25. Starting New

Naru fell silent biting her lip in annoyance. Holding back the pent-up anger. Wanting to protest, unfortunately she couldn't fight back this time.
Yori approached Naru. And Naru who was already trapped in this situation could only look at her sarcastically.
“You'd better tell me quickly about what you want. Don't beat around the bush.”
“It seems to be very difficult to make you completely tame.” Yori scrunched her waist. “Naru listen if you still have some shame. You shouldn't be talking rudely like this to me.”
Naru said nothing. Because she knew that if she protested then I wouldn't hesitate to attack her immediately.
“I dare you to talk to me. By the way, you yourself have seen how our match turned out.” Yori glanced at Naru.
“I know that's arrogant.”
And that was Naru, not realizing that she had lost she still maintained her selfishness.
“I don't want you to keep getting stuck in your mind. I think it's enough here, you maintain your stubbornness. I didn't challenge you to bring you down. That's why I invited Fujisaki to watch our match. I also hope that you can be calmer and more open.” Yori expressed her wishes with complete honesty. She didn't sugarcoat anything at all.
“Can I take your word for it sly fox?” Naru still felt distrustful of Yori.

Annoyed because Naru continued to distrust Yori. I finally hit Naru's head to make her listen to Yori this time.
“Don't argue. You promised to obey.”
“But there's no need to use violence either. It hurts like hell.” Naru was busy rubbing her head.
“Naru I will not force you to listen to me. In the end everything will still come from yourself. I'm just merely helping you.” Yori looked straight at Naru. She had no ill will at all and was just trying to get Naru to be more open.
Naru remained silent. But she began to think about Yori's words. It seemed to her that Yori had gone this far just for her. Besides that, he absolutely cannot underestimate Yori who clearly has good abilities. Slowly Naru tried to understand Yori and she realized that Yori's existence did not threaten her at all.
“Naru,” called Yori when she saw Naru only silent for a long time.
I myself who saw Naru just silent, immediately understood the situation that it seemed like Naru was thinking hard.
“Just calm down. She's just thinking. Isn't it good that in the end she used her brain and didn't act rashly on her emotions alone?” I whispered to Yori.
Yori looked at me a little worried. But I immediately calmed her down telling her that everything was fine.
After a long time of silence. Naru finally opened her mouth. “Well Yori I admit defeat and also wrong. I recognize your ability. But most importantly I have to admit that all the words you have given me are true. I have shown bad and detrimental behavior,” Naru said loudly.
Hearing Naru say that made me a little surprised. She who has high self-esteem and is stubborn. Wanting to admit her mistakes like this is a rare sight. It looks like Naru has learned from her mistakes.
Yori smiled and held out her hand to Naru. “Don't think about it too much. I hope you can learn from this mistake for your own good. If you don't mind, will you also be my friend?”
Naru did not answer. Instead, she turned around and looked like she was about to leave this place.
“I have considered this matter over. Tsk... I don't really want to do this. Just keep my number and don't delete it if you still want to communicate with me. I'm leaving,” she said before leaving this place.
Seeing Naru leave only made me chuckle in annoyance. It seems like her sense of prestige is really high. Even to say yes to the friendship invitation given by Yori, she did not answer it directly and instead made excuses.
“Gosh he even left like that. It's hard to understand people like that. I hope you don't take this incident to heart,” I said to Yori.
Yori shook her head. “It's okay. I understand that it seems like she's just embarrassed to reveal it. It would be nice if I could approach her as a friend someday. Seeing her ability earlier, made me admire her too. She's a determined person. It's just that his stubbornness is quite annoying,” Yori replied. It could be seen from Yori's face that she did not look upset at all and seemed to accept Naru's annoying behavior.
“I'm quite impressed with your patience. I really wish I had gotten to know you before Naru,” I said as I patted Yori on the shoulder.
“Wuah don't talk like that. You're also at least lucky to have a friend who is talented and also supports you wholeheartedly like Naru. Despite her annoying behavior.” Yori chuckled.
“Well but that is indeed a fact. I'd better apologize to Naru tomorrow too. Because I've been pretty rude to her too.” I recalled several incidents that made me inevitably be rude to Naru.
***
For some reason during this one day, I didn't notice Naru's presence at all. The figure who usually easily wandered around me. Now I can't find her at all.
“Hey Kano did you see Naru?” I asked as soon as Kano entered the classroom.
“I had a glimpse of her earlier. It looks like she skipped class. I don't know why she looked like she was in a hurry,” replied Kano who was now sitting in her seat.
I seem to feel that Naru is avoiding me. Is she still concerned about yesterday's incident? I thought Naru, who usually doesn't seem to care much about trivial things, wouldn't seem to care about anything anymore, when it's clear that the matter is over.
Oh my God... that kid's mind is so hard to guess.
***
Even until school ended, Naru showed no sign of her presence. I tried to look for her. But still I didn't get any results.
That child... when she avoided me everything became more difficult. Even though I thought the problem was over.
I'm too dizzy to think about that child. My stomach became so hungry. I went to the convenience store and bought instant ramen. When my hand stretched out to take the ramen of my choice. Someone also wanted to take the ramen I chose.
“Hey that's mine!” I scolded the person who wanted to take the ramen from my hand.
That person looked at me. And he looked surprised afterward. Letting the ramen be mine, he was seen walking out of the convenience store without a word.
Seeing his figure who walked out without giving me any response. I thoughtlessly put the instant ramen back on the shelf. I didn't buy it and chose to follow that person instead.
“Hey wait!” I called out trying to hold the person back.
But it seemed that the person still ignored me and continued walking. Although he walked very slowly. Making it easy for me to catch up with him.
