Chapter 10. Stick to the Plan?

Chapter 10. Stick to the Plan?
Adam's eyes glared at the crowd of fans in front of the movie as he pointed out, "She was just like the woman in the hospital."
Lucky heard the boss's words and immediately looked in the direction that Adam's pointing. "Who, Boss?" Lucky asked.
Adam was forced to look the other way to explain his point to Lucky. "That's the one with the … T-shirt." Adam went back to the crowd, but the person he referred to disappeared or actually did not exist in the first place.
"A T-shirt? Many were wearing shirts, Boss," Lucky said.
Adam drew a deep breath and resumed, "Never mind, let's go."
There was a man in the restaurant who waved hello with a smile. "Mr. Hendra has arrived," Lucky said, who returned to the man with a nod. Adam did the same.
The table distance at the restaurant was over a meter. Adam walked earlier and was followed by Lucky. When they arrived, they shook hands with each other.
"Mr. Adam, thank you for responding to my invitation," said the man named Hendra.
"No problem, Mr. Hendra. I'm hungry too, aren't I?" Adam was laughing over both of them. Lucky only smiled at their small talk.
"Alone, Mr. Hendra?" Lucky asked.
"Actually, I'm here with my family for vacation. They were watching next door," Hendra said lightly.
"Why don't you come to the movies too, Sir? There's the meet and greet, you can see the artist," Lucky seduced.
"It's no longer my time for this, Mr. Lucky, chasing idols. It's better to spend time with Mr. Adam to discuss business. Right?" Hendra said.
It was exactly what Adam and Lucky predicted from the start. That lunch invitation had a different purpose.
"What a coincidence. Vacation in Samarinda," Adam said.
Hendra's facial expression was a little different, "Well, it's because the kids asked to. Their movie star idol held a premiere. Well, so we'll be on our way here," Hendra explained.
Adam captured Hendra's intent that did not want to be caught, and Adam chose to pretend otherwise. The ordered meal was served and they enjoyed the meal comfortably.
"How was Bali, Mr. Hendra?" Adam asked once.
"Please feel at ease Sir. You need not worry. Monthly report's never late, either, is it?" Hendra answered confidently.
"That's a must because it's not cheap," Adam replied. "It's been a few months, huh?" Adam asked by looking over at Lucky.
"Bali?" Lucky was counting in his mind. "On the way to the third month, Boss," he replied.
"Aw … still early. There must be an audit expected, isn't it?" Adam asked once again.
"Mr. Adam became very serious when it came to work, wasn't he?" Hendra said with an uneasy smile.
Adam laughed. "I am just following Mr. Hendra's mindset. You said it's better to discuss business even on holidays." Adam explained what he was saying.
"Indeed. For a guy at my age, just thinking about work. The responsibility grew," Hendra said.
Adam spooned a spoonful of food into his mouth. Chewed it up and swallowed it. With as friendly a face as possible, Adam once again asked Hendra, "So, what business shall we discuss, then, Mr. Hendra?" Adam asked.

"Well, you knew." Hendra stroked a side to his cheek because he got caught. "It is the citizens' housing tender. "Could MT group still get involved even if it wasn't the main vendor?" Hendra asked.
"The rules of the AS Corp were very clear when the Bali project was won by the MT group. Have you forgotten?" Adam reminded Hendra.
"Of course I haven't forgotten. It's just that we want to stay involved even if it's not primary. Like, as a provider of one of the ingredients outside the primary tender executive authority. We really appreciate it," Hendra said, trying to convince the man sitting in front of him.
"I think as long as the company doesn't open up a cooperative opportunity, we can handle ourselves," Adam replied.
"So if it's open do we have a chance?" Hendra put up a hopeful face.
"The decision about the ban on the Bali project came from the chairman. Even if it doesn't violate a clause in the contract, I think the answer from me won't make much difference," Adam explained.
After hearing Adam's words, Hendra nodded. "Fine. I understand what you meant. Oh, let's just order another dish," Hendra had finished their business conversation. Then he began to discuss what foods were considered to be avoided for health at his age when he was turning fifty. Lucky was good enough to take his part to start a conversation that was more casual and humorous.
When they brought it up, Adam suddenly became interested in the view outside the restaurant. There was a little boy running over a woman by accident. The popcorn box the boy was holding half fell out. It was fortunate the woman could catch the boy instantly so he did not fall to the floor. That was so close.
Adam recognized the woman's face. She's the woman who left him a piece of paper at the hospital. Unconsciously, one corner of his lips shot up. He smiled.
"Excuse me, I need to use the restroom," Hendra said.
"Lucky," Adam called.
"Yes, Boss," Lucky replied and moved closer to him.
"You have an assignment."
"I'm ready!"
Adam pointed to the window, precisely at a woman who unhesitantly collected the popcorn lying on the floor with her bare hands. Then she threw it into the trash can.
"Find out about her!" Adam commanded.
Seeing the shirt that woman's wear, Lucky knew what to do. The assistant simply nodded and left Adam alone there.
"Where's Mr. Lucky?" Hendra asked on his way back from the toilet.
"He had something to do," Adam replied.
After almost thirty minutes of waiting, Lucky returned to see Adam who was still sitting in the restaurant. He was on his own because Hendra had already left. Lucky handed his cell phone to the Boss.
"The temporary information I got, her name is Bianca. She could be the manager or management team of Indira Putri Sanjaya." Lucky pointed to the picture displayed on the screen of the phone. "A rising model. Indira also played in the film," he explained.
Lucky then used his index finger to shift the screen of his cell phone. "In the article, Indira was the daughter of the owner of Sanjaya construction," Adam's assistant continued.
"Sanjaya," Adam murmured to himself. Adam tapped his index finger on the table as though he were thinking. "Okay. You search more about her," Adam commanded.
"Who? Indira or her father?" Lucky asked for confirmation.
Adam threw a look of disbelief at what he heard, "Bianca!"
"Hahaha. I know, Boss. I was only joking," Lucky said, in laughter, trying to tease his boss. "And they would go on vacation to Beras Basah Island after the premiere." Lucky looked the boss in the eye. "Stick to the plan?" he continued.
Adam handed the phone back to its owner, laid his back to the chair and continued by a faint laugh from his lips. Adam caught a naughty idea from his assistant.
