Maryam's POV
"Kareem I can't do this" I said as I turned, making my back to face him
"But why? Do you....do you still hate me?" He asked with a sad tone
"No! Of course not" I replied and turned to look at him,he was no more kneeling down 
"Then why don't you want to take me back?"
"Kareem I... It can't be possible " 
"Why can't it be? Because of the Shabsuma?"
"No!!!...why would you think of something like that?" I frowned
"Coz you're going out with him,and you seem to love him"
Oh! The jealous mode,I understand
"Kareem that's not it"
"Then what is it ?"
"You haven't moved on Kareem, Safeenah is still there in your heart,even if I forgive you now,what about her? You said you loved me..yes you might be right,you love me...but what about Safeenah? you loved her too. It won't be easy for you and for me,you can't love two women at the same time, it either you forget one and be with one"
"Can you forget Safeenah? Can you be with me without thinking about her? Can you-"
"Beautiful when I said I love you,I love you and I really mean it,I love you with all my heart,I'm willing to leave all my past  behind me and be with you,because you're my present and my future.. Please just give me a chance let me prove to you that you're the only woman I'll ever and forever love in my entire life"

"Maryam I won't force you to take me back. I'm sorry,it was so stupid of me to think that you'll take me back,I mean no woman in her right state of mind would want to come back to the house of a monster,I will just take my leave and-"
"NO!!!" I exclaimed
The thought of him leaving already is killing me. Yes I was stupid, I was stupid for thinking that he was nothing to me anymore when in fact he was my heartbeat, he was still the reason I'm still breathing up till date,I can never and ever love another man as Kareem,he's my everything
"No?" He asked back
"Yes....No.....I mean please don't....don't leave....I...I want you... I mean I'm ready to take back the ring...I'll....I'll be your wife again Kareem..I...I..I...."
Gosh! Why is it so hard to say? And here he is waiting patiently for me to finish
"I...I...lo...I love you My Hero" I finished. I couldn't bring my self to look him into his eyes. Three minute has passed and he never said anything
Did he change his mind already?
I looked up and saw him smiling at me like an idiot
"Hey! Are you OK?" I asked as I poke his chest a little
"Can you repeat it again?"
"What?"
"That sentence! I missed it so much, please repeat it"
"OK I take it back"
He scoop me up and hug me tightly "You don't know how happy I'm to hear this from you beautiful, thank you so much,I promise you,you won't ever regret saying yes to me,I'll love and cherish you with all my heart...thank you...thank you so much...thank you" he happily said as he keep hugging and kissing me
"Kareem please put me down " I begged
He obliged and said with all seriousness "I love you Maryam,I love you so much and I'll continue to do till my last breath,no matter what happens l keep fighting for our love,I won't leave you no matter what happens"
"Kareem are you sure? You're making me a promise"
"I promise you Maryam, I'll always stand by you no matter what...I love you so much"
"I love you too Kareem"
"So will you put this on?" He asked showing me my ring
"Of course " I nod smiling as he put it slowly on my finger
I looked at it and smile
"I missed this" I said truthfully
"I missed this too...your smile " he said and I blush
I can't believe that I'm here with Kareem. This is the happiest day of my life... Thank you for coming back to my life Kareem Abdulazeez
We sat down on the couch and gist, he can't stop repeating the line that he missed me a lot, and I also can't deny the fact that I miss him too
Should I ask him this question? I hope he won't get mad
"Kareem " I called 
"Uhmm" he answered while resting his head on my laps as I rub my hand on his soft hair
"Hafsa..." He opened his eyes all of a sudden
"Is...is there something-"
"No beautiful, there's nothing going on between us,what you saw that day was a mistake,I never intend for that to happen,please"
"But-"
"She was Safeenah's best friend, she also love me when we were in school,she told me her feelings then but I told her I can't coz I love her friend already. When  we graduated, Safeenah talk to me and asked me to help Hafsa secure a job,that's why she was working in my company nothing else...please believe me"
"I do" I replied smiling
"What about the smoking and drinking part?"
"Well...three month after you left, I kept thinking of so many things, I vividly remember that if I had listen to you,that incident wouldn't have happened. So I went for a therapist for 6months, and now Alhamdulillah I've stopped drinking and smoking
"Really?" 
"Yes beautiful"
After that we talk on so many things but it recalled to me that he might have not taken anything this evening
"Aren't you hungry? " I asked him
"No I'm not,I'm full with the fact that I'm here with you " 
"So....does that means you haven't taken dinner yet? "
"Yes beautiful "
"You just relax here, I'll go and prepare you something to eat"
"No don't go" he whined
Never knew my husband could be this funny? I've never seen this side of him before
"I don't want you to leave me"
I felt a pang on my chest just by him saying that sentence
"I won't leave you Kareem,I won't ever leave you I promise"
After so many begging and promising words,he finally let me go

