"Shara, baby, please talk to me. I can't avoid you anymore. I'm begging you, stop ignoring me."
Mom and Dad weren't here at home when I came home from school and I also didn't know where they went. I know they didn't go out to buy groceries because Mau answered it all yesterday. Our stocks and refrigerator were all full so I don't have any idea where did they go.
And this guy beside me, asking for forgiveness after four days of ignoring me. Ever since I arrived from school, he suddenly came and brought foods for me but it won't kill my anger towards him. He can’t take me to the apologies and giving him food.
He lied. He freaking ignored me like what I'm doing right now. He had to endure because he was able to tolerate me being ignored for four days. I should be the one to take revenge now. I'm not going to talk to him nor even glance at him.
I don't care!
"Baby, I didn't really mean that. My mother confiscated my phone so that I couldn't reply to you. Now she just came back to me and allowed me to come to you because Sister Casyn begged her," he tried to explain.
Still, I didn't say anything. I just kept reading my notes because we have a quiz tomorrow. So, it's really true. His parents dislikes me. Ashley probably told them that I came from a poor family and was still sick. What do I expect?
He said that his phone was confiscated. He could borrow a phone from his friends or even call the hospital's phone, but he didn't. He was also banned from going out to meet me... his girlfriend. And he couldn't do anything to fight for me. He still preferred to listen and obey his parents because that's the right thing to do.
"Baby. I've been wanting to see you, hug you, and talk to you for a few days. I really didn't want that," he said with a tinge of sadness.
I looked at him annoyed and he seemed to be expecting this reaction from me."Wow! I'm ashamed of you for almost not being able to sleep worrying and waiting for a reply from you. But since you've explained, you can go now. You've seen me and talked as much as you want. What are you waiting for? "
"S-Shara... let's talk about this. If I could just run away and come to you but my sister also needs my guidance. I'm still taking care of the case of her stupid ex-boyfriend so I also lost It's time to find a way to talk to you. It's also hard for me---"
"Don't blame me for that, Caseth. It's okay with me if you're going to take care of your sister because I understand her situation. I'm just asking for information so that I know something somehow. Why? Can't you borrow your friend's phone just for a while? But it looks like you're not the only one taking care of Sister Casyn," I replied bitterly to her.
There was a look of shock on his face when I said that."W-What do you mean? Baby... it's not like that."
"I'm not even saying you have a prediction. Can you just go home or go back to the hospital? I don't want to talk to you when my head is still bursting in anger." I quickly walked out of my room and he still followed me to the kitchen.
He grabbed my hand gently that made me face him."I can't afford not to talk to you in depth, Shara. I've been longing for you these past few days so let me---"
"Shut up and go home! I don't want to see you and talk to you just about anything! Leave now!" I hissed.
I saw his pleading eyes looking at me."B-Baby... I brought a bouquet of flowers and a cake for my peace offering. Just accept it."
"I don't want to. Take that home, I won't accept any of that. Go home, now!" I pointed the door, telling him to go out.
"Accept it, please. I'm leaving as long as you just accept what I brought. Baby, you--"
I immediately picked up the flower on the table and went to the trash can to throw it away."Here! I accepted so leave! I don't want to see you again unless I want to."
I could see the pain that enveloped his eyes when he witnessed what I did. He gulped and then looked at me with pain. I don't know why it hurts me to see him like that. But I still can't really afford to see him after the days when I feel like I just don't care about him. My eyes started to water but I tried to stop from crying in front of him.
"I-If that's what you want, I'll go. I know I hurt you too much and it still won't be enough even if I'm sorry. I know this would be hard but I'll give you time and space. Just when you can talk to me again just tell me. I'll always be there for you."
Always, huh?
I led him to the door and as soon as he came out I immediately closed it. I didn't hear any footsteps walking away but minutes after, I heard him walking away. It was there that I let out the tears I had been holding back.
It was a hard decision but it's the best for both of us. He already explained but I want more. Maybe he didn't know that I saw their pictures on instagram and he didn't seem to know either. I have so many things to tell him but I still can't do it now. My brain is still very confused and my head is also hot. I might say something below the belt.
"Shara, did your boyfriend come in here? Your Papa and I saw him outside the gate, he looks deep in thought and sad. Have you talked yet?" Mama asked out of a sudden.
I slowly chewed the food on my mouth and nodded."Just a moment because I yelled him. I have my schoolworks and I don't want to pass it late again. Where did you go before?"
"Just at church, we talked to father for a while. Oh, eat some more. Maureen brought a lot more for you," Papa replied.
After I ate, I went upstairs to take my medicine. My phone vibrated to signal that someone texted me. It was him. He's reminding not to eat dinner late, drink my medicine after, and not to stress out myself on my works. Like what we agreed, I didn't reply to him since we're both adjusting. We're still cool off though.
"It's always your morning, Shara. What are you up to?" Fiona asked me.
I shook my head."Nothing. Just want to continue reviewing here since it's quiet. I'm sleeping early so I can't do much what I need to do."
"How about your medicine? Did you take it?" Roses asked.
I nodded."Yes. Done after eating breakfast. Thank you for the food you gave ah? Until now, Papa couldn't find a job that suits his ability."
"How many million times have you thanked us, aren't you tired? It's okay as long as you are," Josh replied.
