Veera’s POV
After an hour of silent supper with Mr. Bo and the kids, i wipe the table and take the dirty dishes to the kitchen so the kids can wash them. While I was cleaning the table and after I ensured that the table was already clean. I decided to step outside to get some fresh air.
When I was already outdoors, I looked up at the sky, which was filled with stars tonight. It astounded me how many stars I can see right now, and how those stars shine so brightly in the sky that they illuminate our road every night.
"Do you like the view?" When Mr. Bo questioned me, I heard him approach me.
I didn't look at him, but instead continued to study the stars in the sky. "Yes, I truly appreciate the view," I said honestly, smiling.
“Hmm…. I still need my reward” Mr. Bo said all of sudden.
"Yes, rewar—wait, what reward are you talking about?" " I questioned, startled, as I finally looked at him.
He grinned at me, "Finally you turn to look at me," he said cheerfully.
I was taken aback by what I saw in his expression; I can't define it, but it made my heart skip a beat because of the way he looked at me right now. I can see how attractive this man is, and how much more attractive he is with Aji.
I suddenly jerked back to reality after a split second of being enthralled by his expression. " A-anyway, what did you mean by rewards? " I eventually questioned him as I gathered my thoughts.
“Reward for saying Thank you with that maid” he replied straight forward to me.
Huh?!
"Why do I need to reward you just because you said Thank you to someone? Thank you is not an obligation to earn a reward; it is an honest method of expressing that you value that person and appreciate what he has done for you," I responded to him.
“Okay, it is my fault, I am sorry” He said, understanding my point and apologizing for his mistake.
"It's okay, I'm glad you see my reasoning," I told him.
"That's why I'm going to ask for a reward for another reason," he explained.
“What?” I said in surprise.
Is he still looking for a reward? What sort of moron is this?
"Are you insane? Can you just forget about receiving a reward? " I reprimanded him.
"No, I want a prize for saving and paying off your brother's debt," he said promptly.
Eh??
"What will you do if I don't offer you a reward?" I inquired.
"Well, you'll pay the $1 billion I spent on that disgusting old guy," he said.
That is, however, extremely unjust!
"I know it's unjust, but I can't just do anything for you without getting something in return, right? So, what do you think of my offer? You don't need to pay me, just give me a simple reward that I desire, and your debt will be paid immediately," he explained.
Well, his offer is a little unjust since he is utilizing the debt I owed him, and he is also crafty in trapping me in his evil intentions for me. But even if the deal he made is nice and reasonable, I will never have an issue with the amount I owed him.
"OK, all right, I agree; what type of reward do you want from me, Mr. Bo?" " I surrendered and agreed to what he wanted.
He looked at me angrily and said, "I told you to call me Boon, Ven," reminding me to do so.
“Why would I call you that name when it was only the two of us though?” I asked in confusion.
He sighed in front of me, "Even though we're alone, you need to practice calling me like that in front of other people so that they don't suspect that I'm not your husband and that I'm only pretending for the time being," he stated.
He scored another point. "Fine, B-boon," I responded hesitantly.
"See, this is what I meant, they would quickly see that I am not your husband, so you really need to practice more to perfect calling me politely in front of them without becoming uneasy," he added again, pointing it out.
“Yeah, yeah, you don’t need to repeat saying it, so what is the reward you want from me?” I asked again, getting annoyed at him.
“I want you to hug me” He responded honestly.
Huh?
"Is it the type of reward you're looking for? That's easy! " I was ecstatic after learning what kind of reward he desired.
Because I was too excited, I stepped towards him quickly and hugged his body toward mine for a short period of time. After I hugged him I moved away from him with a big smile on my face.
“Now, I don’t have any debt towards you because I already hugged you-“ I didn’t finish what I was saying because he grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him.
