Maryam's POV
"This is wonderful! I haven't witnessed something as this before in my life. Kareem you're such a great man for standing up for your wife. You trusted her a lot to the extend of arresting that woman" a fair Lady said smiling at my husband,she looked at the mid of 40's
"Yes,I haven't witness such thing before in my life,for a husband to stand by his wife this much,it means she's really a great wife and a good daughter in-law. I'm sorry Safiya for misjudging your daughter in-law at first,judging by your son action,it is very clear that she really is a decent woman"
"Yes.....,but Kareem how sure were you that your wife was innocent? " A lady asked
Kareem smiled as he take a look at me before he started speaking "well,it all started when I came back from work some weeks ago,I met both my wife and her in the kitchen but what surprised me most was that Safeenah's hand was covered in blood. She claimed that my wife hurt her and that was the biggest mistake of my life for not trusting my wife"
"Some days later, I heard her telling someone on phone that she will make sure Maryam leaves the house for good. I was startled at first and that was how I started suspecting her till today"

"That girl is so cunning!....I knew she will eventually shows her true colors" my mother in-law said 
"Yes Mom, but please can we all forget about her tonight and make our selves happy?" Kareem asked

Kareem I can't believe this is happening to us....I mean when are we going to be happy for once?" I asked as we both lie down on the bed,Kareem was stroking my hair gently as if it was the best thing in whole world
"Maryam you don't have to think about all that for now,I'm here and you're here with me, that's the most important thing"

"Quiet Maryam.... We will always be together no matter what and we will be happy from now on...OK? "  He said and I nod my head
"No I can't hear you...you say what?"
"OK fine" I replied smiling

"What?! Did you just compare me with your favorite food?!" I faked hurt

"Kareem you know I wanted to tell you something impor-" I couldn't finish my statement as I feel like throwing up all of a sudden. I covered my mouth with my right hand and ran quickly to the restroom. Immediately I walk in, I locked the door from inner
"Maryam what the heck are you doing! Open this door right this moment! Maryam! Open this damn door!" he keeps banging the door yelling while I concentrate on my puking
I can't let him see me throwing up,I will look disgusting to him
When I was through I opened the door only to come face to face with my angry husband
"Hi there Kareem!" I said smiling showing my innocent face,even though I'm weak I never showed it
"What was that?"
"What was what?" I pretend 
"Maryam don't play with me! Why did you lock the door? " 
"Well...I.... Coz you can't see me,you know"
"Why?" He ask raising his eyebrow
"Erm.....Erm...I'll look disgusting to you" I said looking down
"What?! Do you even know what you're saying? You're my wife for goodness sake Maryam!"
"I know but-"
"Quiet! " 
What is wrong with him since yesterday? He like cutting me off now
Rude much! 
"Gosh! You're such an idiot Maryam" he said annoyingly
"Come sit here" he guide me to where I'll sit and sat me down
"Are you OK now? What happened? Why are you throwing up?" 
"I don't know Kareem and please don't kill me with too much of question, coz even I my self don't know what's wrong"
"Lemme call my doctor" he said as he was trying to get his phone
"Kareem are you crazy!" I stopped him immediately
"What are you doing? It already midnight already. Leave it"
"But your health....what if something is wrong with you Maryam? you've not been your self for the past weeks now"
"Yes I know, but please tomorrow you can call the doctor please"
"OK then"
"So can we sleep now?" 
"Yeah...sure"
That night, as Kareem keep stroking my hair, he keep soothing my back and that was how I fell into dream land

Kareem's POV
The smell of something burning wake me up,immediately I opened my eyes my wife is not sleeping beside me
Where could she be this early morning?
"Maryam?....Maryam?" I called out her name twice but never got any response
"What's happening? " I wondered as I walk out of the room to down stairs
I entered the kitchen and saw her lying lifelessly on the floor
"MARYAM!!!!" I shout out her name out of shock and fear as I ran towards her
"Maryam! Maryam please wake up! Please...what happened to you? Baby please wake up"

