Chapter 21. OSG
Chapter 21. OSG
The man with a firm face was momentarily stunned by Luna Maheswari's invitation, who seemed eager to familiarize herself with him. Adam concluded with a smile, "Sure. But I have to check my schedule for tomorrow. I'll let Vina tell you later. Okay?" There was no reason for Adam to refuse or be unfriendly to anyone's invitation, including Luna. He just would prioritize which was more important.
The rising artist's eyes sparkled with happiness. She spontaneously grabbed Adam's hand to express her gratitude. "Thanks, Adam. I'm really happy," she whispered with the sweetest smile.
Knock! Knock!
The door opened and revealed Hassan, who saw the sight of the boss's hand being held by the artist. "Oh, sorry to interrupt," Hassan said as he was about to close the door again, but Adam stopped him.
Luna immediately let go of Adam's hand and smiled awkwardly.
"Boss, do you want to do the meeting here or in the meeting room?" Hassan asked.
"Better there. Ask Vina to clean this up," Adam ordered, pointing to the table where his lunch was. "And well, is the finance department ready?" Adam asked to be sure.
"Mr. Devon is still on his way. So his representatives are present," Hassan explained.
Adam's serious face was clearly visible. "Devon's habit!" he hissed.
Luna, who heard Devon's name, immediately joined in the voice. " Devon works here too, doesn't he?" she asked.
However, it was not Adam who answered but Hassan. "Yes, Ma'am. Mr. Devon works as the head of finance here," he explained.
"Oh, I see," Luna muttered, nodding. "Then …." Before Luna could continue her words, Adam had cut her off.
"Ah, Hassan. Ask Vina to check my tomorrow schedule whether or not to have lunch outside with Luna. Later on, Vina would choose the location, which would be okay, right, Luna?" Adam asked, looking at Luna.
"Yeah, no problem. As long as I can have lunch with you. Anywhere is okay," Luna said.
Hassan seemed to be wearing a smile.
Adam who saw it immediately tapped Hassan's shoulder to invite him to the meeting room. "Okay, I leave first, Luna," he said goodbye to Luna.
"Okay, I also have to go back on set. I have a schedule to attend," Luna said.
Hassan gave Vina instructions before finally going after Adam to a room for meeting.
Luna deliberately returned to Vina's desk when the elevator door had not yet opened. "You're Vina, right?" Luna asked sweetly.
"Yes, Ma'am. I apologize for my rude attitude earlier," Adam's secretary said.
"Nah, don't be shy. I know that's your job, right?"
Vina nodded. "Even though I am really a big fan of you, Luna," Vina said.
Catching that good fact, Luna took advantage of the situation. "Is that true?"
"Yes, I followed your soap opera which was titled My Love in the Land of Vrindavan," Vina said.
"Thank you, Dear. That's also my favorite soap opera. Do you want a souvenir? We had a meet and greet last Sunday. Would you like to have it?" Luna offered.
"Yes, I want it. I really want it. So very kind of you," Vina exclaimed.
"Alright then. Tomorrow I'll bring it when ..." Luna whispered to Adam's new secretary. "Tomorrow I will come to have lunch with Adam. But that's even if Adam's schedule is empty, anyway!" Luna said.
Vina, who caught Luna's intention, thought she could not go any further than that. If she was reckless, it was called bribery, and she, as a newly appointed secretary, was not supposed to do that. The slightest mistake made will not have good consequences. However, Vina thought it was just a lunch appointment. As long as there are no appointments with clients it should be fine.
The young woman then took her small agenda and checked something there. She smiled, Adam's schedule was empty tomorrow afternoon. "Tomorrow, Mr. Adam's schedule is empty, Sis," she said to Luna.
Suddenly Luna smiled happily. "Good. And make sure it stays empty, okay? Please!" She asked, as friendly as possible. "Okay? Will ya?" she persuaded.
Vina was cornered this time. And just nodded. "Okay. See you tomorrow. Tomorrow I'll bring the souvenir." Then Luna left the tall building.
An hour later, Adam was in a high-rise building in Jakarta, whose five floors were already occupied by employees working for OSG, a mobile games company that was being started. In less than two months, OSG would be launching their newest flagship game, after years of research and experimentation. Meetings with confidants were in progress.
"We have come this far. I am the first person you want to impress, so I answer, yes, I am very impressed with all of your efforts from the beginning until today. What I see today with confidence will be able to reach the market easily. Thank you," Adam said to the dozens of people sitting with him in the room. "So for the important touch of publication, I myself will be directly escorting it. I don't want your hard work to end at a mediocre level. We have to penetrate the global market. Are you all ready for it?"
"Ready!" The rush of enthusiasm managed to change the atmosphere of the room, starting from clapping hands, whispering to each other, to the warm body temperature due to the adrenaline support that Adam managed to provoke from his short lecture. "But remember, we have to stay alert. The real war is just about to begin. Excessive euphoria will only make us negligent," Adam added.
Then one of them in the room raised his hand to interrupt. The room fell silent. "But, Sir, with such a high target, is it enough to invite Advance Advertising to handle our first project? They are fairly new to this business," he protested.
Adam was ready about this. There was indeed a small space in his head that had the same doubts. However, it was Adam's wish that the collaboration with Advance Advertising was opened. One of the main reasons, of course, was that Bianca, the mysterious woman, worked. Therefore, that man must have a good answer to silence those doubts, including for himself.
"Everyone in this room are also not all famous people or already known in this field, right? But it is certain that everyone in this room has talent that can raise OSG. Similar to Advance Advertising, their track record is very promising. And I believe my decision is right."
The room was quieter than before. Everyone was no longer whispering. Everyone was in dialogue with themselves. "So? Are my words not enough as a guarantee for you guys?" Adam asked confidently.
The twinkle in the eyes of everyone in the room was lifelike. They know how cold Adam's hand was able to support them from the first time they were recruited. No more doubted.
Then Adam's cell phone rangs. "Yes, Dad?" Adam said to Mr. Adyaksa.Download Novelah App
