22. Bad Things

Naru's face immediately looked sour. Obviously Yori's words just now must have made her feel offended.
“Do I look so pathetic through your point of view. Even though I only did all that so that Fujisaki wouldn't get close to someone who wasn't suitable for her.” Naru rested her face with both hands on the table.
Stubborn as hell and those were the words that came to Yori's mind. It was hard to make Naru understand her good intentions.
“I didn't mean anything bad to you. It's just that I'm trying to tell you a little thing that I find quite disturbing.” As much as possible Yori tried to be careful with every word that came out of her mouth.
Naru's face twisted sourly. It was clear that she did not like hearing the words that Yori had said. It seemed like Naru only judged those words as something bad. And all of that was based on her personal judgment alone.
“I'm still listening to you this time. So speak up as soon as possible because I might as well, just leave and not want to deal with you anymore!” said Naru. Although from the look on her face, it implied her dislike, strangely she still persisted and chose to give Yori a chance to speak.
Feeling a little grateful for the opportunity Naru gave her. Yori chose to immediately reveal all the contents of her mind to Naru.
“Naru stop trying to grab all of Fujisaki's attention. You need to give her space. Where you don't have to meddle in her affairs. She has her personal life, and so do you,” Yori said.
There was a heavy sigh. Naru's face looked flat. She looked straight at Yori.
“You don't need to interfere to this extent. All those words of advice of yours seem completely useless to me. I didn't do anything bad to Fujisaki. She's my best friend and it's only natural that I take good care of her. But, you seem to be objecting to my actions.”
The response given by Naru clearly showed that she did not agree with the words Yori had expressed.
“I'm not just saying this for you. I'm also doing this for Fujisaki's sake because I feel sorry for her.”
Naru's eyebrows shot up one side. “In other words, you want to tell me that I'm the one who made Fujisaki feel depressed? Is that what you mean?” Naru did not accept.
“But isn't that the case? You're not willing to see things from a good perspective at all. You're completely selfish and completely unwilling to understand the needs of others!” Feeling that Naru wouldn't listen to her. In the end Yori decided not to be cute in front of Naru.
“Woe... in the end you also showed your bad behavior like this. How pathetic. I won't deal with you anymore. I don't need any advice from you anyway. Don't interfere anymore.” Naru stood up from her chair then walked out of the cafe leaving Yori there.
Yori herself had absolutely no desire to hold Naru back. It seemed to her that Naru didn't want to listen to her at all, the boy's head was too hard. Sooner or later Naru will get into trouble due to her bad attitude.
***
The next day
“Naru!” I yelled at her because I saw her during practice. Naru didn't seem to be concentrating at all. I don't know what was going through her mind, but seeing her playing so chaotically made me feel annoyed.
“Sorry,” she said in a low voice. He let go of the bass and moved away slightly.
Sure enough from her movements, Naru looked like she was thinking about something. I didn't know what she was thinking about. But seeing her uncharacteristic movements, I'm pretty sure she's just going to keep thinking about it. And won't concentrate at all during practice.
“You'd better go home. I'll leave the practice until today for you. Your game was terrible today,” I told Naru to go home. There was no point in making Naru continue practicing. She'll just mess up even more.
“What do you mean! You shouldn't have told me to go home. If you're like this to me, you're the same as kicking me out,” Naru exclaimed suddenly. For the first time, Naru dared to be rude in front of me. Seeing her acting this rude in front of me. Makes me very sure that Naru's condition is unstable.
Even though she had been rude to me. As much as possible, I didn't get provoked by her rudeness. I knew that it would only make things worse.
“I'm still talking to you nicely. So please go home and calm your mind. It won't do you any good if you persist in continuing the training. Your mind isn't right,” I told her in an attempt to be understanding.
“Damn it! I'm like this because I keep worrying about you. But you don't care about that at all. You only care about people who have nothing to do with you directly like being friends with our opponents.” Naru, who was feeling sensitive, attacked back and accused me.
“Your words are too much. I don't want to listen to you talk anymore. Please get out.” Trying to end the conversation I deliberately, not wanting to get involved any further.
But Naru, who didn't accept it, just pulled my collar and she looked at me very sharply. She looked terrible and was being overpowered by her own emotions. Naru who usually looks silly, now looks much different than usual.
“You want to pick a fight with me? Go ahead and do it, I'm happy to oblige you. But just know that you're the first person to make a scene between the two of us,” I told her.
Naru said nothing. She removed her hand from my collar and pushed my body away slightly. Slowly her face softened a lot from before. It looks like her consciousness is now starting to recover a little.
“You don't dare to fight me? Well it looks like you'd better get out of this band. You're just a troublemaker. If someone like you is allowed to linger in the band. I'm sure you'll only make noise and annoy the other members.” The words just flew out of my mouth without my control.
“Are you really telling me to quit the band?” asked Naru in a weak voice. Now she looked like she'd lost her zest for life.
“Why not? If it makes the band suffer a loss because of you, I don't have to bother making my head hurt to take care of you.”
Silent for a moment, Naru just stared at me in disbelief. Now her face looked both disappointed and desperate. She picked up her bass and also her bag.
“If that's your wish, I'll agree to it.” Naru who felt discarded finally left the practice room.
After Naru's departure, Kano and Yama approached me. The two of them who previously chose to remain silent, and were afraid to get involved. Now chose to open their voices.
