"Mommy, are fairies real?" The mom sighed, laying down next to him as she looked towards the ceiling. "Fairies are real....they just prefer to be in hiding" Sean was always curious about the world. Especially in things that are drawn or written in books. Although, every time he asks someone they shrug him off and give a short answer or brush him off. He believes the world is special as well as the people in it but he's just wondering why their hiding their true self. As an example, there was a time when Sean was babysit by his dear uncle Troy. Uncle Troy loves indulging Sean and Sean loved him the same. They spend pleasant times together, they played games, watch movies and even roleplay. But Sean hates how is uncle is never true to himself. Despite being so young, Sean is able to understand human emotions. He can tell whether their in a bad mood or a good one. Each time uncle Troy came over he seems much more haggard than the day before. All this is due to his so called girlfriend. His girlfriend, we'll name her T. So, T likes being adventurous and looks more of fun then emotional support or being intimate with someone. She travels to many places and is rarely sticking around. She's more of a free bird and I suppose uncle Troy is the opposite of what she is. Now what did Sean do after witnessing this back and forth? He confronted his uncle. Although confronting seems harsh, it was more like he talked with him in his own way. Sean used the stories and roleplays they had done before as an example. He didn't want to put his uncle on the spot so he thought of this creative idea. And it worked. Uncle Troy is quite grateful to Sean but he never said anything and just left. He left forever to who knows where and that made Sean upset. Ever since that day he became more closed off and denies talking to anyone. "....Okay...." Sean replied and yawned indicating he was about to sleep. Right then, the mother gets up and pecks his forehead and left the room. Sean closed his eyes and fell asleep soon after. The soft wind swooshed across, making his hair tickle his face. There were noises of birds chirping in the distance and a ray sunlight shining directly at him. "Mhmmm" Sean scrunched his eyebrows at the sudden heat on his face. He felt as though he had just closed his eyes and refused to believe it was already morning. But, a sudden loud thud in the distance made him wake up abruptly. He looked around him, nothing seemed familiar to him at all. He was surrounded by trees and he was exposed due to the light shining on him. It was as if he descended from the heavens. "H-hello?....Is someone there?" Sean heard rustling from the bushes nearby and how is he not scared? I would've got up and ran like nobodies business. A figure came out from it. To be more specific it was a woman? Sean wasn't familiar with her but he somehow did not feel any sense of fear. It was like when he spends time reading fairytale books, he was at peace. And the place his in, did not feel like when he was back at home or at his favorite toy store. The air felt much lighter and the scenery around them was abnormal yet pretty. It was like he was in a fairytale. The woman that came out had blonde hair with some blue strands in her hair. Her eyes glowed showing off her hazel eyes and she seemed to be shocked after looking at Sean. "What....how? Who might you be?" Sean was skeptical, he didn't want to reveal his name or anything about him since his parents weren't there. so he kept quite and just kept looking at her. The lady stood there waiting for an answer that never came. "Not much of a talker?" "Mommy said it's bad to talk to strangers" She paused for a moment before giving out a big laugh. Sean was confused at the reaction he had received but it's better than having a murderous lady out of nowhere. "W-why are you laughing?" "Well kid, your mom's not wrong but...how do I say this. You're really really far away from home kid" "What does that mean?" Sean had a million question going off in his head. What did she mean by it? The lady looks like the people he'd normally see around his area but the clothes she's wearing was different. An idea came to Sean's mind on the possibility that he could've been kidnapped. "You can call me Sanders, kid" "Sanders? That's your name?" Sean was perplexed upon hearing her name "I know it's bad but hey it's not good to judge people ya'know" "Sorry I wasn't thinking anything bad....it's just my first time hearing a name like yours" Sanders smiled warmly. She put away items she was holding into a magical pouch? It just took in a book that was twice it's size and it doesn't even seem full. Maybe like an infinite pouch? "How did it do that?" "Hmm?.....Oh you mean the pouch? It's magic kid, I'm not sure how I'd put it in words but it's like transferring all the things I put in here to an infinite space" Sean could not understand what she was trying to say but when he heard the word magic, he had an idea or two. Sean had started slowly giving into the lady and trusting her since she don't look like a bad person. Sanders had brought Sean to many different places. It was Sean's first time seeing something so mesmerizing that he felt as if he was on cloud nine. Giving into his excitement, Sanders seems to be having a tough time holding Sean back from wandering around too far. He always manages to slip from her grasp when he sees something. To the point, Sanders had to hold him under her arm and lift him off from the ground. The streets were busy and there were lots of things that could happen to someone who isn't familiar with this place and that's one thing they don't like. "So...what do you think kid? Pretty amazing huh?" "Does this mean