"My Hero the food is ready " I called him
"OK I'm coming!" 
"You know your cooking is always the best" he said as I felt him slip his two hands on my side waist and enclose my body in his
"And this I missed it it" he said sniffing my hair
"Come on Kareem...you have to eat"
"OK fine.....so I called Mom and Dad and they said they will be back tomorrow morning"
"You called them?" I asked out of astonishment
"Yes..." He replied as he open the fridge and took two bottle of cold water
When did Kareem become close with my parent? This man won't stop to amaze me
"But how did you know? And what do you talk about?"
"Beautiful, it's a secret" he said as he wink
"I'm hungry already" he said and I glared at him
"What now? " he asked like a five year old boy asking his Mom what was his offence
"Nothing naughty boy,come and eat"
"Well I can be naughty to you alone,you know that " he said smirking
"Kareem!!" 
OK I was just kidding,never mind me" he told me smiling and I roll my eyes at him
*****NEXT MORNING*****
I felt something heavy on my stomach, slowly I opened my eyes and saw a man's body beside me,his hand placed on my stomach
"Arrrrghh!!!" I screamed and pushed him to the floor
"Maryam what happened? " he asked looking worried
Wait..Kareem? What's Kareem doing here? Oh my! Stupid me,he came and we talk about so many things. I cooked him food,after that we both sit on the couch watching TV then I slept off and now he's in my room. How?
"Kareem?....I'm sorry.....I'm not used to this type of things" I apologized
"No, its fine...are you sure you're alright?"
"Erm..yes I'm good...but what are you doing here?...I thought-"
"Of course I can't let my wife sleep alone, I missed her a lot"
"Kareem!!"
"What?...and by the way you snore a lot"
"No! I don't snore"
I'm very sure that I don't snore
"Really? Do you want me to show you? I video you... Do you really want to see it?"
"Kareem! You can't do that!" I asked with wide eyes
"Oh try me beautiful " he laugh wickedly
I stand up to take his phone but he was so quick coz he took the phone and ran out laughing
I smiled and shook my head,I can't believe that this day would come,me and Kareem smiling and acting like real couple..wait! Real couple! 
The ringing tone of my phone brought me out from my thought. I wide my eyes out of fear. Mansur is calling me! What do I do now? Kareem can't know that he's calling me
"H...Hello Mansur" I said
"Hey! Morning " 
"Good...morning"
"Are you OK? You seemed worried"
"No...Yes..I mean I'm fine"
What's even wrong with me? I'm not doing anything bad..right?
"Are you sure? " 
"Yes...of course"
I need to let Mansur know that I'm now with Kareem,I shouldn't lead him on 
"I'm closed to your house-"
"Mansur we need to talk"
We both said at the same time
"Chill girl,I know you missed me too,so I'm close to your house...want me to come over or you'll come meet me at the restaurant closed to your house?"
"I'll come meet you there... See you in ten minute"
"OK beautiful... I'm waiting"
I sighed  "Now how will I lie to Kareem?"
I quickly went into the toilet and take my bath,I'm on my period so I can't pray
I put on a pencil slit maroon skirt and a white top, I bring out my white heels and wrap my veil neatly on my head. I opened the door and went down stairs only to find Kareem cooking in the kitchen
"Wow! Never knew you could cook"
"Well only for you beautiful " he replied me and turn to look at me but he furrowed his eyebrow 
"Where are you going to?"
"Erm..I want to take...erm...cof...coffee, so I want to go get it down the street here"
"Really? And I thought you would like what I'm preparing for you "
"Of course I do...but it just that every morning I love to take coffee"
"Alright...wait a second lemme quickly change to something suitable, so we could go together"
"NO!!!...I mean it just to get coffee, it not something special,I won't take up to ten minute and I'll be back..I promise"
"But-"
"Come on Kareem,I'll be back before you  know it"
"Are you sure? You won't take long right?"
"Yes"
"OK.....Don't just take long"
"OK My Hero" I said as I tried to walk out but Kareem stopped me
"No kiss for your Husby?"
Huh?! Kiss? Husby? What am I even thinking... Kareem is my husband,yes we might not be in good terms but now we're and I need to fulfill my duty as the good wife
The soft lip I felt on my crown head made me realise that I've zone off again. Kareem kissed me again on my forehead, my nose,my cheeks and lastly my lip. It was brief but I felt like it was more than that
"I love you" he said looking into my eyes. Now I could read him like an open book. I could see the love and care he had for me in his eyes
"I love you too"

*Hey!" Mansur wave when I spot him. I moved closer to him
"Hi" I said 
"How was your night?" 
"It was fine"
"OK let take a sit" he reasoned and I nod in response
"So you wanted to see me?"
"Yes...but before that, you go first...you know they always say ladies first" he joke
How do I say this now? Mansur you see Kareem and I are back together and I don't think its best to keep seeing each other.. Is that how I'm going to put it? No it won't make sense,but how do I say it? I'm getting scared already
"Hey are you alright?" He asked as he placed his left hand on my right hand,he hold it gently looking at me with worried look on his face
"You know you can always talk to me right?" He said again caressing my hand
"I-" 
WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE?" I heard an angry voice behind me
Subhanallah what do I do now?! He's here!
