Jean couldn't sleep the entire night thinking of her escape plan. She can't just escape. She needs to escape with her mom and Gary. There's no way she will leave them behind. Her cell wasn't that bad. She witnessed the breaking of dawn in the east. She was never a morning person but seeing the sunrise for the first time, it gave her hope; and just as bright as the rising of the sun, she hatched a bright escape plan. She finally heard the door rumbled open. She immediately took her seat seeing it wasn't Fienes who came this time: it was a man wearing a lab cap, a face mask, and a lab gown. But something about this man seems je ne sais quoi. "Oh, you're awake." The man said. She's trying to recognize his voice. She noticed the soldier outside was ready in case of emergency. She looked at the man wearing a lab gown walking towards her. When he was finally in front of her... "This is just for precautionary measures so please do behave." The man said and leaned to inject something on her right arm. "It's me, Jean." The guy whispered under his breath. "What was that for?" She asked when he was done. "Wilson???" She whispered back. He slightly nodded. “It's just a sedative." He said and stood still. She doesn't feel anything. She's not sleepy at all. Was it because of Amora? "It's water." He whispered when he checked his wrist watch. "Do i...?" She motioned to faint. He scratched his eyebrow with his thumb. She slowly fainted. She heard the footsteps came in and she felt someone carrying her and putting her in another bed. When she felt the bed rolled out of the room, she slightly opened her eyes and saw that the soldiers are taking her somewhere. Wilson was on her feet, a few feet away from the bed. "Let me take over." Amora said. "How?" She asked. "Just close your eyes." She said and Jean did what she was told. The bulbs from the ceiling shattered one by one and the warning lamps turned on. Wilson tried to reach for the hospital bed but the soldiers pushed him back and was brought on the opposite direction of where they were supposed to be going. Jean opened her eyes and they were glowing. The soldiers noticed and they pushed the hospital bed away and made a protective formation. She took her seat and stretched as if she had been in a long nap. She looked at them and smiled. "Awww... You're so cute. As if those play things of yours could hurt me." She said and crumpled her hand and all the guns were crumpled like a paper. She then manipulated their breaths and they all choked, slowly, painfully, until she broke all their necks. She jumped down from the hospital bed and went to the dead soldiers. She removed one pair of combat shoes from them and wore it. She took all their bullets and one walkie-talkie so that she will be updated where the other soldiers could be. She continued to walk and noticed the hidden cameras. She manipulated the power wires hidden on the walls and short-circuited all the CCTV lines. She heard a static line from the walkie-talkie. "Subject is on lose. Take her down. Over." The man on the walkie-talkie said. "We're looking for the subject, over." Someone replied. She smirked. She continued to walk past the different bolted doors made of wood. They really prepared for this but she's Amora, annihilation runs through her. Her eyes changed and the sunny skies slowly turned into darkness and thunderstorms. ***** "This is bad." Benedict gazed at the darkening sky. "Is there an upcoming hurricane?" Tin asked. "There is none." He answered. "Probably just a sudden change of weather." Tin shrugged his shoulders. "It is not." He disagreed. "Then what do you suppose this is? I didn't summon that." "You didn't, but someone did." "You don't suppose my brother did that." Tin laughed. "It wasn't your brother, Tin. It was Amora." He stated. Tin's face darkened. ***** The wind grew stronger and stronger in the span of minutes. Lightning and thunderstorms filled the air as Amora strode in the hallways looking for Doc Tessa and Roland. She could just runaway but Jean would suppress her if she will not help her find her mother and her boss. And just as narrow as the hallways, her patience was running thin as well. She lifted her hands in the air and summoned lightning and threw it on the walls. Since the walls were made of wood, it didn't do much damage which frustrated her. If only she mastered the 4 elements before that tragedy... She smirked. If 4 year-old Diane can shatter a 2-story building, 20 year-old Jean can do better. She knelt down and placed her hands on the ground. Her eyes glowed as she emitted an overwhelming yellow aura. She felt all the metals underground. She smiled widely. ***** In the