For the past few days, I've been living alone at home again. I feel lonely again. Like there's something empty. Living together with Rei, apparently gave me a little happiness. But what can I do? Everything that happens, will happen. So I can only let things go as they should. Despite feeling lonely. Instead of letting myself get carried away with the feeling of endless loneliness. So in the end, I chose to practice in preparation for the Sania Festival. Perhaps my ability to compose my own songs wasn't so bad. However, I had a bit of luck on my side. Even though Fujisaki's memories had all been erased. But who would have thought that Fujisaki's abilities would naturally merge with mine into one. That natural talent made it easy for me to write a song. I who was not very experienced in songwriting. Now I can make songs quite easily. But still, I couldn't believe one hundred percent that this song would work just like that. So many times, I tried to perfect this song. "Argh! This part is so bad," I complained about the part that didn't feel right. Even though I've tried many times to fix, this missing part. But for some reason, it felt like I wasn't making any progress at all. "Ah... damn there's no progress at all." I slammed my body down on the thin mattress that had somehow become my favorite. Although before, I kept complaining because this thin mattress had been the cause of my aches and pains. Feeling no progress at last, I picked up my guitar. And went outside to get some fresh air. Lingering in a cramped room like this. Not making any progress made me feel even more stressed. Who knows, when I go outside, I might get an idea for a much better song. *** There are a lot of people going out today. And right now, I'm in the shopping area. Where being a place, Naru and I once did busking together. I don't know why, what kind of wind made me come to this place. I looked around me for a moment. Would it be alright if I busked here alone? I breathed heavily. It seems like busking alone, here, isn't bad. I should give it a try. But when I was about to start busking. An officer came up to me, he told me that it's not allowed to busk without a permit. "Where's your permit card?" the officer asked me. I just found out that busking does require a permit. The other day, we didn't have any officers forbidding this. So I thought busking could be done carelessly but it wasn't. "That's ...." I didn't know what to say. I was even nervous myself, just in case I got fined for not having a license. "She's going to perform with me. I just happen to be the one with the cards. She's just my play partner." A teenage boy with reddish dyed hair. Walking up to me, he held up a card in his hand. "He's your partner?" the officer asked, examining the card the teenage boy had given him. The teenage boy smiled. "Yes. Please let us busk together. We already have a permit, so shouldn't we both be allowed to perform?" The officer nodded. He handed the card back to its owner. He told us to stick to the rules, even though we had permission. The officer then left and resumed his work. After the officer left. The flashy-looking teenage boy flashed me a smile. He had a fashionable appearance for a student. The fashionable teenager extended his hand to me to ask for my introduction. "Yori Honda, greetings. Just call me Yori. Your name?" "Fujisaki Haseko. Call me Fujisaki too," I replied as I returned her handshake. The two of us got acquainted quickly. And despite this being our first introduction, we had already allowed each other to call each other by our respective names instead of family names. "You wouldn't mind busking with me? I happen to have seen you perform around here. Your performances are good, you're talented. I'm interested in you," he said enthusiastically. He put down his guitar case and took out his guitar. The Yamaha Pacifia 112V was the type of guitar she had. "It actually seems like it would be a fun thing, if we did it together." Yori even though this was the first time, I met her. She has a similar aura to Naru, it seems she is no less talented. "This will be a fun experience for me. Are you ready, Fujisaki?" Yori took a quick glance at me. "Sure," I said with confidence. *** "Wow, I didn't expect the two of us to gather so many people earlier." Yori still looked excited after we finished performing. I wiped the sweat from my forehead. The performance between the two of us had been amazing. There were even more people watching than my previous performance. I'm sure that there were more people watching us because, Yori is really very talented. She has a good voice, and her guitar playing is just as good. "It wouldn't be surprising if there were a lot of people watching. Your voice and guitar playing are really good. I'm sure you have the qualities of a talented trainee from a big agency," I complimented her. Really, I think Yori doesn't just look like an amateur. She looked like a trainee who had been groomed to debut. "Hahaha... you're exaggerating Fujisaki. It's you who has more talent than me. Your voice sounds so smooth, and it's like you poured your heart out through your performance. I feel envious of you," she said. "Thank you for the compliment." Yori smiled, and took out her smartphone. Then she handed it to me. "I'd like to ask for your number, please?" she asked. "Sure." I then took Yori's smart phone, and entered the number into it. "Thanks. I'll call you later," she said cheerfully. She shook the smartphone in front of her face. *** The Next Day Today I finished all my activities. From going to school, to practicing for my performance at the Sania Festival. "Why is it so hot today?" I complained while wiping the sweat that had repeatedly dripped from my forehead. Even though it was late at night, for some reason the heat was clinging to my body. Feeling both hot and thirsty, I intended to stop by one of the nearby minimarkets. When I entered the convenience store, I was a little surprised to find Yori standing not far from me. "Yori?" I called out to the teenager. Yori turned to me, just like me before, she also showed a momentary surprised reaction. But that surprise quickly turned into happiness. "Nice to see you here, Fujisaki. Are you taking extra lessons or something?" She looked curious. "I just finished practicing with my band members. Why don't we chat together for a while?" I offered. "Okay," she said, pointing her thumb at me. ***