magic is real?! And- and this place is real?! I'm not dreaming am I?" Sanders laughed her heart out. She brought Sean to one final place before they had to depart, unfortunately. "Here...take this" Sanders handed him a necklace with a small rock like shaped gem. It glowed a soft blue and green hue that matched Sean's blue eyes as well as her green eyes. It was hold together by a thin lining of silver. Sean wasn't familiar with the stone at all. "...What is this called?" "Riscarna. It's a high quality gem so consider yourself lucky kid. In the town we were in before believes that a higher being's love for his close ones caused him to make something more different and unique that's hard to get anywhere" Sanders eyes dropped for a moment as she explained. Her expression was sorrowful which was quickly replaced with her usual smile. "It's the kind of stone you give to someone you care for and it means we have a special relationship. So Sean, this stone is my gift for you" Sean was bewildered. He never expected to have received a gift from anyone else other than his uncle. He was grateful to what he had received. "Thank you, miss Sanders!" Sean got up and hugged Sanders, causing her to lose her footing for a moment before hugging him back. They talked about a few more things before it was finally time. "Hey kid, It's been fun being with you here...but I'm afraid it's time for you to go back home" "But...there's still so many places to go to!" "Don't worry Sean, I'm sure we'll have just the time to do that" Just like that Sean could hear Sanders voice fade away and the surroundings around him fading into darkness. A few minutes later, Sean woke up to the sound of his alarm clock. He was baffled, why didn't Sanders wanted him to stay with her. Why did she have to send him back? The necklace! "It's-it's gone....it's not with me anymore...." Sean was engulfed in sadness. He finally thought magic could be real in this world but in the end it turns out to be just a dream. He got up and took a shower and headed downstairs for breakfast. "Morning Sean! Here's your bowl of cereal with your favorite milk" Sean got to the table and took a seat, downing his cereal into his mouth. It was clear he was upset about something but his parents weren't sure of what but they knew what could cheer him up. "Hey Sean...we've got a little surprise for you today. So why don't you go dress into something more nice after this...yeah?" Sean nodded and pondered as to what the surprise could be. Once he was done with his meal, he headed back into his room to change when he heard a doorbell. He knew he's parents would answer the door so he took his time changing. As he headed down the stairs, he heard people talking but not just his parents. He looked up to see his one and only bestfriend, uncle Troy. He ran and leaped into his arms, hugging him tight. "Hey there buddy, I missed you too" While they bonded again, he heard an unfamiliar voice. It was a lady with brunette hair. Sean had never seen her before. The uncle had noticed and got up to formally introduce them. "Well buddy this lady over here is my girlfriend!" "The one you were talking about before?" "The very same!" The uncle laughed out, remembering their past memories and the hardships he had faced in which Sean had helped him through. "Hey there, I'm Tara and you must be Sean?" Sean nodded and took a hold of her hand shaking it in return. Sean, uncle Troy and Tara had gotten together talking about the adventures Tara went on. "There was even a time where she camped out under a sandstorm in the dessert! How cool is that!" "It was the only thing I could do at the time!" "You slept through a sandstorm?!" "Well it makes sense since you're related to the area" Tara laughed at uncle Troy's joke and shook him off. Sean was terrified of the stories Tara had shared with him. It made him wonder how she was still alive. I mean who lives after sleeping through a sandstorm!? "Goodness we almost forgot! Hold on I'll be back" Tara left to go grab something from their car. Uncle Troy continued their conversation about Tara's adventures that he accompanied on and it made Sean wonder how Tara was able to change his uncle so quickly. Within a few minutes Tara was back again with a gift in hand. Well it was christmas and it would be bad not to get a gift from his favorite uncle. "Here buddy this is a gift from the two of us. Although Tara personally handpicked them for you" Sean was confused, Tara had picked something for him? It was the first time they were meeting each other so that would mean the gift is the usual kinds of gifts like toy trucks and so on. "Go ahead and open it buddy" Sean tore the gift wrap and it unfolded a box. A brown box that looked like a treasure chest. Now, Sean was really curious about the gift and prayed it wasn't a toy truck. The box revealed to have a stone? No, a stone with blue and green hue. The exact stone and in the form of a necklace too. Sean was shocked, a million questions was going off in his head. "Buddy,.....you okay there?" "Y-yes very much. Thank you um very much for the necklace...." Sean had an idea but it could go south really soon if he was wrong about his intuition. Either ways he still figured it was better to give it a try. "...Thank you very much,.....Sanders" "You're welcome kid" Sean hurriedly ran up to her and hugged her, he felt all giddy inside. Which meant he's words were not true. Magic does exist in this world. While the two was having a heartfelt moment, uncle Troy made a really weird expression and it was priceless. In the end Sean was able to believe in magic again but at the same time spend time with his two favorite persons in the world... The End