middle of the forest, not too far away from where the hideout was located, Vera, Leinth, and Jon felt an ominous, overwhelming surge of unknown power. "Can you feel it?" Vera asked. "Feel what?" Jon asked and looked at Vera. "Are you okay?" He asked and went to her. "I don't know. I'm not sure what I am feeling right now." She said. "Your nose is bleeding." Leinth noticed. "What?" She frowned and she wiped her nose. She looked for her tissue and wiped the blood on her nose. "There's something in this forest. This is Bakir, right?" She asked. "Yes. We're nearing the heart of this place." Leinth said. "This is where it happened, right?" Vera asked again. "What do you mean?" Jon asked. Leinth sighed. "Yes. In the very heart of this place." He answered. ***** "The prophecy is happening." The old lady muttered. The young man, who was her adopted grandson, looked at her puzzled. "What do you mean, grandma?" "Madanun to ti aldaw nga agsipnget iti lubong ket agsisinnupadinto ti gurruud ken kimat. (The day will come when the world will plunged into darkness, and lightning and thunder will take over.)" "Is that a bad thing?" He asked. "Addan tu ti maysa a balasang a sumangbay iti kataltalunan ket isunto iti pagrugyan ti pammati. (There will be a maiden who will come and it would be the start of faith.)” “Do we need to wait for the maiden?” he asked again. “We don’t. We will wait.” ***** Tin, Benedict, and Rodrigo reached the Golden Palace. They were summoned in the throne. When they reached the center of the hallway, Tin knelt on his right knee and bowed. The two followed. “Diiconsentes, you summoned us.” Tin revered. “The people of Dagras and Ordinarius are in chaos because of an aged prophecy. Find out about the prophecy.” Diiconsentes stated. ‘If it aligns on our favor, fuel the belief of the people. If it doesn’t, get rid of it at once.’ he continued. Tin looked at him with void expression. Benedict and Rodrigo looked at Tin discreetly. “As you will, Diiconsentes.” Tin bowed his head and stood. The two stood as well. They all bowed and turned away. “What prophecy is he talking about?” Rodrigo asked. “That’s what we’re going to find out.” Tin replied. ***** The ground started to quake and most of the people ran out of the building. Fienes calmly sat on his swivel chair in his office. A man in a black suit entered the office. “Guild master, the copter is ready.” Fienes stood up and walked confidently out of his office. “What are we going to the subject, sir?” the man asked. “We’ll let her go this time so we can see her full potential.” He answered and they disappeared on then hallways. Amora lifted her hands from the ground and excavated all the metals. The building started to collapse. She closed her eyes to feel the aura of Doc Tessa and Roland. When she found them chained somewhere in the basement, she teleported and found them both unconscious and injured. She removed the chains and was about to teleport them out of the basement when she heard footsteps running towards the place. She turned around when the footsteps stopped behind her. The man hugged her: it was Wilson, Jean’s friend. “I’m glad you are safe. I know you’re wondering why I am here, but I will tell you soon enough when we meet again. For now, let’s get you all out of here.” Wilson said and hugged them all out and teleported them in the middle of the forest. “Take them to the MARVELOUS compound. I need to take care of this first.” Amora said. “I will meet you there, then. Be careful and be safe.” Wilson said and teleported Doc Tessa and Roland away. “Let’s avenge them.” Amora said and teleported herself back to where she was held captive. She covered the area with a lightning shield and slowly shrink it until the laboratory exploded. ***** BOOM. A loud explosion caught everyone’s attention. The MARVELOUS rushed to the scene and met each other there. The place was in ruins; scattered metal debris, shattered wooden debris all around the place, and scattered fire among the rubbles. “This is where they held Jean?” Vera said, there was anguish in her voice. “Scanning the perimeter… scan complete. Multiple deaths scanned: 30. Signs of life: 0.” Anthony’s scanner announced. “Jean couldn’t be dead.” Benedict stated. They all looked at him. “Amora took over her, I know. I can feel it. We just need to find her body.” He continued. “Then let’s start digging.” Jon said. “I’ll call this in.” Allison Mcphee, Ibis of ALLIANCE, stated, and made a call. In 10 minutes, the rescue team arrived in jets. ***** Amora walked and walked until her feet could no longer do one step and her mind was all foggy. She overused her power and overused Jean’s body. She fainted.
