Chapter 42: Wandering On The Sea

In just three more days, Erina will say goodbye to this place, take a flight to country B, and join a different pace of life.
Although last night, when Hubert allowed her to go out for a day and a night with her best friend Fayre, Henry had no objections, but this morning, as soon as she sat down at the table, she noticed that his complexion was very bad, listless, tired, and he only drank fruit juice.
“Are you not feeling well?” Hubert frowned at him.
“I'm just a little tired, don't worry.” Henry said softly.
“Later, tell Lucia to cook porridge for lunch.”
“Yes.”
Hearing them care about each other, Erina did not interfere. She was afraid that if she opened her mouth to ask, Hubert would change his mind and tell her not to go anymore and stay home to take care of his son.
After using Fayre as a cover for her dates with Clement many times and seeing that it worked well, Erina continued to use the same trick, asking her enthusiastic friend to pick her up to carry out the plan to go to the beach with her lover.
“Erina, be careful when you go to the beach. The other day, when I watched the news, I saw some people swimming far away and being swept away by the waves.” Hubert turned to Erina and reminded her kindly.
“Yes, we will only wade near the shore.” She answered politely.
After breakfast, Hubert rushed to the company, Erina also hurriedly went to her room to get her things. Only Henry sat there, picking up each noodle and chewing.
Because he witnessed Erina lie more than once, he knew clearly that today Fayre was only acting as a bridge to help her and Clement meet. However, he couldn't do anything else because his father had allowed her to fly freely for two years and forbade him to interfere.
Henry didn't want Hubert to think badly of his future daughter-in-law when he found out she lied to the whole family and was with another man.
So he had to convince himself to trust her good qualities. If he stood up and accused her now, it would only cause the relationship between the two sides to fall into a deadlock.
As the car carrying Hubert left, Fayre also arrived. Erina excitedly shouted when she saw her friend wearing a red designer outfit that matched the car's color.
“Oh my god, look at you, so cool.”
“Of course, if you wear this outfit, you will look very cheesy.” Fayre grinned.
Erina pretended to be sad, frowned, opened the car door, and sat in the passenger seat. Fayre continued to smile and drove away.
Recently, she has become a bridge for two lovers to meet. Although there are days when she is busy with personal matters, she always tries to arrange time whenever one of them asks for help. So, more than anyone, she hoped this love would have a happy ending, otherwise she would regret all her efforts.
When the car arrived at the meeting place, Fayre followed Erina out of the car and went to greet Clement before handing Erina to him.
“Long time no see, you look more and more calm, stylish, and handsome.” Fayre praised him with a sweet voice.
“Thank you, Fayre, thank you for the compliment and for bringing Erina here.” Clement sincerely spoke up and pulled Erina over to stand next to him.
A person doesn't need to have too many friends in life, just one good person to be a close friend is enough. For him, it's Ryder, and for Erina, it's Fayre. They have never refused to help him and her for any reason.
“Okay, you two should leave early. I have to go home. Wish you two have a good time.”
Fayre winked, secretly teasing Erina, causing her face to turn red. Seeing that Erina was about to turn into a tomato, Fayre laughed loudly, then got into the car and drove away.
The momentary joy quickly disappeared and Fayre's face suddenly became sad. Every time she saw a couple together, the bad memories of the past would reappear, reminding her of that night of indulgence.
She quickly wiped away her tears and sped up. She planned to stop by her apartment to sleep until the afternoon, then go shopping all day before returning home.
The poetic natural picture of the blue sea, white sand, and golden sunlight caught Erina's eyes, making Erina flutter. After checking in and putting away her things, she pulled Clement's hand and ran quickly to the smooth sand.
“Oh, my feet are burning, hurry up.”
Erina's voice was chirping like a little bird, making Clement extremely excited. When the blue water flowed past her feet, the cool feeling immediately soothed the heat from earlier.
The couple chased each other along the beach. Erina bent down and splashed seawater on Clement. He also joined her in the chaos. They had been in love for a long time, but this was the first time they had held hands and traveled properly.
After joking around, he took her to a rock to sit and look out to sea, watching the ships sparkling in the sunlight, bobbing to the rhythm of the waves.
