Two months later, we created a music video for our song, “The Haunted Doll.” The music video was shot in a house and a church. The year is 1995, and in this year, the Andersen family lives in a lovely and comfortable house in a suburb. The Andersen couple has three children: a twelve-year-old daughter, a ten-year-old son, and another son who is eight years old. They are quite good people, and they are nice to everyone. They have a lot of friends in the neighborhood, office, and school. Well, except for the five-year-old son Charles. It is because Charles is an introverted and shy boy. Charles doesn’t have friends in school or the neighborhood. He doesn’t make any effort to befriend or even just talk to his peers. He is content with studying and leisurely reading in the library alone. When he is at home, he keeps studying and, afterwards, plays his video games. When a kid at school and in the neighborhood approaches and talks to him, he stays quiet and ignores them, so they leave him alone. His siblings see that he never plays with anyone, so feeling pity for him, they play with him. Because Charles is comfortable with his family members, he gladly plays with them. His siblings tell their parents that Charles doesn’t have any friends. This worries their parents. So one day, they buy him a doll so that he can play with his peers. On a Saturday morning, while Charles is watching a cartoon for kids his age, his parents call him. He approaches his parents and asks why they call him. His parents are smiling widely. They are pretty sure that their kid is going to love the doll. His mother is hiding the doll on her back. A few seconds later, she presents the doll to him. Charles screamed and jumped in delight at the sight of that toy. He finds and pushes the button at the back of the doll. The doll talks. He says, “Hello” and other greetings, and “Thank you.” Charles is amazed by this feature, but what really catches his eye is that the doll looks similar to him—it has fair skin, blue eyes, and curly hair. The only thing that separates him and the doll is that he has blonde hair and the doll has black hair. Charles thanks his parents for the wonderful gift and tells them that he loves them. He calls the doll Harvey and brings it anywhere with him—at home and school. He loves the doll even though Harvey has limited vocabulary. However, ever since he plays with the doll, strange things happen. When the male bully calls Charles a sissy boy for owning a doll, the bully coughs worms in the classroom and the entire class, and the teacher flees in fear of the horrible, inexplicable, and disgusting sight. When Charles’ aunt reprimands him for accidentally saying “fuck” while playing his video game, thirty minutes later, she falls downstairs while running to a ringing phone. One afternoon, after school, while he was walking home with the doll, an old homeless man says to him, “That doll is evil; get rid of it while you still can.” Charles doesn’t believe the homeless man, so he ignores his advice. One time at night, Charles hears his dear doll, Harvey, saying words from a foreign language. The little boy commits the words to memory. Upon waking up in the morning, he writes the words in his notebook. For the first time in two months, he leaves the doll in the house, particularly his bed. He decides to study what his doll has just said. During lunch, after eating, he borrows a dictionary of foreign languages. During this breaktime and after school, he reads the dictionary to find out what language the doll spoke last night. After two hours, he learns that it is Latin. He then borrows a Latin dictionary and book of Latin phrases and sentences. Within four hours, he learns that the words Harvey said were, “Stay away from your family. Let’s move out, live together, and worship the devil.” That terrifies Charles. Charles comes home still scared about the Latin message and its meaning. “Mom, dad, I am home,” he greets his parents as he enters the house. But his mom and dad are not there. He looks for his siblings. They are not there either. His spooky doll, Harvey, approaches him with an evil and sadistic smile. The doll says that the little boy’s family members are all in the forest and that he should come with him. Upon reaching the wretched forest, Charles sees that each of his family members is sitting on the grassy fields, their hands tied up together with tight ropes, and their mouths are covered in handkerchiefs. There is a fire in the corner. There is an image of the devil made of carved wood in the canter, and lighted black candles and black crystals and stones surround it. If you want to save your family, you will worship Satan and offer his blood to him,” the doll commanded. “Or else I will burn them.” He smiles cruelly. The little boy is forced to nod. But he murmurs, “God help me! ” “Ha! God can’t help you! You are doomed.” The demonic doll pricks the blood of the boy. The boy cries, “I’m sorry, God.” The doll prays in Latin as he offers the blood of the boy. The sky darkens, a thunder booms, and the lightning strikes. It is as if the darkness triumphs. “Now, you will leave your family and live with me. Hahaha! "The devilish doll erupts in sinister laughter. “No, he is not coming with you! "An angel appears. He has straight white hair and an immaculately white cloak. White wings are on his back, and his sapphire eyes glow. He kills the doll with a flaming sword, exorcises him, and sends him back to hell. Later on, the angel appears in his human form. Charles realizes that the angel was the homeless man who warned him about the evil doll. He and the family thank the homeless man/angel. “Is my soul doomed? "Charles asks the angel. “No, you are not doomed because the ritual is not complete and the demon is now suffering in hell,” the angel tells him calmly. He turns back into angel form and flies in the sky back to heaven. In the end, the family goes to church every Sunday and thanks God and Angel Michelangelo and asks for their guidance and blessings every day. A lot of people loved the music video for its beautiful visuals and meaningful message. The song made it to the top five of the local music channel and the top two in the international music channel. It was widely played on the radio.
