Chapter 12- sleeping

Veera's POV
After I had completed my own chores around the house, I decided to see how Mr. Bo was performing his own duty in the bathroom. When I arrived, Mr. Bo was nowhere to be seen. As a result, I decided to go upstairs. Maybe he's in there cleaning it, but before I walk upstairs, I check the bathroom to see whether Mr.Bo did a good job cleaning it, and I was pleasantly pleased since it's so clean that the entire bathroom shines. Because it is so clean, I can see my own reflection in the tiles.
After assuring that everything is already clean, I went upstairs to look for Mr.Bo in the last bathroom he will be cleaning today. As I opened the door to the bathroom I was welcomed by a sleepy man who was still standing, clutching a floor map and wearing soiled gloves. He's sitting on the sink and leaning against the bathroom wall.
I grin inside when I realize how exhausted Mr.Bo is after cleaning two bathrooms today. I went into the bathroom to see whether he did a good job cleaning it as he did downstairs, and I was not disappointed since it was just like the first bathroom he cleaned.
I chose to walk Mr.Bo since I could see how weary his position was and how he may collapse if Mr.Bo was truly asleep, so I took a step forward towards him to wake him up.
"Mr.Bo, wake up," I said as I nudged him in the shoulder to get him to wake up.
But he didn't wake up and kept sleeping, so I poke him in the shoulder again, this time considerably harder to get him to wake up.
"Mr.Bo!" I said, poking his shoulder for the third time.
But he didn't wake up, so I moved closer to his ears, ah you won't wake up, let's see if you won't be wide awake if I do this to you, "MR. BO THE HOUSE IS ON FIRE!" I yelled at his ears.
After hearing what I yelled in his ears, his body automatically rose up and his eyes blinked wide in shock and horror. Because I was so near to him, his reaction stunned me, and I took a step back, but the floor was slick. That's why my feet slipped and I landed on the floor. 'Am I going to die a horrible death?' ' I ask quietly to myself as I close my eyes and welcome the pain of falling to the floor.
What's the deal with it not being painful? Is this how people pass away? They aren't in agony while they die? That's awesome!
"Veera, are you all right?" Mr.Bo said, concerned.
Wait, why can I still hear him, huh, Mr. Bo is also no longer alive?! Are we both now united in heaven? However, I was the only one who slipped on the floor.
"Veera, you're still alive," Mr. Bo stated once again.
What does Mr.Bo mean when he says I'm still alive when it's obvious I'm not? He's in denial that he, too, is dead, and I understand how he feels, being confused and unable to face the truth that he, too, is dead. It's not good, but he should accept it because this is the only option for him to go forward.
"If you don't open your eyes, I'll kiss you," Mr.Bo threatened.
What the heck happened?! Because I was worried he would do it, I opened my eyes instantly, and there was a brilliant light that blinded me, causing my vision to blur, so I attempted to blink my eyes to make it clear and focus. After a split second, my vision returned to normal, and I saw Mr. Bo's disappointed expression in front of me.
"Finally you open your eyes, but are you so disgusted to be kissed by me for you to open your eyes so quickly?" Mr. Bo asked in relief, his voice tinged with sarcasm.
"Could you let go of my body now, Boon?" I said, ignoring his remark.
"Oh sorry," he said, releasing his hold on my body.
I took a decent stance in front of him and collected myself. I turn to face him, irritated.
"Why did you stand so fast! It surprised me that I slid from the floor, I nearly fell toward the floor!" I scolded Mr.Bo angrily.
"Well, who wouldn't stand that fast when someone just yelled in his ears that the house is on fire?" he retorted angrily.
He has a point, but I'm not going to apologize! It's one of my tactics of retaliation against him.
"Who was that someone? Let's scold that guy! He almost killed me!" I pretended not to know who it was.
"He escaped; we can't reprimand him or her," Mr.Bo added, disappointedly emphasizing the word "her."
I appeared to be perplexed and asked him, "Where would that person escape while I am here in front of you? What if it was a spirit playing a trick on you?"
He raised his eyebrows at me " Ghost?" He asked.
"Yes, a ghost, since I didn't see that person, and you're the only one who saw it," I reasoned, seeking to persuade him.
"Perhaps, but the ghost is a nasty prankster since he or she truly uses that bad scenario to make a sleeping person suffer a heart attack in shock," he said.
I felt awful for doing it to him. I know it's not a good idea to play a joke on someone who is sleeping. "True, that individual will stumble as a result of what he did!" I agreed and despised myself.
I just disregarded how he spoke the term "SHE" to me and sighed in front of him to hide my discomfort. "Anyway, are you done cleaning?!" I ask to shift the subject.
"Yes, as you can see, that person yelled at me when I was sleeping; I am finished and simply resting my exhausted body," he stated.
"Oh, it's ok, then let me check it," I told him.
"All right, go ahead and be careful, you could slip again," he replied, implying that I should be cautious when walking.
I simply nodded and pretended to investigate the bathroom, but I had previously seen and inspected it while he slept. When I was done checking we went back in front of the bathroom door looking at each other.
"OK, Mr.Bo, the room is thoroughly cleaned, congrats," I remarked, commenting on how beautifully he cleaned the bathroom.
He simply grinned at me with pleased eyes, "but that's not the only location you're going to clean," I continued.
His smile vanished automatically as he heard what I said. Well, I didn't actually say he will just clean the two bathrooms.
