try our best to save you, ” Dante whispered to Maddie.
“ I will try moving closer to the door,” Chester said, he struggled to pull himself up but the force pushed him down.
' shit it's not working ' he cursed.
“ hmm you want me to let them go,” she asked and Owen nodded.
“ hmm let's bring this one down first,” she said and Owen's face brightened.
“ you shouldn't be too excited, I didn't say I was going to bring her down in a normal way, ” She beamed, Owen's face went grim as he realizes what she meant. She moved Maddie's half-conscious body further into the air.
“ hey no! ” Owen yelled
“ do you think you can save her in time, *laughs maniacally* this is for trying to replace me with her ” She yelled.
