Maryam's POV
Safeenah? 
As in the same Safeenah I used to hear her name?
But what is she doing here? 
She's dead right? 
I looked at Kareem and he was looking at her with a sad face but all of a sudden it turns to anger
"What are you doing here?!" He asked harshly
"Baby I-" he cut her off
Baby?
"Don't you dare baby me! What the fuck are you doing here?! You're dead!" 
"I can explain,but it has to be between you and I....I don't want an outsider to interfere" she said glancing over at me
Wait a minute! Am I the outsider? This girl is really funny. How can she just show up her face asking for my husband attention? And now she's referring me to as outsider? Who is she?
I'm sure Kareem will put her in her place
"Maryam excuse us" Kareem said not even looking me into the eyes,his eyes were fixed on hers
"But My hero-"
"NOW!!!" He roared angrily
I immediately ran to our room as I felt a tear of water drop from my eyes down to my cheeks,the last time Kareem talk to me in this manner was before I leave this house, and today because of her he got angry at me,he couldn't even look me into the eyes
What will happen to me now? She's here! The love of his life. Why Allah? Just why? We were happy few minute ago,why would she have to show up here after so many years? Why? I thought all my problems have been buried but now it seems like it has just started,just by showing her face Kareem has started giving me attitude
Will he leave me and go back to her? No! He won't do that! But he loves her

It been more than three hours and Kareem still haven't showed up here in the room,I've been pacing around for the past three hours now.... What will I do now? Are they back together? Did he promise to take her back? No it can't be possible, but what if there was a genuine reason why he she left and he understand and forgives her? Then what will happen to me? Will he drive me out of his house? Will he Marry her? He married me coz he thought she was dead and now what?
Should I call Mom? No I can't do that... What about Mufeedah or Kareemah? No I can't do that also,they just left here and it won't be proper to disturb them with this type of issue at this time,it late already
Still thinking about so many things, Kareem walk in with his face all looking worried and sad
I quickly walk up to him and placed my right hand on his shoulder as i asked him the question that have been bothering me ever since that woman showed up her face here "Kareem what's going on? Is she really the Safeenah you've been talking about? Why is she here?" I bombarded him with so many questions but he didn't give me any reply
"Kareem please talk to me! What is she doing here?!" I yell
"Woman stop yelling at me, I'm not in the mood for that!!" He yells back as he pushed my hand away. I was about to fall down  as Kareem quickly grab my body with his two arms
Water of tears slipped down my cheeks as I looked him into his eyes, he also wide his eyes in surprise coz he was also shocked by his reaction "beautiful I'm-"
I raise up my hand by stopping him from completing his sentence
"I think...I think you need to rest for now" I said as I quickly walk out of the room. I walked out only to see her standing at the staircase smirking at me. What have I gotten my self into? I walk pass her and entered my previous room. The moment I entered, I slumped my self on the floor as I burst into tears
Ya Allah is this how I'm going to continue to live my life? All through in agony? What is my gain for coming back to this house? 
I keep crying and crying till I can't feel any water of tears again in my eyes, slowly I drift off to sleep on that floor
*****NEXT MORNING*****
I felt someone kissed my crown head as I opened my eyes slowly, there sit beside me was Kareem who was looking at me with love and admiration in his eyes. I blink my eyes to be sure of what I was seeing and it wasn't a lie,it was indeed him. I remembered I slept off on the the floor yesterday and now I'm on my bed,there's no doubt that it was Kareem who helped me here to the bed
I looked at him for some seconds before shifting my eyes away from his. I can't stand him right now
"What are you doing here? You should go meet the woman you're dying to be with for the past years" I said with no emotion in my voice
"Beautiful-"
"Now we're back to the nickname...have you forgotten Kareem? You called me by my name yesterday! All because of what? All because of that woman! I didn't even do anything wrong Kareem! What is my offence? tell me....what?"
"I'm sorry beautiful please forgive me,I swear I was just confused yesterday that's why"
"And now what? You want me to leave your house because the woman you really love is back?"