He hugged my body, he put his head in my heart, and Mr. Bo hugged my body hard as he pushed his head farther into my chest; I was astonished, but I didn't object and simply let him do whatever he wanted. We stayed like that for more than an hour, and I figured he was already asleep because he didn't move or say anything to me.
"Hey, are you sleeping?" I murmured into his ear.
I tried poking his body to rouse him awake, but he didn't move; instead, the arms that were securely encircling my body had loosened their grip on my body, and his body became heavy.
"Boon, are you really asleep?! Wake up stupid, you're so heavy!" I cried at him, but he stayed asleep.
How am I going to move this hefty body by myself? He is too heavy to be carried to his sleeping quarters. I grasped his face to test whether he was truly asleep, and he was.
I can't help but put him to bed by myself. So I put his arm on my shoulder and supported his body as we gently walked back inside the house.
"Ah thank god, so heavy!" I grumbled as I finished placing Mr.Bo in the bottom section of the room downstairs, which is closer and the greatest spot to put a sleeping person.
"Goodnight, Mr.Bo," I said to him as I began to walk out from the room, but I was suddenly dragged into the bed with Mr.Bo, which shocked me, and I tried to get up from the bed, but Mr.Bo gripped my body again strongly, preventing me from getting up.
"D-don't leave..." Mr. Bo mumbled in his sleep as he hugged my body.
"Hey are you crazy?! Let go of my body. Boon this is not good that both of us share a bed!" I scold him as I try my best to remove his hold to my body.
"D-don't go, I need you please," Mr.Bo implored in an intense tone towards me, tightening his grip on me even more.
Who the hell is he dreaming about if he thinks I'm that person? I have no option but to wait for this cretin to let go of my body when He is already deeply asleep.
Bo's Pov
When I awoke from my slumber, the first thing I noticed was Veera's sleeping face in front of me. I'm not sure why she's alongside me and why I'm holding her right now. I believed I was dreaming, but then I recalled what had happened the night before.
When I requested boldly for a hug from her, she gave it to me swiftly, which irritated me since it was so rapid that I didn't appreciate it, so I drew her towards me and embraced her strongly while burying my face in her chest to feel her more.
I didn't realize I'd fallen asleep while cuddling her. I think I was exhausted after coming so far and dealing with the old man who threatened to harm Veera.
She would have been evicted from this residence if I hadn't arrived. And I still have to cope with my brother's two children. I can't believe my brother deceived his wife in this way by having another lady and children! I'm not going to forgive him.
But I'll deal with those kids and my brother's betrayal of his wife later. I was still staring at Veera's face when my phone rang, which irritated me since it disrupted what I was doing.
I was forced to look away from Veera's sleeping face in front of me and get out of bed to pick up my phone and take the call.
["This better be crucial or I'll kill you, what is it?!"] I threaten the person who is now calling me.
["So you're going to kill your own mother, son?" Mom answered on the other end of the phone line.
I almost dropped my phone when I realized it was mum who had called, but I stopped myself and quickly controlled myself ["Oh, mom, why did you call?"] I said, adjusting my tone.
["Did you already see your brother?"] she questioned directly.
["Mom, you need to know something about Aji," I said solemnly.
["What do you mean?!"] mum said in a panic, expecting bad news.
And it was then that I informed her about Aji's death and how he had another lady beside his wife and had children with her. What sort of Mistress had that brother been in relationships with.
["It's not real right now your brother is still alive! Even though your brother was a human, he possessed the blood of a vampire! That can't be!"] Mom said, unwilling to accept Aji had died.
["Mum, the kids are proof he's dead; why would he allow his kids return to the house if he's alive?"] I tried to persuade mom.
["NO! Please not my baby, how dare they kill him, aji is so beautiful and precious," Mom screamed over the phone.
Mom Aji isn't sweet; he's a jerk who cheated on his wife with another woman, I thought to myself.
Dad advised me to discontinue the conversation because he needed to soothe mum, who was still weeping. So I returned to the bed and continued to stare at Veera, who was still sleeping on it.
