I was currently practicing with my band. We were going to perform live tomorrow. My phone rang. “I told you, our phones should be turned off or on airplane mode,” Noah reprimanded me. “I’m sorry,” I apologized. “It is my childhood friend. This will take only a minute. Please continue without me if you will.” He nodded. My bandmates continued playing their instruments. “Hello, Faye,” I greeted my friend. “Hello, Imogen,” she replied while crying. “Will you visit me here in Nevada?" She lives in Nevada now. “Sure, sweetie,” I told her in a sweet voice. She seemed to have a problem since she was crying. “I’ll go there for after an hour, though. I am practicing with my band. Is that okay? ” “Sure,” she replied. She tried to stop crying. But I could still hear her whimpering. She sent me the address of her new home. I went back to the rehearsal studio. I sipped a bottle of water. Our band and I resumed our rehearsal. We were going to perform a gig in Los Angeles. We took practice very seriously. We wanted to sound great all the time as much as possible. Not to brag, but we did sound amazing today. Hopefully tomorrow, in the gig itself, we will sound this great or even better. “Nice job, everyone! "Noah complimented us. We thanked him. After an hour of practice, I drove to Montebello. Upon reaching her home, I was greeted by Faye and Dolores with warm hugs. “Empress couldn’t make it. She has work.” “It’s understandable,” I replied. “It’s Monday, and it’s pouring.” Batches of wines, cases of beers, and some snacks were on the dining table. We took our seats. “How are you?" I asked both Faye and Dolores. “I’m good,” Dolores replied straightforwardly. “Obviously, I’m not,” Faye’s eyes swelled, and her face was deep red as tomato. She sniffled. I embraced her. “My boyfriend Adrian and I broke up,” she informed me. “Aww, sweetie,” I said while comforting her. I gently patted her shoulders. “His wife texted me. I didn’t know he has a wife. He kept me in the dark.” “That’s tough.” I couldn’t say anything else. I was shocked by this news she brought me. Faye smoked a cigarette while holding a bottle of wine. She was beautiful even though she was sad. She looked like she could be a model or an endorser of an expensive wine. If only she were happy. “I told her to forget about him,” Dolores informed me. “But she couldn’t.” “How could I forget him?" Faye said sadly. “I still love him.” “Well, you can’t easily forget someone you love,” I said calmly. “It takes time. It may take months and even a year.” “But she needs to forget him,” Dolores countered. “As quick as she can. Your ex doesn’t love you. If he loves you, he wouldn’t lie and cheat with you.” “I know that! "Faye yelled. She cried again. Dolores was giving her tough love. She told the truth even when it hurt. I tried my best to calm Faye down. “Faye, Dolores is not antagonizing you,” I informed her. “She’s just looking after you. We all care about you.” Dolores nodded. “What Dolores was trying to say was to move on. That guy was a human stain. You are so beautiful. You will find someone new, someone better. Someone who will be loyal to you.” Faye chuckled. “Heh. Luckily, I know that I am beautiful.” We had a movie marathon in Faye’s living room. We watched on her flat-screen television there. We watched different movies, from comedy to horror to chick flicks, while drinking beer and wine and eating bags of chips and nuts. When we finished watching movies, I suggested something else that we could do for enjoyment. “Let’s go to a bar,” I told them. They nodded in agreement. Before we went to a bar nearby, we cleaned the living room and dining room. I picked out the pieces of trash and threw them in a trash bin. Dolores wiped the tables. Faye swept the floor. We returned the wines inside the cupboard and the beers in the refrigerator. When we were done cleaning the entire house, we gave Faye a makeover. Knowing that Faye was too sad to do her own makeup and hair, Dolores and I did her makeup and hair. Faye took a bath. She took her time while taking a bath within an hour. We gladly waited for her. Tonight, we were her fairy godmothers. Faye wore a short black crisscross dress, revealing her bust and flat stomach. She paired the dress with black strappy heels and golden jewelry. It looked like she was ready to move on! I meticulously applied BB cream, a concealer, and pressed powder to Faye’s lovely face. I waited for the powder to set. Once it was set, I swiped on golden eyeshadow on her eyes and deepened the creases with brown eyeshadow. On the outer V of her eyes, I put on a slightly darker brown eyeshadow on them. I drew lines on her eyes and created a winged eyeliner effect with a liquid black eyeliner. I dabbed on natural pink blush on her cheeks. I contoured and highlighted her face with a natural brown contour and bright highlight to give her face warmth and glow. Lastly, I carefully applied red lip balm and red lipstick to her lips. Dolores brushed Faye’s hair and blow-dried it for five minutes. When Faye’s hair was dry, Dolores used a flat iron on the former’s hair to straighten it to make it smooth and curled it into glamorous waves. Then, Dolores sprayed Faye’s hair with a hair spray to make the hair long-lasting. We finished the look. “You are stunning! "I complimented Faye. “You look like an enchantress,” Dolores commented. “I know,” Faye winked. “I’m going to easily capture men’s hearts.” She beamed in front of the full-length mirror. Faye skillfully sprayed a classy and expensive perfume on necessary parts of her body. It was the kind of perfume a famous Hollywood actress in the late 50’s used to wear. Dolores drove us to the bar. We danced and flirted with men. Except for Dolores. She didn’t flirt with anyone since she was in a relationship. We drank glasses of wine. Except for Dolores since she was our designated driver. A handsome and charming guy talked to Faye for hours. They laughed at each other’s jokes and made advances on each other. They kissed each other. Later on, they exchanged numbers. Faye definitely moved on.
