Veera's POV
After inspecting the bathroom one more time, we headed downstairs to see if there was any more work to be done around the house. When we're already downstairs, I look for Mrs.Payne to see whether there's any more work for me to send to Mr.Bo, who was discreetly following me in my back.
"Mrs. Payne!" I exclaimed as I spotted her walking to the storage room.
Mrs.Payne turned to face us when she heard us and stopped walking to wait for us to approach her.
When we got to Mrs.Payne was standing, I immediately asked her, "Is there any more work to be done in the house, Mrs.Payne?"
"Oh, I'm going to the grocery shop to get some groceries," Mrs.Payne said.
"Ah, Mrs. Payne, Boon can grab the groceries for you," I told her.
Mrs.Payne smiles at Mr.Bo. "You will, Mr.Nacht? That will be a big assistance!" Mrs.Payne exclaimed cheerfully.
"Boon was particularly anxious about being left out of cleaning responsibilities today and begged for me to assign something he could do, and this will be a nice duty for him as a strong guy to use his muscle!" I added, smacking Mr.shoulder Bo's firmly while grinning.
"Really?" Mrs.Payne replied to the two of us. "You are very thoughtful, Mr.Nacht, and because you are so eager, let me grab my lengthy long list of items that you should get from the grocery shop."
She left us to grab the big list she said she had for Mr.Bo to buy at the grocery store in her room. Mr.Bo, I wish you luck with your shopping and hope you have a good time.
Mrs.Payne returned after a time with a very long list that she is holding in her hands.
"Here is the lengthy long list, make sure you purchase them all Mr.Nacht!" Mrs.Payne handed the long list to Mr.Bo, who looked surprised.
"Wait, this list is too lengthy! How come this paper is 3 pages long?" Mr.Bo said angrily.
"It has to be that long because we now have 5 people living in this house, and unlike when there were just two of us in the past, Me and Mrs.Nacht in this mansion, our list is only one page," Mrs.Payne remarked.
Mrs. Payne has a valid argument; in the past, there were only the two of us living in this house, and we were conserving our money since we didn't have enough money to cover our daily needs such as groceries, water bills, and power bills, among other things. Mrs.Paynes doesn't have steady work, the town was rude to me for Aji's departure, and they mock me for allowing Aji to leave me years ago. After all these years, I was pathetically waiting for my husband to return. Years of waiting for him to come to my side have taught me that he has betrayed me and has a kid with another lady!
When I have to put up with people who mock, blame, humiliate, and abuse me because I am stupid! Like when that time my....argh, never mind, let's go back to the present.
"Okay, I understand Mrs.Payne" Mr.Bo replied, understanding what Mrs.Payne had explained about our past circumstances before he had arrived at this mansion.
"Good, so you're going to be the one who pays for the groceries, right?" Mrs.Payne said, her eyes full with anticipation.
I tried not to chuckle at Mrs. Payne's eager expression towards Mr. Bo, who was staring at her with a complex expression in response to what he heard from Mrs. Payne.
" You're going to pay with your own money, right Boon?" I remarked to Mr.Bo. " I mean, you're part of the counting who's going to eat the meal and stuff like that."
I can see his look shift to a guilty one, which made me secretly smile because we had successfully forced him to pay for the groceries. I quietly congratulated Mrs.Payne on a job well done in making Mr. Bo pay for it. Mrs. Payne also returned my smile.
"Fine, I'll pay for it," he said resignedly.
"Good, you two go now to the grocery shop; there will be a lot of people coming in to buy things," Mrs.Payne replied.
"What do you mean by Two Mrs. Payne?" I question, bewildered.
"Ah, sorry, I want you to accompany Mr.Nacht to the grocery shop because I want you to make sure he gets the appropriate goods that are on the list that I gave him and also to keep him from buying the wrong products," Mr.Payne added.
"All right, Mrs.Payne, I understand, and I'll accompany him to the grocery shop today to prevent wasting money." I promised to join Mr.Bo to the grocery store today.
Before we headed to the grocery shop, I changed into nice and clean clothing to make my looks passable in public. When I was finished changing my clothing, I left my room and went downstairs, where I noticed Mr.Bo waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs.
"Are you ready already?" I asked him.
"Yeah"
"All right, let's get going, we have a lot of stuff to buy today," I replied to him as I began to go towards the door when something knocked into my body.
"Miss Veera, we want to go with you!" both children said to me, their puppy eyes twinkling.
"Where are you going?"
"To the grocery store!" they both said.
"Would you want to come with us?" I asked again, this time if they wanted to help us with the shopping.
"Yes, that's what we meant!" they said, as they gazed at me with glee.
"No, they shouldn't come to the grocery store with us, Veera," Mr. Bo said.
"Why?" we all asked at the same time.
"Those children will merely be a nuisance while we choose the items on the list," Mr.Bo stated.
"We guarantee that both of us will behave and will help look at the products on the list!" They both pledge to Mr.Bo" and it's the first time we'll go to a grocery store, since while we're still in the forest, it's usually dad and mum who go, for our protection, but we want to go out!" They both plead with us.
I understand why Aji didn't allow his children to accompany him outside the house since both AB and AC are so attractive that they may be stolen by those perverted individuals! Aside from their attractiveness, they will be endangered since they are also wolves.
"Mr.Bo, let us simply have the kids come to us, I know they'll be good and someone will help us carry all the goods we got when we get home," I tried to persuade Mr. Bo.
Mr.Bo groaned, "well, it's not my responsibility if those brats make trouble for us when we get to the store."
"We won't, we promise!" they say again in a cheerful tone.
Then we walked to the car outside the mansion and went inside.
