Allie point of view. I remember my wedding day like it was yesterday. The pain of the rejection from my first mate still echoes through my head, even though he's not even an Alpha any more. My life has changed so much since then. I've had a completely new life with Alpha Giorgio Nichols, and now I'm living a new one again. But when I got married to my first Alpha, I was sure that we would have a happy life together, even though we were in a political match. I was the daughter of a wealthy family, one that was known across our lands for their wealth, power, and influence. My father was one of the richest Alphas, and he was determined to marry me off to another Alpha to make our families stronger. I was young, and naive. I was just 18 at the time, and had been taught by my family to obey them, to never go against their wishes. Even though I felt sick about it, I knew that if I didn’t go along with it then my father would kill me, and my mother, too. I had tried to escape once, but my father had caught me and had whipped me raw before forcing me to stay in my room for two weeks. He'd taken away my books and all of my clothes. I had been forced to live in a nightdress for the entire two weeks, and I'd barely been fed or allowed to see anyone but my parents. I'd been told that my father's security would be watching me, so I knew that if I tried to escape again that it would only lead to a worse fate. So when my father told me to go through with the marriage to my Alpha, I agreed. I met my Alpha at the wedding, and he was tall, muscular, and strong. His scent was so powerful that it filled the room, and I was forced to submit to him without even touching him. He didn’t even look at me. Instead, he looked around the room with a sneer on his face, looking like he owned the place. And he did. He was the son of one of the wealthiest families in our lands, too. And so his parents had arranged for the marriage as well. He grabbed my arm and pulled me down the aisle, not even looking at me. He didn’t even touch me when we got to the altar, but he put his hand out so that he could sign the marriage certificate. It wasn't until I was kneeling next to him that he finally looked at me. His eyes swept over me like he was disgusted, and he turned his head away. "What are you looking at?" He growled. I didn't answer him, knowing better. "Don't look at me again." I dropped my head in shame, feeling tears begin to prick at my eyes. He got up and began to walk away from me, not even waiting for the priest to bless our marriage. He walked away without me, and my father stepped forward to pull me up and grab me by my arm. "What the hell do you think you're doing, Allie?" He growled. "Get up!" I couldn’t make any sound, all of it stuck in my throat as I sobbed. I felt my father smack me across the head, and then he dragged me behind him. "Tell your daughter what she's done wrong," he snarled. The Alpha stopped and turned around, finally looking at me with anger. "You don’t look like you're a Omega." He snarled at me. I felt my stomach clench, and I fell to the floor at his feet. I cried and submitted to him, trying to keep the sobs from escaping. "Please," I whimpered. "I'm sorry." "You're not worth my time," he sneered. "You’re going to be a slave to me. I'll never touch you again. Do you understand?" "Yes, Alpha." I felt his foot lift me off the ground and I crawled to his feet, clinging to them. My father stayed quiet, and I knew that he was as angry as the Alpha. He'd be angry with me for embarrassing him. My ex Alpha left the room and my father pulled me up. "I'll get you out of here," he whispered. "I'll find another Alpha to take you." I nodded, feeling grateful that he would help me. I didn’t understand why the Alpha had rejected me, though. I’d been taught that I would be an Omega. I'd always had the scent of one, and everyone had told me that I would be a good one, too. It made no sense to me. My father took me home and then went to his office, telling me that he would be back later. He told me not to leave my room, but I felt like I'd died. I didn't care if he killed me. So I left my room and went down to the kitchen to find something to eat. My mother was there with a few of the Omegas, all of which were pregnant, and they were making food for the next meal. My mother looked at me in disgust, and so did the other Omegas. "Get out of here." She snarled, and I dropped to my knees to beg her not to be angry with me. One of the other Omegas stood up and came over to me, kicking me in the face. I cried out and submitted to her, and she forced me to the ground. "You’re worthless," she sneered. "If you can’t even be an Omega then how are you going to be good enough to be our daughter?" "I'm sorry, Mother," I cried. "I am an Omega. Please don't be angry." My mother came over and grabbed my hair, pulling me up by it. She slapped me across the face and then pushed me to the floor, forcing me to my hands and knees. "Clean up this mess you made," she snarled. "And then get out of here. You're lucky we don't kill you for what you've done." I cried and cleaned up the mess, not daring to look at any of them. I finished cleaning and then left, feeling so broken that I felt like I was going to shatter into a million pieces. My mother had never been like this before. I'd never seen her angry like this.
