Chapter 75 Boys Will Be Boys

The next day, in the morning, we decided to meet up with the girl who owned the wallet. Her name is Mei Akiyama. It was Dianne who called and talked to her about her missing wallet. Dianne was fluent in Japanese since she studied the language when she was a college student. We met Mei in the train station and gave back the wallet to her.
“Oh, thank you so much. I am so glad that you gave back my wallet! "She thanked us profusely. “I thought I was losing my mind. I looked for this wallet everywhere. You are kind foreigners.”
She hugged us. “You are welcome, Mei,” Dianne replied to her. Then we said goodbye to her and told her to take care. She said goodbye in Japanese.
“Oh my, that girl is so cute,” Dominic muttered.
Noah glared at him. “You should be grateful that we didn’t tell her you almost took her wallet in your possession.”
“Ugh,” Dianne rolled her eyes and complained. “Please give him a break, will you? ”
“He almost made us look bad,” Noah replied angrily.
“You are so concerned about the band’s reputation,” I stated. Did he ever consider us his friends at some point, or were we just co-workers?
“And welfare,” Sebastian chimed in. “I am glad we returned the wallet.”
“The girl could have reported us to the police if we didn’t return it,” Liam assented.
“If he didn’t retrieve it,” Noah corrected, although he didn’t have to because we got it.
“Look guys, I am so sorry I almost stole it, okay?” Dominic apologized, although he was pissed off because Noah, the leader of the band, so it seemed, kept giving him a hard time. Also, because Dominic really felt sorry about the situation.
“You should be,” Noah replied to Dominic. Then he said to all of us, “Guys, remember how sorry you would feel so next time you won’t misbehave during a tour and our time together as a band.”
We nodded like obedient soldiers agreeing and following our commander.
Six days later, we flew to New Zealand and had our concert there. Our music was appreciated in the avenue. The tickets were sold out! After the concert, we visited the scenic spots of the country. We were amazed by their glorious mountains, scenic parks, clear bodies of water, unique beaches, grand towers, and cinematic natural wonders. The citizens were friendly. They greeted everyone with warm smiles. None of them shied away from foreigners. On the streets along the way, our fans asked for our autographs and photographs with them, and we gladly signed at their copies of our albums and smiled at their cameras. We even talked to our fans for four hours. We were glad to have entertained our fans. We were thankful for their appreciation and loyalty.
After entertaining our fans, we went to a coffee shop to relax and try their coffees and pastries. We loved the delectable taste of the food and beverages and the cozy and warm ambiance of the coffee shop.
After that, we went to a bookshop and bought books there. There were several books in that shop that we couldn’t find in shops in our hometowns, and those were inexpensive too. The bookshop was called Book Haven, and it really did feel that way. I loved the scent of the books as I smelled them.
“They have ‘The Vampire and His Beloved’! "I exclaimed excitedly.
“Didn’t we all read and study that in middle school? "Liam asked. “Why would you want to read, let alone buy it? ”
“It’s because it is a wonderful classic book,” I answered. “And I love its tragic and romantic tale.”
“Classic books are okay,” Dianne mentioned. “But for now, I’m going to buy a modern dark romance novel called ‘Dawn.’”
“I’ve heard good reviews about that one,” Sebastian informed us. “It’s going to have a film adaptation.”
“I’ll just watch the movie then,” Liam declared. “That would be more fun.”
Noah bought a sports magazine featuring all the workouts he planned to do to keep in shape and meals he planned to prepare and cook. None of the other guys bought a book.
The next day was a Saturday. It was sunny and warm. It was a good day to go out. So, we watched rugby live in a stadium. We placed bets on different teams. Dianne, Dominic, and Sebastian bet on the Orange Tigers, and me, Liam, and Noah bet on the Black Lions. My team lost, so we bought soda and cheese-flavored hotdogs for Dianne, Dominic, and Sebastian. They indulged in the free food and drinks we provided after the game.
Later on, a group of attractive women approached and talked to Liam. They chatted with him about the game and even flirted with him. The women even ran their hands on his arms, and one of them even dared to touch his groin area. “Easy, ladies,” Liam smiled and removed the hand near his groin. “Someone might catch us here.”
The ladies laughed seductively around Liam. Dominic caught the flirtation going around near him and told Liam, “You may have lost the bet, but you sure are winning right now.” He winked.
“Oh yeah,” Liam chuckled.
Dianne shook her head. “Boys will be boys.”
At 8:00 pm, Noah informed us girls that they were going to have a boys’ night out. Obviously, it meant that only the males were going out.
“Please stay in this hotel,” Noah told us. “And take care of yourselves.”
Dianne and I stayed in the room.
“What do you think they’re going to do? "I asked her.
“They’re probably going to have fun at the bar, a couple of drinks, and some hot women,” Dianne replied nonchalantly.
“Let’s watch some cable,” Dianne offered. She flipped through channels via a remote control. We came across a soap opera.
“This should be good,” Dianna uttered. I nodded. We shared over some popcorn we ordered through food service.
A phone rang loudly and irritably; it almost sounded like a banshee’s shriek.
“Let me get that,” I told Dianne as she was already engrossed in the soap opera.
It was Liam’s phone. He accidentally left it. “Hello? "I said.