"Kareem son, what happened to my daughter? " her mom asked immediately she and her husband came in,already my parent are here
"Mom I'm not sure,this morning when I woke up only to see her lying lifelessly on the floor"
"My poor baby, what has happened to her?" 
"Please Nana don't worry, our daughter will be fine" my mom assured her
Immediately the doctor walk out from our room,we all went to him 
"So what happened to my wife? Why is she in that state?"
"Mr Kareem congratulation"
"Congratulation? What congratulation? Why are you congratulating me? My wife just fainted and you're congratulating me? What the fuck ar-" 
"Watch your tongue Mr " dad cut me off
"Calm down son,I'm sure there's something important the doctor want to tell us" my mother in-law said soothing my back 
"Mr Kareem, me congratulating you knows what I'm saying. Your wife is pregnant "
"What?!" I uttered surprisingly
"My baby is what?!" Her mom asked surprised too
"Yes, she's pregnant"
"My wife is pregnant? She's pregnant! I'm going to become a father!" I exclaim happily
"Right this moment, she really needs a lot of rest and she shouldn't go through much stress. She has a very reactive body. Any slight mistake, it might cause to something else so please be careful with her and she need to watch what she do"
"Yes yes...thank you so much doctor,I'll make sure I follow all your instructions"
"So tomorrow you can bring her to our hospital for proper test.....OK I'll get going now"
"Yes.....yes bye"
"Mom! Mom I'm going to be a father" I exclaim happily
"Yes son"
"Congratulation son" my two Dad said

Maryam's POV
"Baby please wake up, we all have good news for you " I heard my Mom's voice 
Mom?
What happened to me?
Why am I feeling weak from the inner?
Slowly I opened my eyes only to see all pairs of eyes on me. My whole family looking at me with happiness glint on their faces.
"Maryam!" My mom exclaim,in a swift, she came to me and sat beside me
"Mom? What happened? Why are you all here?" I asked as I tried to sit up
"No my dear,please don't stress your self...you really need a lot of rest" my mother in-law said as she quickly sit beside me too
What? Why all this care? And this look...why are they all happy?
"Mom I'm fine seriously, I'm just weak"
"Yes my dear, that is why you need to rest"
I haven't seen my husband. Yes I know I fainted,I could clearly remembered that I was trying to cook Kareem something when all of a sudden I was feeling dizzy and the next thing I know, everything went black
"Mom where is Kareem?"
"Oh! something urgent came up at work and being the stubborn him he refuse to leave, all thanks to your Mom, he was able to leave but promise to be back soon"
"OK "
"My dear we're so proud of you...may Almighty Allah always bless you for me. You've made me the most happiest person in the whole world,I don't know how to thank you enough "
"Mom? What happened? Why are you saying all this?" I asked confused
"Oh sorry don't mind me....Nana we should let her know right? I can't wait till Kareem comes back"
"Yes you're right....Maryam you're pregnant"

"Maryam you don't have to do anything, you're carrying our baby,you need to watch what you do"
Kareem has been acting crazy since three days ago and over protective. The new rules in the house is that no more work for me. I can work right....getting pregnant doesn't mean that I can't do anything
"Kareem I'm fine. I can work and-"
"No you won't! I'm going to work now,don't let me come back and meet you working OK? " he said sternly
"Yes Dad " I replied giving him a salute

"Kareem?"
"Yes?"
"Can you please release Safeenah?"
"What? You want her released?" He asked giving me the 'are you crazy look'
"Yes Kareem, thank God you've known what she was aiming for for coming to our house but please let bygone be bygone,she must have realise her mistake and moreover she won't come back to this house again right?" I finished ranting
"Of course"
"You see...so there's no need in keeping her there till eternity, just free her and let her go"

"Please Kareem....everyone deserve second chance please"
"What will I do without you....you have such a great heart " he said and I blush
"I promised tomorrow, we will both go there together to get her released"
