CHAPTER 12
Damien POV
As I strolled through the heart of our pack territory, a warmth filled my chest. Celestria, the kind-hearted and radiant member of our pack, walked beside me. Today held a special announcement—one that made my heart race with excitement.
"Hey everyone," I began, a grin spreading across my face. "I have something important to share with you all." The pack members gathered around, curiosity evident in their eyes.
With joy in my heart, I want you all to meet my mate, Celestria," I declared, pride and affection evident in my words. I motioned for Celestria to step forward, her presence illuminating the clearing.
Cheers erupted, and I couldn't help but smile as the pack embraced the announcement. Celestria's eyes sparkled with happiness, and the connection between us felt stronger with every passing moment.
The pack gathers around, welcoming Celestria with open arms. Her confidence shines as she greets each member, her bratty demeanor softened by the genuine warmth in her eyes.
A few murmurs of confusion and discontent began to spread among some members. I could sense their unease as they glanced at each other, their expressions questioning.
Amidst all the cheers and kind words, a voice spoke up from the crowd, interrupting the joyful atmosphere.
One pack member, Jake, spoke up with a furrowed brow. "What about Sarah? Isn't she your girlfriend?" he questioned, his tone holding a hint of frustration.
I took a deep breath, realizing that not everyone would understand the complexities of the situation. "While Sarah was a significant part of my life, I have come to realize that Celestria is my true soulmate. She completes me in a way that no one else can, and I cannot deny the pull of destiny." I explained, trying to convey my feelings without causing more confusion.
A hush fell over the gathering as some faces softened with understanding, while others remained skeptical. Sarah herself stood at a distance, her expression a mix of surprise and hurt.Sarah herself stepped forward, her eyes showing a mix of sadness and acceptance. "I understand your decision, Damien. I want you to be happy with Celestria," she said, gracefully handling the complicated emotions at the moment.
The pack looked thoughtful, processing this new information. Change can sometimes be challenging, especially when it involves matters of the heart.
To ease their worries, I assured them, "I understand that this may be difficult to accept at first. But I ask for your trust and support as we embark on this new journey together."
There was a moment of silence as the pack absorbed my words. I could sense their mixed emotions, but I hoped that with time, they would come to see the authenticity of my connection with Celestria.
In the following days and weeks, I decided to make a conscious effort to be close to Celestria, but every time I tried to be close to Celestria, she would push me away. It seemed that the timing was never right, and it left me feeling frustrated and confused.
Every time I made an effort to be close to Celestria, she would push me away. It was like a never-ending game of cat and mouse, and I was starting to feel like a bratty child who couldn't get their way.
I would plan romantic dates, thinking that the timing was finally right, only to have Celestria cancel at the last minute. It was as if the universe was conspiring against me, making sure that our moments together were always interrupted or cut short.
I would try to surprise her with thoughtful gestures, but she would dismiss them with a wave of her hand. I would attempt to express my feelings, but she would brush them off as if they were insignificant. It was like a never-ending cycle of rejection, and it left me feeling anger and frustrated.
One time, I arranged a candlelit dinner, carefully setting the mood with soft music and her favorite meal. But just as we were about to sit down and enjoy the ambiance, her phone rang with an urgent call, and our romantic dinner turned into a rushed meal on the go.
Another, I planned a surprise weekend trip to a cute cabin in the woods, hoping for romantic walks and cozy talks. But when we got there, a sudden storm hit, leaving us stuck inside the cabin with no power or phone signal. It felt like a mean joke, and I couldn't help but pout like a grumpy kid.
I couldn't help but wonder, was it me? Was I doing something wrong? It felt like I was walking on eggshells, trying to find the perfect moment to connect with her, but the timing was always off. It felt like she had something against me, trying to keep her distance.
I wanted to shake her and demand answers. Why was she pushing me away? Why couldn't we find the right timing to connect? But I knew deep down that it wasn't the right approach. I needed to be patient and understanding, even if it felt like the most difficult thing in the world.
After countless failed attempts, I finally managed to secure a date with Celestria. I was so excited and nervous at the same time. This time, I wanted everything to be just right. So, I picked a beautiful place for our date, a quiet spot by a calm lake with lots of green trees around.
As I planned a date for Celestria, determined to make it unforgettable, I couldn't shake the butterflies fluttering in my stomach. Despite the challenges we faced, tonight felt like a fresh start.
As Celestria arrived, her radiant smile lit up the whole area. She greeted me with a playful twinkle in her eye, and my heart skipped a beat. Could this be the night I finally confess my love for her?
We sat down on a blanket, our feet grazing the soft grass. The air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers, creating a magical ambiance. Celestria's enchanting presence made it feel like we were the only two people in the world.
Feeling the weight of my emotions, I mustered up the courage to utter the words that had been swirling in my heart. With butterflies fluttering in my stomach, I took her delicate hand in mine and looked into her eyes, trying to convey my sincerity.
"Celestria, I've realized that what I feel for you is more than just a bond or a mere connection. You have become the very essence of my happiness, my inspiration. You're the person I think about when I wake up in the morning, and the last thought on my mind before I sleep at night. You bring light into my life, and I've fallen deeply in love with you."
Celestria's sarcastic expression slowly faded, replaced by a thoughtful gaze. I could see the wheels turning in her mind as she contemplated my words. My heart raced, hoping that I could break through her barriers and show her the depth of my love.
A smirk played at the corner of her lips, and her eyes widened in disbelief. "Well, well, Damien. You certainly know how to catch a girl off guard. Your words have managed to shock me, but I suppose I can see a hint of sincerity in your eyes. Maybe, just maybe, it's time for me to lower my guard a little and give in to the love you're offering."
I felt so much better, like a heavy burden had disappeared. I touched Celestria's cheek gently and said, "Celestria, please give me a chance to show you how much I love you. You mean everything to me." With that, I kissed her passionately, savoring the sweet moment between us.
As our lips met, time seemed to stand still. The world faded away, leaving only the warmth of her embrace and the softness of her lips against mine.Download Novelah App