I'm really annoyed that he hears thank you and I'm sorry. But I won't get tired of thanking them because they gave me hope to live more. They are able to make me happy as usual and they also make me feel better.
"Bess, have you talked to Caseth yet? I heard he's in now," Mau whispered to me as he sat down next to me.
I tried to act normal, not affected on it."He went home yesterday when I got home. I didn't talk to him like how he ignored me these past few days. He explained but not like that. It's easy for me to lose my temper with him. Remember those pictures of him and Ashley? Even now I'm still hurt when I remember that."
"So? What were his reasons? Mind if you'll tell me?" she asked curiously.
I took a deep breath before answering."He said his mommy nonfiscated the phone when they arrived. Maybe his parents find out that Ashley and Caseth weren't back together and they might get mad. His first girlfriend is Ashley so no wonder if she is very close to his parents. Plus, she saved Sister Casyn 'allegedly'. His parents didn't let him go out of the hospital to see me, even to reply on me. That's why I'm just angry."
"Bess, I don't agree with him but it seems valid. We, especially the rich ones, always depend on our parents because they give us all our needs. If we disobey them, they will get angry and there will be consequences. Maybe that's what happened to Caseth, they blackmailed him so you can't meet.It's either Ashley and his mom planned it to separate the two of you and those pictures are one of their ways.I'm thinking that maybe now they'll be angry with you and Caseth and you might break up with him. Think carefully, babe." She gave me a convincing smile before looking in front.
"Mau... his parents don't like me. What am I going to do? They want Ashley for him and it looks like they will do everything to get them back together," I said frustratedly.
What am I against Caseth's family? They have the right to judge his girlfriend for the best of him. They raised him rich and high class so they really didn't want him to choose a woman like me.
She tapped my shoulder slightly."We can't force them to like you, Shara. Just be yourself and prove to them that you love each other. Maybe... just maybe, it will work out. So you better find it on yourself to clear things out."
"How about Ashley? Nothing can really stop her from persevering to win Caseth's heart again."
"That bitch has a strong fighting spirit so you should have it too. Don't lose to him just because she's prettier and richer than you. Remember, you're her girlfriend so you have the right to her. Fight for it. As long as you're still there, there's hope."
Thanks to my best of friends, I totally calmed my senses down. I was able to focus in class without over thinking. She's right. As long as we were together and we're faithful to each other, nothing's wrong it it. And if we really meant for each other, we won't be separated by destiny.
I said goodbye to cr for a while and will be back soon. When I went to the CR, I suddenly felt like my chest is aching. My chest tightens even more and no matter what I hit on it, I really don’t want air to get in. I was asking for air because both of my nose and mouth couldn't inhale air.
What is happening to me again? As far as I remember, I'm not stressed nor tired. I also took medicine before entering and I also brought extra in the bag that I will drink this lunch.
What the heck!
I was also weak and could no longer hold on to the sink. The door suddenly opened and it revealed Mau who was shocked after seeing me.
"God! Are you being attacked again?" she panicked.
"Inhaler..."
I don't know how she brought an inhaler and gave it to me. Maybe she followed me to make sure that I'm okay. They always remind me to bring inhaler wherever I want to go for my safety. But I don't think even here in CR, I will be attacked.
"Are you okay now? You're making me nervous again. It's a good thing I followed you right away and I brought an inhaler," she said worriedly.
Gradually, I felt better because he was caught right away. We immediately get out of the CR for me to get a fresh air. The atmosphere needs to be clean for me to breathe fresh air continuously. Maybe I was just suffocated earlier that's why it happened.
"Just don't tell anyone that I had a minor attack again. They might worry about me even if it's just a little heartache," I begged her.
She thought."Why is it attacking again? Did you take medicine? Did you drink a lot of water? How do you feel?"
"I'm done taking the medicine, the next lunch will be this afternoon. And I always drink some water like what the doctor said. Lately, I felt normal. I'm not weak but earlier while I was having a minor attack, I felt like I suddenly lost of strength. I couldn't even breathe whatever I do, "I replied confused.
She guided me to stand up properly."What if we'll go to a doctor? We'll take a check-up, bess? I don't think if it's normal."
"No! I don't like that anymore, Mau. Maybe I'm just like this because I'm still sick. It won't heal that easy and it takes time. Let's skip this first."
At lunch break we ate together as friends. They eat healthy foods to seem to have a good influence on me. Since they insisted and forced themselves to eat those, I just ate too. It's a pity and they still paid for it.
"How are you and your boyfie, Shara? How sweet is Caseth to you?" Kyla asked tremblingly.
I was stunned for a moment and I know they felt that."Uh... we're on a cool off. There's just a misunderstanding so we decided to give each other a little space."
"What?! You've been like that for two weeks? How about when you've reached the moon," Daniela said in shock so Allison kicked her.
"You guys can fix that. He changed and we saw it. He probably won't trade you for his ex," Fiona added so Roses punched him as well.
"His family dislikes me. They prefer Ashley for him but I can't blame them for that." I lost my appetite so I just drank water.
They were still mumbling and signaling who would speak. And then, they looked like shock and stopped whispering to each other

"I don't care if they dislikes the girl I love. I can fight for her no matter what."
There I was stunned and immediately looked behind me. There, he was standing at my back while holding his tray of food.