Erina put her arms around him, leaning into his chest. The peaceful scene made them forget all worries about their future lives and immerse themselves in the vast space of the blue sea and sky.
“Erina, your skin is already tanned.” He gently stroked her arm, whispering.
“Don't worry, after a few weeks of skincare, my skin will whiten quickly.”
She replied softly, her eyes still dreamily looking ahead. The scent of sunlight, the smell of sea salt, and the masculine scent mixed on his body seemed to seduce her, making her not want to leave him. She kept leaning her head on his chest and hugging him tightly.
“Let's take a shower and then go eat. It's past lunchtime. The seafood here is very fresh. I guarantee you'll eat all five big crabs.”
“What? Are you planning to feed me only crab? I want to eat clams, mussels, snails, shrimp, fish, and squid.”  She pushed him away and said a long series of words.
“Okay. I'll buy it all for you. From now until evening, there will be enough time for a mortar named Erina to grind all that food.”
After saying that, Clement quickly jumped down from the rock and ran away. Erina chased after him, shouting. It seemed that the longer they loved each other, the more aggressively he teased her, no longer polite or reserved.
Because Clement and Erina both like to eat outside restaurants, he took her to a row of thatched huts close to the beach to choose seafood. After weighing them and getting the money, they would cook them and bring them to the table for him and her to eat while enjoying the view.
Everything was the same as before, Clement served wholeheartedly while Erina just enjoyed the food.
“Please eat too. When I finish eating these plates, you can peel the crab again.” She swallowed quickly and said.
“Let me peel a few more plates of crab and shrimp for you. After today, it will be two more years before I have the chance to take care of you.”
When he said this, he suddenly fell silent, bowed his head, and focused on the plate of shrimp. Erina knew he was sad. The two years were too short to erase Henry's feelings, but for him, the wait was too long, and so was hers.
“Clement, in the future you have to take care of me for the rest of your life. Every moment you relax, you should celebrate that moment.” She brought the naked shrimp to Clement's mouth, smiling mischievously.
At the same time, in the villa, Lucia and the maids kept standing in front of Henry's room, sighing. Their faces showed obvious worry.
This morning, after swallowing a few noodles, he went into his room and closed the door and until now he still hasn't eaten anything else.
Because Lucia kept calling, Henry reluctantly opened the door. Seeing his pale face and labored breathing, she was impatient and advised him to allow her to call a doctor to examine him.
“I'm not sick, I'm just too sleepy, I'll go down and find food myself when I'm hungry. Everyone, please don't call anymore.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he stepped back, closed the door tightly, then staggered to the bed and lay down.
Before Erina came back, he couldn't eat. He didn't know what she was doing now. Just imagining the couple happily eating together made his jealousy rise.
Henry lay still for several hours. When he glanced at the clock and saw it was two o'clock in the afternoon, his rich imagination began to take effect.
Erina asked his father to allow her to stay outside overnight. If so, when darkness surrounds everything, what will happen between the two of them?
Normally, there would be no problem, but at the moment of separation, people often lose their reason and let their emotions take over.
Thinking of that, Henry jumped up in panic, rushed out of the room, and ran straight down the stairs and into the kitchen.
Lucia was reheating the porridge in the kitchen. When she turned her head and saw him standing right behind her, she was extremely panicked, causing the pot lid in her hand to fall and spin a few times on the floor.
“Please call Erina quickly, and tell her that I have a very high fever, I don't eat or drink anything, I keep calling her name.”
Suddenly hearing his order, Lucia almost froze. She didn't know if the person standing here was the young master or not. How could he force an old woman to lie so blatantly?
“Hurry, ma'am, otherwise something bad will happen.” He jumped up and down, urging her continuously.
“Okay, okay.” Lucia replied while tremblingly putting her hand in her pocket and pulling out her phone.
After several unanswered calls, Henry and Lucia’s faces were as long as two bicycle pumps. He wobbled and sat down on the chair, biting his lips until they bled.
Looking at him like that, Lucia quickly consoled him and quickly composed a text message to send to Erina.
“Young master, don't worry, I've already sent a message to the mistress, she will come back soon when she reads it.” She spoke to reassure him.