"What? NO! You aren't going no where,this is your house, I love you Maryam with all my heart,when I said you're my present and my future, please believe me coz I'm ready to make our marriage work"
"And your past? Your past that showed up yesterday? "
"You just said it beautiful, she's my past and I can't go back to my past I can only focus on my present and prepare for my future"
"I'm sorry, I was a jerk yesterday...I swear I didn't mean what I did please forgive me" he begged
I quickly stand up to sit and hug him tightly "please don't leave me Kareem, I don't think I'll be able to live without you"
"Same goes to me too,I won't be able to live without you.....I promise you, nothing will come between us.. I promise"
"But Ka-"
"Believe me,I won't ever disappoint you again,you can trust me on this"
"What happened Kareem? Why is she here? I thought she was dead?" I asked confused
"Well she wasn't, coz she was forced to lie"
"What do you mean she was force to lie? Who made her lie?" I asked with puzzle face
"Mom" Kareem said as he sighed
"What?!"
"Yes Beautiful, it was Mom's doing right from the beginning"
He told me everything and I was shocked to even utter a word. Could she be saying the truth? I mean she can be lying
"But Kareem I don't-"
"Think you believe her" he finished for me
"Yes" I said nodding my head
"I can't say I believe her and I can't say i didn't coz she isn't that type of a girl"
Oh! Please you shouldn't, coz she isn't who you thought her to be
"But we need to go see Mom, I need to hear the answer from her"
"Yes I think that way it would be better,so we can know the actual truth"
"But for now she doesn't have any place to go to,she was robbed the moment she land in Nigeria,so she'll be staying in our house for the main time... Hope you aren't against it?"
"What?! She's in our house right this moment?"
"Yes,why? You don't like it?"
"Erm....no it just that-"
"Don't worry beautiful, Safeenah is really a good lady I assure you that. You'll come to like her when you get close to her"
"But Kareem I don't like her! I don't want her in our house! She'll take you away from me! I just got you back!"
"Maryam please calm down, nobody is taking me away from you.. I promise"
"I know what I'm saying Kareem, please don't let her stay in this house please" I beg crying
Kareem quickly hug me as he sooth my back slowly "please calm down,I know it won't be easy for you,but please believe me she's also like you,she have a great heart as you,please just for a few weeks and she'll leave for good I promise"
After so many assuring word from Kareem, I finally agreed to let her stay even though I still believe that her staying here won't be any good for us,I tried to mask it off just for the sake of Kareem
Kareem told me he hasn't pray coz he was waiting for me to wake up, I immediately stand up and we both perform our ablution and prayed together. Him standing in front while I stood behind him. Praying with him has now become regular coz now I can't pray without him and he also can't pray without me

We're now in Kareem's car,I and the rude lady. After we finished praying this morning, I picked up my phone and inform Mufeedah and Kareemah what was going on
Kareemah got panic and Mufeedah keeps telling me to have faith in my husband,she told me she believe that Kareem won't leave me no matter what,even though she might be his first love that Kareem loves me now. While kareemah was scared coz she told me that Safeenah has so many tactics she could use to take Kareem away from me
She stands on letting my mother in law knows but I told her not to,it will only worsen the situation, it's better we showed up at the house and we settle everything for good
Now here we're already in the house. And the queen hopped down with the help of my husband,I don't know what she said really happens to her leg. I glared at Kareem but the idiot did not even notice or glance my way. I mistakenly take a look at her and we lock gaze, I was still holding the angry face while she only smirk at me. She placing her hand on Kareem's chest didn't go unnoticed by me. I was really boiling inside but I needs calm my self, if not Kareem might start seeing me as the bad guy here
We salam and entered the house. Mom was coming out from the kitchen as she saw us. The cup on mom's hand drop on the floor as she wide her face in fear. Just by seeing Mom's reaction it was certain that the bad girl was saying the truth after all
"Sa...Safeenah?" She shuttered
"What... What are you doing here?"
"I'm sorry Ma-" Kareem cut her off before she could finish her sentence
"Mom that's not the problem for now...she told me everything already, is it true? Did you make her lie to me?" Kareem asked calmly, but you could sense the anger building up in his voice
"Son please, I can explain..please " 
"Shit Mom! Mom....what have you done?! You made her lie just because you want me to marry someone else?!" Kareem said with so much pain in his voice
OK this is going in a wrong way? Am I the one Kareem was referring to as someone else? Obviously yes!
"Son please I-"
"Mom you've been the best Mom for me for the past so many years but today,I'm really disappointed in you...I can't believe you could destroy your son's happiness just because of your interest" he said as he walk out from the house
Now Dad and Kareemah were out of their room. Kareemah was looking so worried and Dad looks sad
I glance over at the bad girl and she smile wickedly before she also walk out from the house
