Crying last night, that's what Viona did. Remembering that her story with Dewa had to end without having a chance to start. But in the end Viona realized, no matter how long she cried... No matter how deep the regret she felt right now. Everything was useless... her tears would still not be able to turn back time, all there was was regret and misery. Last night Viona had convinced her heart. Her determination was firm to assume that she never knew Dewa. She would return to her old life, before she knew Dewa. With her eyes still swollen, Viona got up from her bed and dragged her heavy feet to the bathroom. "Why are your eyes swollen, Vio?" Her mother asked when she saw Viona entering the dining room. "Last night I watched a Korean drama, Mom, so this is how it is." She said with a smile on her face while her mother could only shake her head seeing her child's behavior. She knew very well how her only child behaved when she watched a Korean drama or read a novel, never stopping before the end. Not infrequently Viona lacks sleep because she has to read a novel or watch Korean Dramas in a marathon. Viona takes a position at the dining table and immediately finishes her fried rice with half-cooked eggs. "Next time when you watch, don't forget the time Vio, your eyes will swell. After school, go straight home to rest... Remember, you have a competition tonight, don't get too tired." Her mother's advice was only answered with a nod from Viona, because the girl's mouth was busy chewing her breakfast. It was impossible for Viona to be honest with her mother that last night she had cried because she was heartbroken because Dewa, Aunt Asih's son, had left her. She must have been lectured. Because Viona herself was not allowed to date yet. "I'm going now, Mom, Dad." Viona said after finishing her breakfast, not forgetting to grab her parents' hands to say goodbye. Only then did Viona get up and walk out to go to school. "I'm strong, just think of what happened the past few months as just a dream, or I was too lost in the Korean drama and novel I was reading." Viona said in a monologue, strengthening her heart. When she arrived at school, Viona felt that there were many eyes watching her. "Why is everything so strange?" She wondered. But when her footsteps were near the classroom door, Viona could see Dewa sitting with Hilda on a park bench. "Strong Viona.. You are strong..." She said in a monologue trying to give herself positive affirmation, when her eyes accidentally caught the two figures, Dewa and Hilda. Then the girl stepped back towards her classroom. A few moments later Andrew, Ronald and Dicky arrived, they glanced at Viona who was already sitting sweetly in her chair with a novel in her hand. The three boys threw questioning glances at each other through their eyes when they saw Viona looking normal even though they knew for sure that Viona actually had feelings for Dewa. "Are you okay?" Alya asked as she was about to sit in her chair which was right next to Viona. "What do you mean? What's wrong with me?" Viona replied with an innocent face. "That was Dewa...." Alya hung up her sentence when the bell rang and Andrew, Dicky and Ronald were now in the chairs in front of Viona. "It doesn't matter, there's never been anything between us." Viona smiled to reassure Alya. After that no one discussed or mentioned Dewa's name in front of Viona, as well as Andrew, Dicky and Ronald. They also no longer mention Dewa's name or discuss Dewa's relationship with Hilda in order to consider Viona's feelings. *** "Where are you going after this?" Gita asked while they were waiting for the bus at the school gate with Sari, Riska and Mia. "I'm going straight home to take a nap." "Aelah... Even a kid has to take a nap." Sari joked when she heard Viona's reason for going home early to take a nap. "Well how... Sleep is a necessity." Viona replied accompanied by her crisp laughter. Viona herself didn't want many people to know what her activities were outside of school, not because she was embarrassed. But more because she was lazy to explain to everyone about those activities, because not everyone could understand right away. "Really sleeping or crying?" Sari asked probingly. "Go to sleep... What are you crying about?" "Maybe because of a broken heart." Sari replied which was immediately agreed by Gita, Riska and Mia. but this time Viona no longer answered the girl just shrugged her shoulders slightly as an answer. A bus stopped right in front of them, Viona and Gita chose to sit in the front seats. When she looked out the window, Viona's gaze accidentally met Dewa's who was also staring at her deeply. The girl quickly turned her gaze away, afraid of getting too carried away in this situation that would make her heart waver again and hope more for Dewa. The bus drove at a moderate speed leaving the school gate. Throughout the journey, Viona's thoughts drifted back to the incident that had just happened. She felt that Dewa was still looking at her in the same way.
